  • @ajtempl seriously? iron age fairytales? what if these fairytales, by any chance, where true? personally, i find it realllly hard to believe that a whole bunch of factors came together randomly into the ideal combination and all of a sudden created life, and a ton of processes were set in motion and somehow knew exactly what to do, how to do it, and what was necessary for them to happen, than to believe there is a Creator who loves you with all his heart.

  • some really good stuff here

  • i enjoyed this vid

  • name calling and whining wont change the fact he got elected and you cannot stop him or his beliefs from RUNNING things as he wishes.

    Michael Savage is correct;

    "LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER"

  • Someone should of gone up and quoted Star Wars.

  • Yeah, he just owned all that science with his bible. Brilliant!

  • Great, the people with their fingers on the button are calling on their schizophrenic delusions for guidance. That always goes so well.

  • Wow & I always thought that Muslim countries were run by religious lunatics, now I can see that America is too.

  • wow,..just wow what an idiot

  • And these people run the country! what a fucking douche! Keep your iron age fairy tales out of public debate!

  • The Sun will die in about 4 billion years

  • Has no one heard of "separation of church and state"???? Oh wait, we talk a lot about it, but it has never happened since the inception of America. You know, that whole pledging our allegiance to god and his name on our money. FUCK THAT HYPOCRITICAL SHIT.

  • Wow, this ain't France or Sweden!

  • People like this give real Christians a bad name. God won't destroy the earth by FLOOD. Guess what? God will "destroy them that destroy the earth" Rev, 11:18. Read the rest for yourself. It won't be long now.

  • "...NOT TOO MUCH CARBON"... WHAT A F*CKING IDIOT!!!

  • when will people realize that our country was not founded as a christian nation... "in god we trust" simply means a "higher power" and not an abrahamic god... in fact, thomas jefferson, john adams, and ben franklin amongst others, not only were ambivalent to christianity, but down right HATED religion period

  • @TC4363 says you..

  • man... its obious this dumb fucker that posted this video has no idea that his poor little brain is brainwashed by the CATHOLIC religion that is super deceivful and ruleing his couyntry. "hey you dumb ass watch as obama vows down to the catholic pope, that shows you something!!! perhaps you should read the bible and learn about how humans corrupt society!!" god warns you so be ready!

  • this is so sad

  • So IQ's in Illinois are so low they elect this gullible idiot? So magical thinking is a prerequisite for running for office. No wonder this country is a fascistic cesspool.

  • wait, is this being done in a government office? is he reading from the Bible during a government meeting?... that is freaky freaky shit

  • unbelievable. These kind of religious people terrify me. Are there many politicians that are like this in the USA, the most powerful nation on earth. These guys are going to be playing the violin while Rome burns, safe in the knowledge that they will be saved when the rapture comes. Religious justification for continuing to mess up the planet is THE biggest danger. Forget terrorism. Guys like this and the people who believe them are way scarier

  • And people wonder why our country is falling, idiots like this.

  • LOL I love the way this perverted tool Shimkus thinks he's saying something coherant!

  • Don't let the clowns run the circus

  • I need a book from God to quote from to back me up at times like these. Any one feel like they are being inspired to write the infallible word of god?

  • not really

  • John Shimkus, Illinois 19th District, in case anyone's wondering...

  • The Bible, or referencing thereof, has no place in a federal government meeting. If this kind of bullshit is common, there has to be something we can do to stop it. Shimkus needs to be taken out of office for this; these are not the kind of people we want in power in a secular nation.

  • @ReverendRedMage

that's not the kind of people you would want in any position that requires a brain or taking actions of any sort for the benefit of mankind!

  • moron

  • what??

  • I love how the science about the level of CO2 in the age of the dinos is correct (obviously) but all the other science that contradicts the bible... including the science that shows dinos died out 65 million years before humans showed up is the work of atheist demons.

  • Idiots like this one getting elected says a lot about votes.

  • Soooooooooo some nutbag can be super annoying and read from the Bible yet not one politician has yet to read from the Necronomicon? For shame. It's a much better book.

  • Well some just pretend to be Christian, but how is he bad, I'm sure he thinks that pollution will effect somethings, but not end earth totally. I'm sure he would help protect the planet since God gave it to us, and it's our responsibility.

  • @FinalSmashBrother thats just the point though dude no book in this world is perfect and we dont want some idiot trying to guide public policy who lacks the ability to look at the facts and actually understand the data and on top of that he is basing himself in a very contradictory and obviously faulty book just read the damn thing even if god does exist no holy book is this gods word, all holy books are inconsistent no public policy should be decided based on any holy book

  • @cjhmmp Yeah, I mean it depends what he wants to do, the Bible has it's commandments for a reason, each.

