Im writing this because you kids clearly have the talent in you, where most do not. This style of music can't go anywhere in that you use your lows and breakdowns as a crutch, stopping any development of an interesting melody or riff that appears. I'm not against breakdowns but they should be used sparingly as a device of intensity, not filler material.

You have so many cool ideas in here, but they need to be fleshed out more. Do this and you can escape the doomed metalcore scene.

I listened to several more of their songs and they're way different from this and Veil of Maya definitely is not a generic band at all. Listen to Mowgli, Dark Passenger or We Bow In It's Aura. Mark Okubo has an incredible sense of rhythm and can also be melodic. They're known for their groove
