Jim. We were with the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society, a Rockhound Club, searching for fossils and minerals. At the end of the video you can see some of the cool things I found. Because we are all guests of the working pit; we had to wear the appropriate safety gear; so the only "workers" were the ones in the front loader and dump truck in this video.
Clarity is great. I can't believe they let you walk around that place while the work is going on. What were those other workers doing all over the rubble pile? Now I understand what "Portland" cement means.
i go there all the time. got some HUGE calcite crystals. and fist size balls. gota sneak in ^_~
