The puzzle creators are careful to design puzzles around this. Before it was 5 consonants and a vowel only, and very very often it was all of these letters, so they are now freebies.

That was a win that made up for that WOOL SOCKS late solve on the 12/18/08 show. The reason I say that this puzzle made up for that late solve is because there was a little more money won on the 12/19/08 show ($30,000) than the amount lost on the 12/18/08 show ($25,000)

If you didn't watch the bonus round from 12/18/08, Amy just missed the $25,000 with WOOL SOCKS and if only she had chosen an O she would have had it.

And the only other time I saw a J picked for the bonus round was back in the mid-90s (the puzzle was JUNEAU ALASKA, BTW, and the guy won $25,000-- a clip can be seen on Wolfman12395's channel on YouTube)

That's only the second time I've ever seen someone pick a Z in the bonus round--the other time, the answer was ZOO.

I'll go out on a limb and say this will probably be the only time that Z, W, and J will be the consonants picked in the bonus round.
