Guys plz don't fight among us. Plz think why suddenly this is becoming a big issue though KL guys talks about this long time. Actually KL uses 5% of its water resource only.We are brothers n sisters of the great India. No State can live without other state( TN or KL) help. Looks like some external country playing here to divide us. Finally this would affect both of us not other country/anybody. This would affect both states &India's economy. This s wht other countries trying now..Plz understand
Poll is created in 99polls - Cast your opinion on (1) Conversion of Mullaperiyar to a diversion dam (2) Construction of a new dam. The poll can be accessed by googling for "99polls Mullaperiyar". Thanks in advance
i hate ugly black tamil pieces of shit, all you care about is fucking tamilnadu, the most hated, stupid languaged state that only cares about money, you think you're all educated but really you have the mind and looks of monkeys. Obviously there are some exceptions but most tamils are retards. If this dam bursts im sure that someone will bomb tamil nadu and teach you fuckers how to behave.
brothers(indians), i got fed up with debating and commenting regionalists and racists.and outsiders(srilankan tamilans n Pakistanis).they have only one aim to divide us in the name of states.......As an Indian i will never say that i am a marati/gujarti/tamilan/meleyelee..... i am a Indian....instead whatever state i belong.... i will be proud to die as a Indian...if some one kills me in saying this...brothers we should unite together to quite the terrorists from our nation.

facts> 1.mullaperiyar dam is in idukki district now and before independence
2.central govt prevents Kerala from building new dam and not supreme court
so.immediate construction of dam is not possible.it has to bypass various restrictions.
3.Maharaja of Travancore, Visakham Thirunal Rama Varma who owned the land of mullaperiyar before independence and union of states ..........is not a tamilan... .
small
4. with out water from dams of kerala tamilnadu wil become DESERT.
Kerala enacted the Kerla Irrigation and Water Conservation (Amendment) act 2006 to ensure safety of all 'endangered' dams in the State, Second schedule of Act. Section 62A of the Act provides for listing in the schedule, "details of the dams which are endangered on account of their age, degeneration, degradation, structural or other impediments as are specified".The second schedule to the Act lists Mullaperiyar (dam) constructed in 1895 & fixes 136 feet as its maximum water level.

Why does the Supreme Court Expert Panel not accept your claim as valid, but brushed aside your doomsday forecasts and rumour mongering? When people can't speak logic and they shout and escape. In the din and noise produced by the shouting brigade truth cannot be suppressed. Staya Meva Jayate!
Forget about the disclosure by the Advocate General in the honourable high court of Kerala that even if the dam breaks the water would be accomodated by the Idukki reservoir, forget about the opinion given by the experts commitee appointed by the Supreme court that the dam is safe, if at all the dam breaks would the water stored in the reservoir recede back to Kerala or flow into Tamilnadu. Where on earth. the water stored in a reservoir go back to the catchment area in the event of a collapse
@IndianTintumon lol! u pussy! I was the one was talking decently and you were the one who started talking about my mom and dad! If you stop I will also stop!

Some Tamilnadu Politicians give propoganda taht for Raising the Level of Iduki Dam, Kerala demads for Construction of New Dam. For rasing the Level in Iduki, it is better to have No Dam at Mullaperiyar. Dam is reqired to give water to Tamilnadu. Heree, Broad mentality of Kerala is seen, when they say We wil construct New Dam.
@yashika592 Dear friend have you read the links i pointed on what the advocate general of kerala has said in high court of kerala? Please read. He knows law better than me and you can read what he has reported a month ago in the high court of kerala govt. He is a malayali.
Did you visit the youtube link i gave you? Please see the videos. Kind request from a friend!!
@yashika592 Dear friend through youtube--- All i am saying is let us wait for the neutral judgement. Just because a state is in the upstream it cannot deny the livelyhood of many. 95% of natural water in kerala goes into the sea when other part is becoming a dessert. I am equally concerned for the people near the DAM. If the DAM is not safe let us decommission it straight away, if DAM is safe, then do you agree with kerala politicians arrogance in decommisionning a dam for political milege?

@yashika592 you mean to say supreme court judges after through enquiry are dum asses and keralite politicians in assembly are more wise than the judges. It is just vote bank politics. u don seem 2 support T.N at all and not seem to be neutral too. federal govt can decide on interstate issue.Indian union govt/supreme court has no say in it.Great and thats is what happening,KErala shares 70% of its boundaries with T.N. Next to kerala, T.N has more no of malayalis. T.N is second home 2 keralites.

