  • I tried this style this week and it cam out so cute! You are amazing! I originally saw it on Curly Nikki as a style for "styling challenged" people like myself. Can you make similar videos for people who aren't the best at styling?

  • I mean you are truly awesome. I love the styles that you do.

  • How do you keep your flat twists from rising

  • Where did you get those ear rings and I love all your hair styles

  • I loved this style and I'm going to try to re-create the twist rings. It's a great protective style and I'm loving it. You go girl.

  • great tutorial...how old are you? lol, you look young. (thats a good thing. lol) I love your voice, you sound like one of those narrators off of sesame street. Love the vid! thanks! :)

  • i love how this style came together! you are very creative with your styles and I like that! :) you have inspired me to be more creative with mine!

  • This is SO CUTE!! I have to try it :-)

  • Is this a style that you can do if your transitioning? and instead of aloe vera can I use coconut oil?

  • Thanks very much!!! xxx

  • Your hair is gorgous and the style is - top of the range :-),, please can you confirm the name of the Hair honey product, my English ears can't quite catch the name of the product and I would really like to try it. Thanks! xx

  • @ihave2makeit its Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey :)

  • Very very nice. Creative. Lovely. Be blessed

  • Gorgeous, creative hairstyle! In fact, I think u've given me a style I can switch up and make work for my desire to do fewer twists and still have my hair protected and look fierce! Definitely fav'ing this for future reference. Thanx

  • Wow! This is my first time watching you, gotta tell you this is the prettiest twist style I've ever seen! Very creative! Now please excuse me while I go watch your other videos!

  • ....Corkscrew curls. Any suggestions?

  • I am having trouble with my hair. It's not like yours. Once I start taming the curls, it does not puff anymore. I love you hair because when you twists it, they are kind of puffy and have volume. With mine, my hair become virtually straight at the root and only puffs a little. I have tried it on damp, wet and dry hair. I use a light moisturizer to do this as gel or anything else will weight it down significantly. My hair is wavy in the top middle section and the rest consists of corkscrew cur

  • So cute! lovessssssssssssit!

  • Girl your hair is always on point..... but where do you get the inspirations for all these styles????

  • Thanks for making this, you really don't know how helpful these are !!!

  • All I have to say is YOU PUT IN WORK for this style, trust me!

  • Man that's some work I had no Idea!!! But it's so worth it I love your hair like this:) So Creatively Done :)

  • I love being natural and watching where my hair could be in my future. I pray that everyone going through this journey can be patient because it does take while but it is soooo worth it in the future :)

  • Loving this hairstyle wish I could do this but I cant wear bobby pins but loving this look!!!

  • I have same hair texture as you.

  • Great tutorial latreil! =)

  • How creative! You have more patience than me!

  • Love the ring idea! Ur so innovative :) Favorited!!!!

  • Your hair is beautiful! Love the styles, Always!

  • I had to add it to my favorites! Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks for the tutorial. I thought that the style looked really pretty prior to you rolling the twist. If i do this style but without rolling the twist does this mean that it is not a protective style? I always thought that a protective style was a style that did not require you to comb your hair often. Is this not true. Do you have to cover your twisted ends?

  • @amyy164 You don't have to necessarily roll your twists in order to make it a protective style. Protective styles require that all of your hair is protected, including the ends your hair which would mean the ends of your hair as well. Twists are still a good style because it does let you leave your hair alone (no manipulation), but if the ends are not rucked away in some way, it's not a "true" protective style. Hope that makes sense!

  • @160Days2Lose2 Thanks

  • @amyy164 A low manipulation style is one that does not require you to comb your hair often. In a protective style your ends are covered. Both assist with length retention.

  • wow! you are so creative. it looks great!

  • Girl, you be doing UP some twist styles! Love ur signature do!

  • The Queen of Protective Styling Hairstyles!

  • @PearlfectJourney Awww, THANKS!

  • Super cute. Your hair has really grown and it's so healthy. I really love this style. I just wish that my hair was near ad thick as yours and then I could probably do protective styles like I really want to. Hopefully if I keep using Mane and Tail shampoo/conditioner I'll get there! Again I really dig this hair style. Great tutorial by the way as well ;)!!!

  • Love this style! I wish I could flat twist, but I don't know how. Keep those wonderful different hair styling ideas coming.

  • Love the look.

  • I wish I have the patience for this style but I don't....knowing me half way through the whole thing it would look like a total disaster...lol. I love it on you. Great tutorial.

  • That aloe vera gel is for sun burns. It has alcohol in it which is why it dries out your hair. You need to get dietary aloe vera gel, that you would get from a vitamin store. The liquid or gel kind is 100% Aloe Barbadensis. It won't dry your hair out at all and it will define your curls a lot better.

  • @flyyblakkbarbee Actually this does not contain alcohol and I'm not using this to define my "curls" (or lack there of).

I use this when I'm too lazy to make my flax seed gel since I no longer use eco-styler.

  • @160Days2Lose2 Why did you stop using eco styler?

  • @adhuze After I finished the product I never purchased it again since I found natural gels that are just as effective as eco-styler and just as inexpensive.

  • @160Days2Lose2 OK. I thought it was the ingredient list because you know you "on it" with those ingredients. Besides flax seed gel, what other natural gels do you recommend. And, thanks for the quick reply.

  • you are TRULY one of my favorite hair youtubers, you're videos are such an inspiration to me. Im 15 years old and i've been constantly flatironing my beautiful curls, damaging them of course, and I think it's time for me to begin my own natural hair journey. Thank you for being such an inspiration. :)

  • @kaylinmarie2895 That is so amazing you are taking the steps to better the health of your hair my going natural at such a young age! I commend you because when I was 15 I didn't even TOUCH my own hair (besides wrapping it at night). Flat twists, what? Sulfate, who? Petrolatum, huh? Everything was foreign to me and my stylist was my BEST FRIEND because she hooked a sista up every 2 weeks!

So kudos to you hun for starting your own journey!!!!!

  • Ooooh, I love this!

  • Beautiful. All I need is half your hair added to mine.....

  • Awesome style. I really enjoyed this tutorial. It looks great on you.

  • ur so talented! absolutely amazing and beautiful job! thanks for sharing

  • Very nice I'll have to try this one. Be Blessed~~

  • nice!

  • very pretty!

  • Cute! Thanks for adding how long it took and how long it lasted to the video.

  • Very creative.

  • Wish I could do that, you're really talented.

  • SO creative! :) Definatley going to try this hairstyle!

  • Gorgeous!!!

  • @kimmaytube Thanks Kim!

  • Beautiful! You and you hair! :)

  • I wish my twist could come out nice and fat like yours. I'm still going to try this though.

  • Not sure if this is intentional or not, but I like how after you parted your section you started the first flat twist in the middle. I will have to try this, because I'm sure this helps your parts stay uniform. Great technique!

  • Fancy made easy!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Girrrrl! How do you come up with these styles?! lol Very creative! Lovely!

  • @101LadyT Lol! I have no idea. Sometimes I have a picture in my head and run with it, other times I just style as I go. Thanks! :o)

  • the style is very very cute, suits you. And your hair looked really shiny! :)

  • Your such a Beau lady! Love all ya videos! Such an inspiration :-)

  • @BeauGorgeousNatural Aww!!! Thank you! :o)
