I ve heard this twice where I live. It was around the end of Dec 2011. I live in Puerto Rico near San Juan.

It just sounds like ambient noise to me. Either that or it's a hoax. And putting "god bless" in your posts doesn't make you any more trustworthy than anyone else. I also experienced something similar a few weeks ago and recorded. You can view on my channel. I have also found the same roar as it is called on alot of YT videos. The best and most unbiased site that documents these is strange sounds in the sky dot com.