@NEUTRAL68 i am not person who is making laws n amendments, whole legislature corresponding to its state passes the law. i am not responsible for laws passed by any legislature.
@NEUTRAL68 i may ask u what is a federal govt and what is union govt? what do you mean by these terms?i never told that central govt cannot intercept in this issue. i agree with you that central govt can only find a solution for the disputes between states.
supreme court cannot... thats what i was saying before ..you didnt read my comments fully. centre is a mute spectator(narad) between states..all the loss will be to states only in this issue.lets hope for a good.
whatever court verdicts are issued ..Parliament and legislature will continue to make laws to decide the thing that matters with corresponding to its boundaries and according to federal system of democracy.

yes dont diverted from main issue...yes,come up with good law points....and say how one state can interfere in other states matters,? 2. Is it unconstitutional to pass a law in the state legislature to the matters with in state?l
do kerala have a scarcity of water?
according to records there are other dams in kerala that share water to tamilnadu...then what is the real issue? when they are already given way water for past 50 years and continues to be...till right now....
From your opinion jaffna tamil still uses many old tamil words.if you ask any jaffna tamil they say that they can easily understand malayalam but harder to understand madras tamil.
Worst tamil is madras tamil.even a person from south especially from kannyakumari find hard to understand it. In madras they mix tamil with max. english and some telegu words.
@Malayalidravidan First read the book i have listed dont come with a small list. I can take on all your questions if it is really worth talking. I can answer all your queries, but i dont want to waste my time with a fighter. I like intellectual arguments.look at all the answers for your petty false finding questions.
@yashika592 Too all Mallu and Indians Watch the T.N side of the issue if you really want to understand the real issue. It is 42 mins video, worth watching. Knowledge is complete after analyzing both sides. Kerala wants the water to feed its iddukki dam to produce the states electricity needs.
Healthy discussion: Answering to arguments without deviating to degrading other language or people and sticking to facts. by no means this is a healthy discussion.
@yashika592 you never bothered to reply to the supreme court verdict. you do not have enough facts with you. seeing Times now, ndtv can never give you full picture. u didnt know the dam was not the same dam built 116 years back,u didnt know the agreement was renewed after independance. Know first before commenting.
@NEUTRAL68 i already studied the supreme court judgement 2006 which favored the Tamil state govt to raise the water level.from 136 to 142ft... i see the issue from the law side.. Article 162 of indian constitution says that state legislature can pass laws to make decision with in state. do the kerala have the pass the law to the matters with in state,,,my answer is yes..they can..i see meleyelees and tamil...diverting from the main issue.of mullaperiyar.. let me ask some qu
@NEUTRAL68 yes dont diverted from main issue...yes,come up with good law points....and say how one state can interfere in other states matters,? 2. is it unconstiutional to pass a law in the state legislature to the matters with in state?lets begin a healthy discussion?
do kerala have a scarcity of water?

@NEUTRAL68 i refer law books than media...i cannot see from emotional side....
water is not a property..it cant be possessed.by some one.but showing disrespect those who is giving the water only worsen issues i see that with out water the tamilnadu will be a desert place...as there is no natural resource of pure water for drinking and cultivation,,,,irrigational puroposes...

@Malayalidravidan you will never get the sounds because they are african tribal sounds and not our native sounds so we never thought about those sounds while our languages were evolving in india so no indian languages' letters have sounds to pronounce those words/Names. Grow up. Dont fight for the sake of fighting. first listen how cronje is pronounced it is not english pronouncitaion since english letters cannot pronounce those words. No language in the world can be complete and need not be!

