@MrRichyou Check out Charlie Blacksmoke's (aka Adam LaClave, lead singer of Earthsuit) new facebook page. Just go to Facebook and search "Charlie Blacksmoke" :)
Paul really rocks rapping and in the keyboards, but... I don't know, I like most MuteMath, it lacks of rap, but... the final stuff is great.... nice video, thanks
Yeah... I really wish he sounded better, but everything live I've heard it sounds like he's reaaally reaching to hit every note. Maybe he was just sick all the time.
This makes me miss sorely the wonderful days when I would badger my family into driving me six hours to the latest earthsuit show. Oh youth, if only any of us knew what a gift it is...
I've never felt that any band since has so concisely encompassed my eclectic musical and stylistic tastes so definitively.
Mutemath is good, but the strange vocal characteristics of adam offset the rock/rap vocals of paul quite perfectly.
What I wouldn't give to have just one more album and tour...
What are you talking about. Most of mute maths drum beats are hip hop/rap.Yeah i dont really like rap rock stuff but without it there wouldnt be mutemath...or at least mute math wouldnt sound the same.Paul and darren have said themselves that the whole rap rock scene really shaped them musically!
yeah but apparently they sued there current record label for releasing their album to christian music stores, exclusively. from what i understand the cd is now available everywhere.
not sure if that's true. it might just be a rumour i heard.
mute math is contemporary, which is christian music but to a different degree.. its like, emery, switchfoot, the devil wears prada, family force 5, Jars of Clay and so on.. They play regular music, most of the songs have a christian meaning.
Mute Math is *nothing* like contemporary... I mean, seriously, Family Force 5? You're beyond insane to compare the two. Mute Math is way too visionary to be confined to the christian market anyways. Mute Math = music without boundaries
If Paul moved on with Mute Math what are the other guys doing? Earthsuit was the best sounding christian band I've ever heard. Mute Math is awesome too.
Actually, Paul Meany and two other members from Earthsuit are in Mute Math. No official word yet on what the rest of the former ES members are doing though.
thats kool...i know david hutchison as a paramedic in new orleans we worked together a few times. next time you see him tell him john from lifeguard and acadian say's hi.
I hate to get people upset and start a huge argument here, but I'm glad Paul moved on to Mute Math, it's just a better musical group. And their lyrics on better... sorry I said it.
I'm sorry, I would almost disagree with you on that. Yes, Mutemath is very good, but from what I've heard of this band, I'm pretty sure (from just listening to this awesome music) that I would probably would have at least tryied to go to every single concert these guys had.
Adam is still so cute.... I miss that cool hair.... Underrated talent to the max! Thank you Quiet Entertainer!!

@jgm2116 “The lyrical idea of this record is loosely based on our upbringing in what I guess you could call eccentric Christianity,” Meany explains.
They aren't Christian rock, per se, but they are more like rock with a
Christian influence.
