  • I weirdly enjoyed this race.

  • Found this race hilarious and being a Ferrari fan it was nice getting a one two so easily, but I do feel sorry for the people who bought tickets and traveled a long way to see this.

  • isnt that mark crompton from the V8 supercars series? i love watching that series from the UK

  • anyone else think it woulda been funny if the ferraris took each other out and Monterio won the race?

  • FIA = ferrari international assistance

  • What did Renault team say Alonso at 2:01 ?? Could anyone answer me please?? :)

  • @eduds6

  • hmmm, this was still the only race in the last 6yrs, that the two hours felt like 10 mins.

  • shame, i'd never actually seen this before. obviously i'd heard about it lot. this is probably some of the reason we have a sole tyre supplier now. i'd love to see kumho, bridgestone, hankook, dunlop, michelin, goodyear etc. in f1 (or in some cases, back in f1), but we can't.

  • The commentator must have been really bored throughout the race.

  • Sorry but I found this big chunk of controversy hugely fun to watch... When everyone was bagging it all out I thought it made great TV.

  • Second time in succession Alonso retired from the U.S. Grand Prix. :/

  • Michael should be not so much demonized and criticized for that. If you consider, for example, that his 94 title was unfair, you cant simply ignore the rest of his career.. I Mean,he showed such great skills helping Ferrari in feedback and development,he was,you know,so fast, acheiving very good laps, going to the pit and still securing his lead after all,he had(Or maybe still has) great overtaking skills... Maybe one of the best ever,if not the best. What i want to tell you,is that,he may be not a..

  • Senna or Gilles Villenueve would have gone racing.

  • It's exactly what Martin says. It's not just Michellin to blame, but also the 6 teams, that have decided to race anyway.

  • ferrari had alot to do with it .. cunts

  • @shitmacher not really.. :L

  • @techyapplemanHD just ignore this guys comment hes just a schumacher hater troll, and yes you are correct ferrari had no infulence in the decision, it was the resurfaced track and the turn 13 tyre failure for michelin which caused it

  • a dark day for f1 again ..

  • this day killed gp racing in the us, f1 should be ashamed

  • Why are the drivers still sitting in the cockpit? I would leave and go home.

  • What I don't understand is as to why they couldn't agree to have everyone use the Bridgestone tyres because they were more reliable at that time.

  • @MrRandom287 Probably due to existing contracts with the teams and lack of supplies (In 2005 teams were to run the entire race on one set of tires and had scarce reserves) Also the tire shapes were slightly different (Bridgestones were more rounded) and I assume that it would be a more complex issue than the Michelin teams just simply putting Bridgestones on (Aerodynamics, set up, etc.) The second one is purely speculation though

  • @MrRandom287 More reliable ?? Yeah i guess thats why only 3 teams where using them!

  • The Pre race build up on ITV was exciting because we didn't know what was going to happen right up until the end of the formation lap. DC's radio message gave us a slight hope there was going to be a race, soon as they pulled in, it was a black day for F1. How the hell the FIA / Bridgestone / Michelin couldn't come to an agreement was shocking! F1's already poor reputation in the USA was tarnished even more.

  • 2004年のオーストリアのフェラーリのチームオーダー、

    2008年シンガポールの八百長グランプリに次ぐ、現代F1GPの3大茶番レースの一つ。

  • ミシェランタイヤが大失態を演じた日。

  • I remember watching this in utter disbelief. A black day for F1.

  • Ironically about the only people to come out of this well were actually the teams that didn't start. Yes Michelin brought crap tyres, but this was pretty quickly realised, and every proposal which could have actually led to anything not either really dangerous or really boring happening was shot down in flames by Ferrari &/or Max Moseley acting like complete assholes, take out Jean Todt & Moseley & replace them with someone sensible that weekend this debacle probably never happens

  • @waltere779 No offense, I hated Mosley as much as anyone, but if a baseball team shows up to a game with brittle bats that break, or a hockey team shows up with dull skates to a game, I dont blame the commissioner for not making special exceptions. Michelin is completely at fault, no question, and they confirm the guilt themselves by refunding tickets for the next USGP.