@Malayalidravidan Due to its lineage to both Sanskrit and Tamil, the Malayalam alphabet has the largest number of letters among the Indian languages.Malayalam script includes letters capable of representing all the sounds of Sanskrit and all Dravidian languages. Tamil does not have such sanskrit sounds. Get the facts before you speak in a public forum.
Please read the source for this information above, i have books read them to get good knowledge abt malayalam. Some authors are malayalis too.
@Malayalidravidan just like-cronje, boje, சூரியா is also pronounced with what that language has.Whats wrong? The fact is letters arise out of need, since u ve borrowed more words from sanskrit u ve all sanskrit like lettersThink about this!!We dont ve them because 4 a long period we never have to borrow them. No indian languages ve proper letters 2 pronounce cronje, boje because those sounds were not there when our language was evolving.ஜ,ஹ,ஸ்ரீ,ஸ,ஷ not there in tamil literature/present day books
Yes tamizh doesnt have somesounds and is same withany language in the world. You are keen to point out the mistake without seeing the bigger picture. To be precise Tamizh does not have the sanskrit sound like the malayalam. All words u mentioned are sanskrit. This is what i havebeen saying malayalam borrowed lotof words fromsanskrit ask your language teachers.
@yashika592 You say non-sense. It is below my dignity to comment such statements in a public forum. I feel this forum does not have any healthy discussions. with @Malayalidravidan is keen to point out the leaders are non-tamils, this is nothing but pure emotional turbulance with no substance. To give him even more corroborating fact that G.U.POPE an english has done more contribution to tamil language than many other tamizh scholars. Why this is funny?
brothers(indians), i got fed up with debating and commenting regionalists and racists.and outsiders(srilankan tamilans n Pakistanis).they have only one aim to divide us in the name of states.......As an Indian i will never say that i am a marati/gujarti/tamilan/meleyelee..... i am a Indian....instead whatever state i belong.... i will be proud to die as a Indian...if some one kills me in saying this...brothers we should unite together to quite the terrorists from our nation.
,i m from madyapradesh.i have studied supreme court verdict 2006. Article 162 of indian constitution says that state legislature can pass laws to make decision with in state.Supreme court ordered to raise the water level but...after verdict Kerala legislative Assembly passed "a dam safety act " to maintain the water level.its a constitutional right of a state to decide things with in state. only parliament can overrule the states and cancel any law . hope for solution lies in central govt
@Malayalidravidan yes when you are ruled by kings from north india and muguls you tend to borrow some words. but the rate and no of borrowing is less is my view point.
@NEUTRAL68 nonsense..... no mughal ruled tranvancore, cochin, malabar.Kerala the southern most state of India took birth on 1st November 1956, long after Indian Independence on 15th August 1947. Beforehand it was three Independence provinces named Malabar, Cochin and Travancore.
@Malayalidravidan please come to tamil nadu, no test book has the words you claim.
More over I dont want to continue this discussion further. I am so conviunced that malayalam has borrowed more from sanskrit than any other dravidian language. This is not to disgrace one language, i read and i am sharing it with you.
All the words are moslty used by tamil brahmins and not byt most of the tamils,
yes sanskrit words are used in tamil but not as high as in malayalam is my view.
Then how can you write ரஜினிகாந்த்,கமல்ஹசன்,ஸ்ரீதேவி without ஜ,ஹ,ஸ்ரீ in tamil.yes, you can write ஸ,ஷ as ச in tamil.but it is incomplete.you write surya as சூரியா(choorya) instead of ஸூரியா (surya).incomplete language
brothers no state govt in India can lease a land for 1000 years... how s this possible...this makes no sense....its unconstitutional...according to.indian constitution article 162 a state legislature possess powers n make law to decide things.. with in its territory .but for only in 5 years of ruling govt...they can make another law to overcome any laws n agreements that passed before.senseless politicians...senseless followers following blindly with out any reason in order to gain vote
Srilankan tamil including jaffna dialect borrowed words from portugese, malay, sinhala, english, arabic and dutch.
In indian tamil also has large number of sanskrit words like ladcham, maatham, varsham, pavam, papam, pushpam, patharam, kulam, kaaranam and many more.more than 100 sanskrit words now used in indian tamil.

