BONUS means literaly "recompensation for doïng something good for the company". Now when one is responsable for the companies failure i don't see how that can justify a bonus although a just recompensation can be thought about such as hanging, drowning, burning, etc. ... meanwhile the evil will be scared off for somewhile.

When asked if he was concerned that many of his views will lead to his own party trying to run another candidate against him in 2010, he replied he does not care, his focus is on representing his constituents, nothing else. Hey Mark, It was a rather meaningless speech considering he was a State Senator at the time. He had no real political skin in the game at the time. Calling the bill a "tax increase" is a clever way for Congress to disguise the fact that this is a bill of attainder.

It is a bill that applies to only a handful of specific persons, and punishes them for receiving bonuses that they were legally entitled to long before Congress passed the stimulus package.