  • @gfaffy How exactly is it Michelin's fault? They brought the same compound tyre they had brought the year before which had worked perfectly. What had happened between the last race here and this race, was the track officials at Indy in total breach of contract with the FIA had a machine that etched the track surface of the oval part of the Indy track making it more abrasive without informing the FIA. So the FIA didnt inform Michelin. But Bridgestone knew because of their parntership with Firestne

  • @Rommeljnr +1

  • @Rommeljnr Fair enough, I remember that being part of the discussion. While I don't doubt the Fire/Bridgestone link since they are ess. the same company, the tires couldn't be the same as the previous year since the 2005 regs eliminated tire changes. The easy solution would have been to run the race with tires changes, but I'd assume that 1)the risk of tire failure may have still been there and 2)since no tire changes were planned, supplies were most likely limited

  • @Rommeljnr It's a tough catch-22, i'll admit. The FIA has never been flexible really, so I immediately knew any mods were likely out of the question. Also, it would've cause a riff with Bridgestone if the race was modified or a non-point race was run since they're equipment worked properly. The way I see it, if it had been 3 Michelin teams against 7 Bridgestone teams, it would've been considered less of a disaster aside fromFerrari being absent...agree to disagree

  • @gfaffy How can you disagree? To host a F1 race part of the contract states you cannot modify track in any way without informing the FIA. The track officials at the INDY track did modify the track surface and didnt not inform the FIA so they didnt tell any of the teams or tyre suppliers. But Firestone had tested at the INDY track and being a parnter of Bridgestone , they where aware of the extra abrasiveness and brought a much harder compound tyre and Michelin where left to look at fault.

  • @gfaffy Now all that aside , as soon as they arrived at the track they became aware of the extra abrasiveness of the track and there was a meeting of all the drivers and team bosses. They had a vote on wether or not to put in a tyre barrier chicane on the oval part of the track where the tyre wear was occuring to slow speeds and tyre wear. Every driver except 1 and every team boss except 1 voted yes. Take a guess which driver and which team boss voted no?

  • @Rommeljnr Though Todt would have voted no (should his vote even had been considered, which it wasn't) even Paul Stoddart admitted no fault to Todt (check his commentary during the race here /watch?v=bY7IdWpqYXI. Also, the driver's vote was merely an opinion vote, which both Ferrari drivers (I assume you mean Schumacher) abstained. What professional driver would prefer this race? Ferrari were uncompetitive this year also and finished the season 3rd where they would've been regardless

  • @Rommeljnr I still hold that had it been 3 Michelin shod teams instead of 7, the situation would've been more of a hiccup than anything else and the race would've still been seen as entertaining. The tire wars shouldn't exist in the first place to begin with

  • @gfaffy There shouldnt have been a HICCUP at all. If the track officials at INDY hadnt breached their contract with the FIA this whole thing would have been avoided. Then in another display of what kind of character M Schumacher is , he voted no at the meeting along with Todt while both Rubens and the other 4 Bridgestone drivers and the 2 other team bosses of the Bridgestone team voted yes. Michelin did absolutely nothing wrong at all and got left by Ecclestone holding the bag of shit. FACT!

  • @Rommeljnr And further proof of how much more abrasive they made the track is backed up by what happened at the NASCAR race that was held at this track later that year. Was a series of 20 lap sprints before a full course yellow was waved for everyone to come in and change tyres for the whole race! They had to re-load the tyres that had been shipped to the next NASCAR race event onto to trucks and get them to the INDY track so all the teams would have enough tyres to run full race distance.

  • @Rommeljnr With the difference that NASCAR is a sport with costs in the millions and had a single tire supplier while F1 was sport with costs in billions. I'll say Indy definitely shares the blames with Michelin, but as much as I hate it, the FIA really had no other way to proceed. Loose tire barriers pose a threat in themselves and by placing it near or before that corner the main passing opportunity at the end of the long straight would've been eliminated, making it a boring race

  • @gfaffy Wrong again. They where going to put the temporary tyre wall barrier at the the beginging part of the straight section which lead onto the more abrasive section of the INDY oval track slowing speed onto the straight and ultimatley speed down the straight, would have not interfered with the ability of cars to overtake at all. You must be either (a) Schumacher fan (b) Bridgestone employee (c) INDY track official. MICHELIN didnt do a single damn thing wrong.