Since you are in M.P you miss some of the vital points in this issue. Let me help you. This agreement was laid during british period. Later this agreement has been revised and agreed by Kerala govt after independence. Last revision of this agreement was on 1979 between the then Chiefministers of the state. I think i have answered your query.
It is fallacy to say its the agreement during british. False propaganda!!
@NEUTRAL68 i have checked its 1970....After several failed attempts to renew the agreement in 1958, 1960, and 1969, the agreement was renewed in 1970 when Achutha Menon was Kerala Cm. Tamil Nadu uses the water and the land of kerala, and the Tamil Nadu government has been paying to the Kerala government if the dam and land is leased/rent how can it be ownership? i think tamilnadu govt should be thankful to kerala for giving water for past 50 years. 999years? i dont see any record?
@NEUTRAL68 what s the meaning of lease? it means rent? or sold?paying rent can claim a house or land??if so i own a lodge here.if one day my customer who pays rent claims my lodge..should i leave? i can only say not to fight as water sharing is not the problem.i don't understand for what is this dispute? kerala govt and tamilnadu govt should continue agreement to share water and come to terms in talk n discussion.. as for welfare and unity of India. no more violence and threatening each other
@Malayalidravidan Before Malayalam came into being, Old Tamil was used in literature and courts of a region called Tamilakam, a famous example being Silappatikaram. The earliest script used to write Malayalam was the Vattezhuttu script, and later the Kolezhuthu, which derived from it. As Malayalam began to freely borrow words as well as the rules of grammar from Sanskrit, The oldest literary work in Malayalam, distinct from the Tamil tradition, is dated between the 9th and 11th century.
No offence I am just conversing with @Malayalidravidan people who are reading in between please ignore. This is no way to degrade any language. I love language history. Just sharing my opinions.
Fact: Today over eighty percent of the vocabulary of Malayalam in scholarly usage is from Sanskrit.
@Malayalidravidan All i was saying is only brahmins(sanskrit base) use the words you listed, not the huge population. My understanding based on the knowledge i have gained is Malayalam has got huge amount of sanskrit vocabs in it than any other dravidian language. You can check! Even we have borrowed but not many.
Thanks for enlightening me. Tamil-Malayalam are one of the most similar languages in the world.
@Malayalidravidan Sir,you are telling that malayalam borrowed many sanskrit words and tamil not.is ஸ்ரீ,ஜ,ஷ,ஸ,ஹ,க்ஷ these letters are original tamil or borrowed from sanskrit ?
please answer to me.
Ans: In tamil letters you will not find these words at all. These are words created to accompany sanskrit pronunciation. Any tamil book will not have these letters. Tamil has 249 words and you will not find the words you mentioned in it. Where as malayalam has been open to sanskrit word.
@Malayalidravidan you are right, I thanked keralites you for saving tamizh language. Didnt you read that?
Yours and jaffna are similar because, Lankan tamizh never battled with Sanskrit/urdu. Where as all language in india including tamizh had to battle with either Sanskrit or Urdu(mugals).
Thats why modern Tamizh has lost some of its heritage. Yes proto dravidian language is more similar to present day Tamizh literature. If you see the linguistic tree Malayalam originated from Tamil–Kodagu.
brothers(indians), i got fed up with debating and commenting regionalists and racists.and outsiders(srilankan tamilans n Pakistanis).they have only one aim to divide us in the name of states.......As an Indian i will never say that i am a marati/gujarti/tamilan/meleyelee..... i am a Indian....instead whatever state i belong.... i will be proud to die as a Indian...if some one kills me in saying this...brothers we should unite together to quite the terrorists from our nation.
,i m from madyapradesh.i have studied supreme court verdict 2006. Article 162 of indian constitution says that state legislature can pass laws to make decision with in state.Supreme court ordered to raise the water level but...after verdict Kerala legislative Assembly passed "a dam safety act " to maintain the water level.its a constitutional right of a state to decide things with in state. only parliament can overrule the states and cancel any law . hope for solution lies in central govt
bro, i m from madyapradesh..1886 DAM WAS LEASED/RENT TO BRTISH FOR 999 YEARS. BY MAHARAJA OF TRAVANCORE ( WIKI) FOR IRRIGATION PURPOSES IN periyar. 3.IN 1947 AUGUST 15 INDIA GOT INDEPENDENCE AFTER 1956 JANUARY 26 CONSTITUTION OF INDIA CAME INTO BEING P4. constitutional agreements between princely States was barred under Article 131 of the Constitution. THEREFORE contract with British is invalid as per constitution. as we live in India we should respect the constitution as Indians
Malayalam not derived from tamil but from proto dravidan language.but we have major similarities with yalpannam(jaffna) tamil not indian tamil.we are still using old dravidan words but not using in present indian tamil.malayalam and jaffna accent are same.in old language 'vellam' means water but you are using 'thanni' and also patti -naayi,kali-vilayathu,sauvkariyam-vasathi,ahamgaram-thimiru and many more.modern tamil lost its old heritage..
brothers(indians), i got fed up with debating and commenting regionalists and racists.and outsiders(srilankan tamilans n Pakistanis).they have only one aim to divide us in the name of states.......As an Indian i will never say that i am a marati/gujarti/tamilan/meleyelee..... i am a Indian....instead whatever state i belong.... i will be proud to die as a Indian...if some one kills me in saying this...brothers we should unite together to quite the terrorists from our nation.
brothers, i am from madyapradesh, Central intelligence report says that LTTE and other racist parties and groups is going to involve and spread violence between states...people who think as Indian should not try to spread violence and create threat to our national security and unity....we should not follow any political drama and react withe emotion i can only request...as an Indian...we should think of our mother country...and think as a Indian instead of supporting regionalism and racism
hw many times i have written about constitutional rules..of india.its not just rules of a state its applicable whole country, .before independence there were small states... like tranvancore,madras,cochin,hyderbad..etc...its nonsense that any contract done by a king to british...is valid till now....its unconstitutional ....tamilnadu and kerala are states under central govt of india..if any state thatis indepenedent & its not under. central govt.then constitution of india is not applicable
Sir,you are telling that malayalam borrowed many sanskrit words and tamil not.is ஸ்ரீ,ஜ,ஷ,ஸ,ஹ,க்ஷ these letters are original tamil or borrowed from sanskrit ?

