was one of many beautiful actresses who graced the screen with her prescense during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Her song and dance films with Fred Astaire helped elevate her to stardom.
This tribute, like many of redrosebutterfly13's, is classy and befitting for the person it is recognizing.
Thanks for this fine tribute to my favorite actress. It is too hard for me to choose a favorite Ginger movie because as soon as I do then another one comes to mind. I do count "Bachelor Mother" up there with her very best movies. You did a wonderful job with the video.
Pandro Berman required her to make the film anyway, after she refused to play the role of an unwed mother...even if it wasn't so. She admitted it was a mistake only after it proved to be a smash hit. When Astaire and Niven cajoled her about it, she wrote a scathing few sentences in the intro to "Steps in Time", admitting again that she had been wrong. I think though, in life, Ginger must have been SLOW to admit errors...and in WAITING to do so, she created misunderstandings.
Thank you so much for those compliments. They make me feel fantastic : ). It is important to expose people to the classic films and stars. I'm glad there are many people who are keeping this golden era alive. Thank you again and again ; D
Love Ginger, wish I could have met her, or even better married her!

Hey, I'm just curious. Ginger didn't like doing Bachelor Mother?

Yeah because she didn't want to play an unwed mother. You know Ginger, staunch republican, but I love her anyway.
