@MrJMH1954 What many ppl don't know is, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks owes a lot to Mr. Joe Ely, her Dad played for him and after he died he took an interest.
That was when he was GREAT. His pedal steele was later the father of the lead singer in the Dixie Chicks. His drummer passed away in a car accident. Joe was THE BEST. I loved him like nobodys business. We met when he was here in NYC, and about 3 yrs later, when I met her backstage at a Clash show, his huge, ugly girlfriend wanted to throw me out of a window. I looked like Bettie Page at the time, with black hair, cats eyes, and red lipstiick, and Rockabilly style. She was a 6' monster.
Love Joe! Awesome to see Joe, Jesse, Lloyd, Ponty and company again. How many hours did I spend with them at the Cotton Club? Viva la Joe Ely Band!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw him play this song at the Amarillo Civic Center around 1984. He opened for the Maines Brothers.