Yashika592 one hour back say I am frm mp I am frm mp aim frm mp mp mp . Boss we are talking water frm Pakistan. We are talking water frm India and giving to India and more people frm gods own kntry in tn using this advantage and in the whole world only in tn people frm gods own kntry get on onams state holiday. Why this mp Indian is so disturbed.
@elango3d you are saying that you are not a Indian?Pakistani or srilankan? OK...so...do not bother about Indians...OUR brothers have little misunderstanding created by politicians and n aided by terrorists n racists..we are trying to make peace in our country...so...stay way from us..you have no right to say any word as you are not Indian
Sir please love mp first than talk about gods own kntry. First u be faith ful to mp than talk about lawww. Again I am telling be faithful to the state where you are eating ur food now. Thant talk about gods own kntry miss r mr yashika599992
@elango3d I didnt support any side... I can understand your concern about..your state as you have scarcity of water ..i said to come up with good law points and scientific instead of reacting emotionally in the name of states beside of our MOTHER COUNTRY. first i am an indian there after that whatever i am ..i am proud that i am a indian...how can u call your brothers as marati indian or tamil indian or gujarti indian or melyelee indian..there is only INDIAN....No adding regionalism

Kerala enacted the Kerla Irrigation and Water Conservation (Amendment) act 2006 to ensure safety of all 'endangered' dams in the State, Second schedule of Act. Section 62A of the Act provides for listing in the schedule, "details of the dams which are endangered on account of their age, degeneration, degradation, structural or other impediments as are specified".The second schedule to the Act lists Mullaperiyar (dam) constructed in 1895 & fixes 136 feet as its maximum water level.

@Malayalidravidan you will never get the sounds because they are african tribal sounds and not our native sounds so we never thought about those sounds while our languages were evolving in india so no indian languages' letters have sounds to pronounce those words/Names.

@yashika592 I understand your view point.
NEUTRAL68 1 month ago
@NEUTRAL68 i have checked its 1970....After several failed attempts to renew the agreement in 1958, 1960, and 1969, the agreement was renewed in 1970 when Achutha Menon was Kerala Cm. Tamil Nadu uses the water and the land of kerala, and the Tamil Nadu government has been paying to the Kerala government if the dam and land is leased/rent how can it be ownership? i think tamilnadu govt should be thankful to kerala for giving water for past 50 years. 999years? i dont see any record?
yashika592 1 month ago
@NEUTRAL68 what s the meaning of lease? it means rent? or sold?paying rent can claim a house or land??if so i own a lodge here.if one day my customer who pays rent claims my lodge..should i leave? i can only say not to fight as water sharing is not the problem.i don't understand for what is this dispute? kerala govt and tamilnadu govt should continue agreement to share water and come to terms in talk n discussion.. as for welfare and unity of India. no more violence and threatening each other

you are saying 999 years of DAM life. Which is a fallacy and there is no logic.
Your chief minister says the same false information. Please read my earlier comment properly.
Reiterating the FACT again: The land surrounding the DAM which is kerala is leased for 999 not the DAM for 999 Years.
Land is leased and it does not mention the no of years the DAM is leased.

NEUTRAL68 1 month ago
@Malayalidravidan you are right, I thanked keralites you for saving tamizh language. Didnt you read that?
Yours and jaffna are similar because, Lankan tamizh never battled with Sanskrit/urdu. Where as all language in india including tamizh had to battle with either Sanskrit or Urdu(mugals).
Thats why modern Tamizh has lost some of its heritage. Yes proto dravidian language is more similar to present day Tamizh literature. If you see the linguistic tree Malayalam originated from Tamil–Kodagu.