  • @gfaffy What the hell does the amount of what it costs to run a NASCAR team and F1 team have to do with their tyres and a track that had been made more abrasive? seriously! Michelin brought the same compound tyres they had the year before and which had worked perfectly and arrived at the INDY track for this race to find out, what was in total breach of contract the track surface had been made much more abrasive by the officials at the INDY track and failed to inform those that they should have.

  • @Rommeljnr Ok we're obviously going to disagree, but either way Michelin had to bring newly developed harder tires for 2005 because of the new regulations that only allowed for one set to be used during the race, it would've been impossible to run any race in 2005 with 2004 softer compound tires

  • @Rommeljnr Stoddart's (Minardi) account of the incident says both Ferrari driver's abstained from a vote and though the story of Todt voting 'no' was corroborated, it didn't really affect the final decision. I feel bad for whoever went to this (though they were part of a bizarre piece of history), but ultimately this terrible event ended costly tire wars, saving F1teams money, ended the race at Indy, which was a boring track, and set in motion a campaign for a purpose built track (Austin)

  • @Rommeljnr It's up to Michelin to do their track research. They were blamed even by their own teams. And then those Michelin teams tried to blackmail the Bridgestone runners into accepting their chicane when they could easily have run through the pitlane every lap instead.

  • @gp4nut They already had and knew what compound to take to the US race , Between then and this race the INDY track officials had IN TOTAL BREACH of contract changed the abrasiveness of the damn track.

  • @Rommeljnr

Why did you related Schumacher fans in one of your comments? Man,he is not a devil,a cheater or the most hated man in the world,at the same way that his fans are not a big allienated group or a bunch of dumbasses. He simply didnt had anything about it!

  • @eduds6 Really! I was watching the 1994 Adelaide GP . i saw what he did! Going off track, side swiping the wall, realised his car was stuffed and that there was now no way to prevent Damon HIll passing him and winning the race and the World Chanpionship.

You can see Schumacher from the footage, with his head clearly turned to the right looking in his right side mirror looking for Damon Williams. Stayed over to provide a gap for Damon to go through and then drove into him. Cheating lowlife.

  • @Rommeljnr

FIA Clearly robbed him at that year man, just look at the Penalties Schumacher had at that time! Every team was cheating at that year, and within Senna's Death at Imola (Which i consider one of the best drivers ever),they tried to favour a British guy for the win (Not to mention their desire to keep that season competitive,as Hill was not capable of stopping Schumacher). So,embarassed and furious by such a pressure from FIA,Schumacher tried to throw Hill off... (Continue)

  • @Rommeljnr

And put a retaliation to the british marshalls of that time. FIA,Seeing that they could not hold that manipulation and staging for much time,as the fans were also disgusted, gave him the title. Schumacher is one of the most punished drivers of the history of Formula one, sometimes rightfully, but at the most cases by Cheating from FIA,that didnt liked his total superiority.

  • @eduds6 So what was his excuse for parking his car against the armco in Monaco at the end of qualifying knowing Alesi was on a hot lap and was faster than him at the first sector. Too many very unsportsmanlike moments from Schumacher continually throughout his career. Him being the only driver to vote no for the temporay chicane at this race when even the other 5 bridgestone runners voted yes including his teamate voted yes, which would have prevented this race being the farce it was for another

  • @Rommeljnr

First at all, thanks for replying,i already can see that you have arguments when you criticize, and im happy for that. i have obviously other point of view,Schumacher is not the only driver that had controversial moments in his career. If you analize it,Senna had some bad attitudes (Such as crashing into Prost at 89,and blocking cars in qualify in 85),Alonso also had some scandals, you know, every driver has at least a bad attitude in his carrer. But what i think is that...

