Use a tripod. It's all shaky. Other than that it's not bad. Make sure you properly clean the cels and overlap them EXACT. Other wise you get weird blotches.
@SaikuyaHikari I first drew a sequence of movement on the A4 model sheet. After that, I put each plastic transparent sheet on each model sheet to trace the drawn line on the plastic sheet using ink pen. Then paint the plastic sheet, but u should paint each of them behind the plastic sheet, so that it won't covered the black ink. Place the painted plastic sheet on the background and take a foto, then do the same with the other.
@randomstuff6791 If you buy transparent plastic sheets, the brand would be STAPLES - transparency film. For the acrylic paints, it would be Americana or Anita's.
@Perryshotter well, actually I used normal transparent sheets as cels, coz real cel r very expensive I believe, so I went to a stationary shop to buy a whole pack. And the camera I used a tripod!
But this ver.2 animation is a bit rough coz my camera shakes on the tripod while i was taking fotos.
@Perryshotter I coloured each cels traditionally using paint. Basically, the colours should paint behind the cels not in front, like i did mistakenly. Nowadays, most hand-drawn don't use cel painting. They were digitally colourised on computer, my upcoming hand-drawn animation project I'm doing now will going to be digitally coloured.
Well, actually I was trying to do in an old fashion way, were people did before computers took over. But last moth, I tried to digitally colour the hand-drawn model sheet character then superimposed into CGI background, like 2days traditional animation.
Actually I used a digital camera, but the animation software that I used was Macromedia Flash 8, which makes the video blurr when export from the software!
What do you use to color the cells? What type of paints etc.

@Yanamation where can you get the plastic sheets?
randomstuff6791 4 months ago
@randomstuff6791 You can get them in the stationary shop, they're normal A4 size plastic sheets for projectors.

@Yanamation sorry, can you be more specific please? Something like Michaels, or any brand???

Cool, but where did you get the cels? And what did you have your camera on? A tripod helps a lot.

@Yanamation Sweet, but did the cels you used can you print them in color, or do you have to color them and what are they exactly called?

@Perryshotter Yes, tripods do help, but for a non-shaky animation with constant light conditions, a scanner is best! ;)

@moleman226 I'm using scanner for my upcoming hand-drawn animation instead of camera. Gonna cum out soon!

You should set up a station to where your camera is stationary, so it all doesn't move.

DeJayPlp 2 years ago
No! I drew and paint the character's each movement in seperate plastic sheets without cutting!
