  • Yeah, I agree. Rakim is utterly astounding lyrically in this album - and there is a bone-scrapingly real honesty to this album, too. He touches on some very personal issues pertaining to him, the industry, politics, spirituality, love, death - there is very little he doesn't broach. As far as his content goes, Rakim has his flow down to a science - it's as though he can throw a stone into a pond without a ripple, just faultless in his blending and bending of words. And this joint here is fire!

  • this album is an artistic triumph. truly. it address the hope of obama, aand the reality of the ghetto. lesser artists would of tried to make a comeback or sound popular for radio play. he is not trying to capture the 80s or 90s, he is addressing the false reality of drugs and the consequences, brave alot of rappers use the drugs facade because they have no real mentality. he talkss about lost, love, his own problems with the industry. as a man not as myth. this is bold! nobody else coulda!

  • 7000 views!! it wont be long before rakim get full recognition

  • Been a Rakim fan from the early days. This new material is as fresh as his early stuff was back them. Rakim's on top.

  • this whole album was incredible i know all of rakim's albums are not appreciated when they come out because he is always putting out songs that have future ramifications. but the audience of hip hop needs to stop eatting baby food and grow up. this album is mature has great real music and is lyrically outstanding and it's independant. more rakim.. pleease

  • The best!!!!!

  • SICK

  • how does this only have this many views, its sad that an amazing true rapper isnt being heard as much as he should

  • @oldschoolhiphop4life you are correct , the rakim album is exqusite. it is ahead of it's time. NO it is ON time!!! to be exact. it is accurate in it''s analogy of the streets today, and hip hop. it is mature in it's content. it is lyrically superb. and it is commercial free. but with great commercial impact. in short it's everything hip hop today is not. no wonder so many peoplle slept on it because they are literally asleep! may he keep making music. rakim be blessed.