  • @Rommeljnr

Saint, but he is not responsible from every problem in the planet earth as some try to label him. Drivers have their controversial and bad moments in their career,at the same time that they have unforgettable and amazing moments, great performances... You even maybe may not like him so much, and consider him a unfair sportsman,at every sense, but even with all of that, you still cant tell that he is a farse (Like some say, obvioulsly not mentioning you)

    Peace.

  • @eduds6 You must have misunderstood my last post .. Didnt say he was a farce .. this race became 1 because of his refusal to vote in favour of the temporary chicane for this race.. which is prety damn unsportmanlike.

Main point i am trying to make is , just because someone is great at a sport and Schumacher was damn quick ... it doesnt make him a nice person.

  • @Rommeljnr

You know, being a nice person is about many values, who knows if Michael is just so much competitive/Agressive at track, but a nice person at the paddock/daily life? And let me say,ive never listened that Schumi was the only driver to refuse that chicane, acoording to what i have heard back in that incident,is that only Jordan and Minardi accepted the chicane, but Ferrari at itself (both Drivers, and the heads of the team themselfs) refused. We can clearly be wrong, although.

  • @eduds6 There was a meeting of all the drivers and team bosses on the friday morning when the problem about the track abrasiveness became apparent. All the drivers and team bosses had to vote in favour of a temporary chicane to slow entry speed onto the oval part of the track( the part that had been made more abrasive). this would have solved the tyre wear problem on the rear left tyre for the Michelin runners. EVERY driver but Schumacher voted yes and EVERY team boss except Todt voted yes.

  • @Rommeljnr Schumacher and Todt didn't vote yes because they abstained from the vote. Abstaining is not the same as voting 'no.' You can blame Michelin for not bringing the correct tires, you can blame Bridgestone for not informing teams of their knowledge through Firestone (if that is true), but this incident is no fault of the FIA or Ferrari. The two options all along were to either run the race with the 6 cars that could run or not run the race at all.

  • @Rommeljnr The only reason Jordan/Minardi (the two other Bridgestones) voted in favor of running the race is because it was in their best interest. The 2 teams were vastly uncompetitive compared to the other teams. With teams that are unable to score points, their constructors standings is determined by best nonpoint results. But, since this was a 6car race and neither team was scoring more points that year, the entire constructors race for those two teams was decided with this race

  • @gfaffy You need to learn how to read. The vote was on wether or not to put a temporary chicane on the track to stop the tyre wear problem. To which both Jordan/Minardi team bosses and drivers voted yes to, and if Schumacher and Todt had voted yes the race would have a been a full field of cars.

  • @Rommeljnr Clearly you're the one that's illiterate considering you keep saying the same things without responding to anything. Jordan/Minardi voted YES because it was IN THEIR INTEREST to. Essentially, Jordan gaining more points in this race meant the rest of the season was moot point for Minardi. Constructors bonuses from the FIA are based on final standings, and since Jordan and Minardi were so uncompetitive, the points from this race alone decided their standings. The remaining...

  • @Rommeljnr races were pointless for these two since their 9th and 10th places were decided. ALSO, the vote to put a chicane, while allowing the 7 michelin runners to race, would be a disadvantage for Bridgestone runners who had brought suitable equipment. Also, from a fan standpoint, the chicane would've slowed the cars down along the oval portion of the track, eliminating the only opportunity drivers had to set up a pass at the Indy track. The race would've been nothing but a parade

  • @gfaffy Which again is pointed out by your comment about the chicane affecting overtaking opportunity's. The only thing it would have done is slowed entry speed onto the oval part of the track onto the straight. If a car following was close enough no matter what bloody speed they are travelling at the will still get the benefit of the draft and still be able to pull out to overtake at the end of the straight. No ones ever been overtaken at a slow speed corner before in F1? get a clue.