I don't know much of this politician, but if he's just bashing him because he is following what the Bible says, doesn't make him an idiot.

  • @FinalSmashBrother even people of faith know that the bible is full of holes so someone who follows it as the so called perfect word is an idiot in that respect and the ten commandments are not even laws with the exception of killing and stealing the other 8 are mostly non-sense and as such are not written into actual human law

  • @cjhmmp Were did you get the perfect world from?

If your talking about laws, well just because it's now illegal does not make it right, in the past slave owning was not illegal, but was it right? no. Selling pesticide infected food is not illegal, Putting atrezine in water isn't illegal.

    Commandments & Morals > Laws

& non-sense?! They actually have the commandments for reasons, each, and every one of them.

  • @FinalSmashBrother perfect/infallible word have you actually listened to this video.

the ten commandments are not laws and on top of that do you really want to get into morals and scripture because if you do im more than happy to educate you on your religion

  • @cjhmmp I know it ain't laws, and I have school for that, & church, so no.

    ...oh perfect word, mis-read that.

  • @FinalSmashBrother i didn't think so

  • when you go to his web page, he spews retard everywhere. He makes blanket claims as if he speaks for all of Americans, including atheists. This is an example of how Americans who fall behind, get left behind. This man is expressing an establishment of religion, a blatant contradiction to our constitution, as if it was his god given right.

he is an example of ...

Americans are equal, but some are more equal than others.

  • archival Leave it to Beaver 1950's footage? No? The country is in deep shit.

  • His name is nearly an anagram for schmuck

  • is this actually happening???

  • There should be an IQ test for each politician..

  • @BacklTrack There is, it's call the voting public.

  • Let’s know what atheists say about who decides the fate of the world

  • @shahd80 Humans decide the fate of the world. This is obvious to anyone who has any level of connection with reality. It is unspeakably irresponsible to ignore whatever potential environmental conditions may lead to an uninhabitable planet however distant their consequences may seem.

  • @Chrismoore1281 Do you decide your own fate? If yes, can you fulfill what you've decided?

  • @shahd80 I only decide it to a degree, but I have the largest influence over my own life. Similarly, humans have the largest influence over the fate of Earth. Ignoring that we have any influence whatsoever, as the speaker advocates, is absolutely irresponsible and deserves to be condemned and mocked in kind.

  • Clips like these make me glad not being an american, but also weep for my species.

  • I fear for my country. The Stupid, It Burns!

  • Rome at one time was a republic. Then It became a theocracy. That same ominous trend can happen hear if not enough people wake up.

  • The question here is very clear because you Americans voted for this brain dead fucker. Who do you want in control of your country?

Do you want people who have their judgement clouded by irrational superstitions and magic books OR do you want people using level-headed, logical, science based reasoning?

  • Ever wonder what it looks like when a democratic, first world country implodes into a third world theocracy? Wonder no longer.

  • "There's a theological debate that this is a carbon starved planet."

What? That's a scientific claim, not theological. That is for scientific debate, not theological debate. Who is this guy?!

  • This person appears to be a representative of Illinois, as such his religion has no place in an official statement. He should have been shut down at the moment he invoked god, and gods will.

By mentioning god in an official statement ... if that is what this is ... he is promoting 1 religion over another and that is against the 1st amendment.

  • Well, that was pretty stupid.

Watch the girl on the right at 0:24 seconds, she just smiles in the "Are you fucking serious" way!

  • Ice layers show that there was more CO2 in the time of the dinosaurs....which was just before Noah's flood, but ice layers are not reliable as a dating method, and the O2 levels revealed by these same methods are false.

This guy is all over the place. Is he seriously trying to claim that there's no link between CO2 and Global Warming? He's at least 30 years behind on his research there.

  • It's all about convenience. Use the "infallible" word of god in one sentence, then fall back on the the times of the dinosaur (which has no place in the beliefs he claims to follow) to support his agenda. Sad.

  • He is making a rather huge claim that God exists. I think he should be required to provide evidence that God exists before talking about what the fucking Bible says.

  • ...Except he doesn't believe that the dinosaurs existed millions of years ago...

  • thats it his rediculous argument suggest he a doesnt understand the bible was edited b he rejects scientific claims and instead substitutes myth and c was indoctrinated as a child, please get this wack job out of office

  • God rules all and clean air kills jobs.

glad i live in the land of beavers and igloos up north.

brb I have to hunt and salt seal and whale for the winter.
