Am I the only one who felt this slow-motion completely stopped the flow of the scene and felt really out of place?

How ever he dies there is definitely blood on the inside of his visor. Id put my money on the pressure of the blast though.

@warior531 This has nothing to do with his protective gear. A high velocity explosive this size creates a serious amount of pressure with its blast wave. You are basically hit by a wall of dense, incredibly fast air particles, which damages your body on the superficial level, i.e. skin, bones etc. After that initial impact, there are the shockwaves that will continue to pass through, travelling through the organs and tissues. Currently there are no means to stop shockwaves with protctive gear

@96GuitarDude .... It's g-force. Explosions in movies don't usually make sense because it's not the shrapnel or debris that kills you, it's the crushing force of the explosion. The force crushes your insides and in his case, his brain with only one place for the matter to be displaced, his eye-sockets.