  • @Rommeljnr If passing was easy, then the cars would look exactly the same today as they did in the early 2000s. Instead, the have the stupid DRS, KERS and generally look terrible now just to get rid of aerodynamics to make passing more common. In any case, I'm so glad they left Indy even though I'm currently in the states. Terrible race track, would much prefer to see a race back in Adelaide

  • @Rommeljnr Sorry, you're either a new-ish fan to F1, hate Ferrari & Schumacher, or are a Michelin employee. I used to back Ferrari but now I'm generally just a fan of the sport, so I don't favor what Ferrari did or didn't do, but I know they abstained and ultimately it was the FIA's decision to run the race as is

  • @gfaffy Watching F1 since the 80's, from Adelaide where the use to be a F1 race before it moved to Melbourne. Was there in 94 to see the underhanded way Schumacher took out Hill along with all the other things he has done throughout his career as i have mentioned in previous comments, so yeah i think the guy is a dick as are most of the people i have meet who are Schumacher fans. Which also seems to go hand in hand with them knowing bugger all about F1.

  • @Rommeljnr And the Indy track, you could blame them too for resurfacing

  • @Rommeljnr

But personally,i think that Bridgestone was responsible for this incident. They had news that the track was somewhat dangerous for Michelin, but remained quiet, thanks to their rivalry with them. Sadly, that crippled the whole race, and gave a huge hit to formula one Popularity in United States. I Really hope that the new GP In Austin attract fans to F1 Again, but i will always miss Indy, that is one of the most inspiring and historical tracks to motorsport...

  • Michelin was totally at fault for this. You would think that, considering this track being on the schedule, they would have the right tire for Indy. Amazed though that some small team trying to scrape points by didn't say "screw you Michelin", and try to make the start.

  • Comment removed

  • What happened to other drivers???

  • @kleanthisky Michelin tyre issue.

  • I'm an American and I love formula 1 and this was just stupid but I can say I would rather see one F1 car race its self than watch afull fledged nascar race

  • ANyone have any idea what senna would've done if he was there?

  • 500,000 witnessed JV's '95 Indy 500 triumph, James? Wikipedia estimates 250,000.

  • this has to rival the fiasco at kentucky this year as the worst failures by motorsports management

  • Also, why were the fans throwing stuff onto the track? If a driver had been struck by something thrown by a fan at high speed, it could've been fatal.

  • @andrewlawrence2209 I doubt it, Massa got hit by Barrichelo's suspension spring which weighed around 5 pounds, they were both going at about 150mph, Massa was severely injured but it it didn't kill him; the fans would of had to of been lobbing clay pots and fold-up chairs to have a slight chance of injuring a driver lol

  • If only Schumacher and Barrichello collided.

  • @andrewlawrence2209 They almost did when Schumacher came out of the pitlane ...

  • the death of F1 in america. host an unknown event on their most famous track and then have a no contest involving 6 cars (where the only decent one gets a headstart too!) and charge people $200 a time! only race i never bothered to watch. all that was wrong with the sport there and then. watch the arrogance of Ecclestone on the grid before the race. not really michellin's fault, but could and should have been averted. race shouldn't have been counted for championship either....

  • @mercsmania

well tbh $200 is barely anything. At the time it was not even worth 100 quid, so can't really say the fans lost something major there, apart from a big spectacle which they were there to experience :P..At least they got their tickets refunded.

  • @aussiumo they had a whole weekend wasted and it pretty much wiped out the sport in the US for a few years. just showed how dumb F1 is to the whole world...ironically in a place they spent so long trying to promote it. class!

  • Funny to have only 6 cars racing because of Michelin/Bridgestone tyre situation.

  • F1 didn't just shot itself in the foot that day, it shot off it legs. No wonder americans don't care for F1.

  • the race was absolutely shat!!

  • Amazing the amount of people posting comments about Michelin being the ones at fault and to blame ... clearly clueless people who dont know the real reasons for the this farce.

  • FUCKING EXCITING! :D

  • "You're going to have to sing a song for two hours" In an Ozzie accent, nothing funnier.

  • Good riddance, michelin! F1 does NOT want to see you again.

  • It still could've been a great race if Barrichello and Schumacher collided.

