OMG This movie was soooo good. I am glad to see that someone (white) helped Jo with her son. That man put himself into trouble to save them. Being an American Black to see something like that is soo beautiful considering the racial problems here in the states. It was so heartwarming. Thank you Asierramoore for this one!! Big up!

This is the first time that I have seen this film. It is a good movie. I can definitely relate to how David felt about his mother working for a family and caring for other children instead of him.

I appreciate you sharing this film. I love to see all types of movies about different people's experiences. I am AA and even though I'm American, I felt Jo's frustration and pain.

I left my vhs copy of the movie in JA when I migrated. This movie is a classic...it's the closest thing I have seen that depicts what a lot of female immigrants from the Islands have to go through to make things better for their family. I can't thank you enough for posting.
