Yes, keep promoting and honoring and praising criminals in the black community and further holding your people down by reverse racism. It's time for a true emancipation in the black community. Start with rap and other forms of sexual music. Black people are still slaves. It's time to be free.
Little fact about James Brown....he was friends with Elvis Presley and would pay tribute to Elvis Presley by attending his wake and funeral. I only bring it up because it appears to me that there is a cultural divide between white and black America. Yet, those two heros of the two cultures were in fact friends who admired one another. I still don't understand why the divide.
Move over Michael Jackson. This "cat" was a naturaldancer and singer. I saw him in approximately 1965 at the Howard
Theater in Washington, D.C.
When I was in dance contests in the DC area, I used to imitate his dance step where I lifted my foot and slid across the floor. Back then they clubs had real live bands.
Shaun, thanks for your brilliant work on the godfather of Rock and Roll. Please, please, please . . . as he used to sing.
this is kid capri, i been a fan of james since i was old enough to understand, hes been a major influence on me, when i did the b.e.t. awards with him in 2003, i hugged him but couldnt find the words to say to him, i was that honored, rev al sharpton excorted me to james casket, ,the man that put this video and verse together is a real talent and really understands what james was all about, i'm very impressed playboy.
I love this tribute. Once saw JB in the early 80's when he wasn't getting gigs perform on the actual Bar of Kenny's Castaways's in NYC. Packed...people out the door. Last time I saw James Brown was at the Del Mar Fair in 2003 - with a full brass band. JB still moved around the stage with grace, played drums & at the age of 70 something had a high energy band and performance. Of all the live singing performances I've ever seen - he was the best EVER!!! The next was Tina Turner.
AWESOME!!! Your knowledge & respect for the history of music makes you the real deal. You're intelligent AND talented! You know, you always have something real to say & I respect that. The creative ways you present your ideas are brilliant, whether you are doing your own shit, or telling the story of James Brown it always comes out amazing. Alot of young rappers could learn from you Shaun, as always I am impressed. Great job!

Even before hearing it said in this Biography I had realized that James Brown is, possibly, the most influential person in the history of music.