  • Remember this happened 3 years after Schumacher slowed on the line to try and "fake" a photo finish, accidentally giving the win to Barrichello by 0.011 seconds. IT's no wonder Americans lost interest in F1. We'll have to see if the new US GP track is any better next year.

  • @astral365 That's tracks these days.

  • michelin gave the good name of formula 1 a joke, what donkeys!

  • michelin turned f1 into a joke. at least they were gone by the end of the next season

  • I remember watching this :)

  • I don't see why they didn't allow tire changes for the michelin cars.

  • @NickAW1 those cars were under contract with michelin only the 6 used bridgestone, its not like now with only 1 make pirelli for everyone.

why didnt the other cars race and go through the pits every lap?

  • @NUFC4LIFE001 That would probably have been dangerous simply because they would be driving incredibly close to all the fuel.

  • @NickAW1 i dont mean race in the pits would have to drive the pit limiter speed, the 6 cars (ferrari, jordan, minadi) would still come 1st-6th but would of made a better race

  • Worst GP ever in F1, in 50 years.

  • I couldn't believe this was happening. I changed the channel in shame. It was the biggest embarrassment for F1 in a long time.

  • ive had a read through some comments but i have no idea why there are six cars on the track, is it something to do with the tyres? can someone tell me please

  • @RavingMonkeyMadmen In 2005 two companies supplied tyres in F1; Bridgestone and Michelin. Only 3 teams used Bridgestone; Ferrari, Minardi and Jordan. The Michelin tyres wore out so fast that they were deemed unsafe. In 2005 also, unlike today, no tyre changes were allowed during pit stops.

  • @year2000problem cheers

  • @RavingMonkeyMadmen :) you're welcome.

  • @year2000problem It was a stuoid rule no tyre changes!

  • @ShadowFenrir2 it was, I don't even know why they made that rule.

  • If I drove for a Michelin shod team, I'dve been like "fuck you guys, I'm racing in my home country!"

  • Go to 3:10 for ITV commentary

  • Ohh, I didn't watch this race, but it was bored, just 6 cars in the circuit. Well, I have a good justification to like this race result: I'm portuguese, and Monteiro finished in the podio =P

  • Ohh, I didn't watch this race, but it was bored, just 6 cars in the circuit. Well, I have a good justification to like this race result: I'm portuguese, and Monteiro finished in the podio =P

  • i remember shouting BULLSHIT BULLSHIT

  • I dont get it y only couple cars start

  • @TheOutlawLangdon bridgestone or michillin produced shit tyres and most of the teams departed from the race because they thought that the tyres were going to burst at 200mph

  • this just proved, if it really needed to be, that formula one like any top sport is money, money and more money

  • love how DC don't give a shit, he just wants to race XD

  • @18carNASCAR & NASCAR isn't?

  • @SebbyHaughtonf1

In some ways, NASCAR is a joke, but compared to Bernie, the Frances and crew are saints with how they run things.

  • Michelin I suppose are parrtially to blame for producing inadequate tyres, but the FIA are more to blame by far for failing to accomodate Michelin or indeed the Michelin teams, and of course preferred to side with Ferrari, who knew - and were quite happen to accept - that they'd get an easy 1-2 and 18 points.

  • Worst race in the history of the sport of automobile racing, full stop.

  • This was gonna be my first F1 race...glad i didnt go

  • @DesotellRacing62 This was my first and so far only F1 race. Not a good moment in history at all, but hey I could say I was there when the great debacle happened.

  • @Icosiol lol i guess so...hope the Austin race doesnt ever have a race like this

  • Tiago Monteiro's only career podium lol

  • @darksilver2820 watching him celebrate at the end of that race was hilarious :P

  • @darksilver2820 Mindai's first Double points finish

  • @darksilver2820 Also the only podium with a Portuguese driver

  • @darksilver2820

only? you blind? if you dont no dont talk

  • @dankeike Only podium in F1 you mong...

  • @blainyrules

lol stfu he said career and career is not only f1 you mong...

  • @dankeike Use a bit of common sense, this is a Formula 1 video so obviously by career it meant F1 career.

  • @blainyrules

    common sense? plz stfu

  • @dankeike By saying that you're implying you're retarded.

  • Comment removed

  • @blainyrules

Career is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as a person's "course or progress through life"

this is common sense now stfu

I will not answer more ignorant

  • @dankeike Well at least learn to spell you illiterate fuck.

  • Nice one DC... a true racer, that's why i like him... he wanted to race... they should have let him race.

  • Those fucking poor people who paid all that money to watch SIX cars go round for and hour and a half. :/ One of the most embarrassing moments in motorsport history.

  • If you're the TV commentator, how the hell do you call a race that is 73 laps long, when there are only six cars, only two of them being competitive. They must have been going insane trying to find interesting things to mention. The speedway had it bad enough, but for good measure, NASCAR had a similar fiasco in 2008. In both situations, the track surface played a role, so it must take some of the blame.

  • Michelin guilty, not F1.

  • @PIEDEDIPIOMB0 Well that comment demonstrates that who havent got the first clue what your talking about.

  • @Rommeljnr Obsviouly part of responsability goes to all F1 management. Bho, poi non ho capito punto un cazzo di quello che hai scritto, non che me ne inculi qualcosa.... Se sei italiano ho appena fatto un figurone di merda biblico! ^_^

  • @PIEDEDIPIOMB0 Fact : this whole situation could have been avoided with the drivers/team bosses meeting on friday morning to put in a chicane to slow cornering speed throught the altered more abrasive track section. Everyone including Eddie Jordan the 2 Jordan drivers , Paul Stoddart and the 2 Minardi drivers and Rubens from Ferrari voted yes ........ That german fuckwit M Cocksmoker and that fat little turd J Todt voted no...... SO IT IS CLEAR TO ME WHO IS TO BLAME.

  • the michlain runners could of run they just would of been slower I think its was the banking that the tires had a problem with

  • I'm surprised Allen and Brundle found stuff to talk about for an hour and a half!

  • @domtv3 david coulthard and martin brundle did brilliantly durinf the canadian gp red flag race earlier this year.

  • @danthearsenalfan at least with the canadian race it ended up being one of the most exciting races in the last few years. (PS i'm a gooner too!)

  • I just remember sitting at home laughing my head off at the ridiculousness of it all.

  • /watch?v=bY7IdWpqYXI&feature=related

    The Stoddart interview I mentioned.

  • I remember Eddie Jordan and Paul Stoddart saying during the race that they'd agreed to the Michelin plans and only ran their cars as well to stop it being a 2-car grid.

  • Comment removed

  • @SheldonKawonga I think it was something to do with the tires. I dunno

  • Todt & Schumacher were so desperate to win so they fucked the american crowd & TV audience, I remember a few years before they attempted a "tie" which, fucked the american crowd & TV audience....

...then he gets elected FIA president...Ferrari Internation Assistance

  • wow cool race

  • I support Ferrari but at the time I didn't care at all. I so wanted schumi to win his first race. To befair Ferrari had a crap season

  • Amazing race!

  • humiliating but if you think about it how lucky were alot of the people who went there they got a refund so basically it was free for all of them dissapointing but free, if i could go to see any f1 race even if it was a 6 car race for fre i would be pretty damn happy!

  • Can someone please tell me why only 6 cars started

  • @SheldonKawonga Long story short: Michelin provided tyres that failed in turn 13 (the last, banked turn onto the homestretch), so all teams using those tyres pulled out of the race due to safety reasons. This led to only 3 teams and 6 drivers, using Bridgestone tyres, to start the race.

  • @Solar424 Your description of the reason for this couldnt be more inaccurate. Did they have a an F1 race at this track the year before? YES. And the winner of that race was on what tyres ? MICHELIN. The reason for the Michelin tyre failures was between the last race and this one they had made the track on the oval part of the circuit more abrasive and didnt tell anyone. Michelin brought the same compund tyres they had the year before not knowing about the changed track abrasivness.
