I couldn't give two shits what his personal preferences are...his insight into historical events and the comical spin he puts on them is pure brilliance.
@machado231097 Ah, the classic argument that people who have lost like to revert to. "Do your own research, I'm going to keep talking out my ass without proof!"
Better things to do like maybe practice some grammar? Your grasp of English is atrocious.
And I like how you assume that I'm a theist just because I called you out. I am a theist, but your assumptions make me laugh.
@MastaKadaj Actually, there are very few civilizations that didn't worship ANY deity. I can't even think of any off-hand, so while we are on the topic of people pulling things out of their ass, you are doing it right now. And I agree with the sentiment that killing in the name of god has led to more deaths than a lot of other reasons. You can't truly justify killing for land or money, but I can open the bible, koran, etc, and find plenty of rationalizations for killing people who disagree.
@MrY0ufail "so while we are on the topic of people pulling things out of their ass, you are doing it right now" Why? Because you can't think of one country off the top of your head that didn't? Because instead of actually researching to see if you were right, decided to say I was incorrect? Thought so.
"And I agree with the sentiment that killing in the name of god has led to more deaths " You're only thinking of instances in history with many deaths at once.
@MrY0ufail Perhaps you should consider the multitude of murders that happen every day, more often for reasons not regarding religion at all. Another thing you should consider is that the majority of people "killing in the name of God" are merely using God as a scapegoat for their actions. What you've said about the Bible, etc., I can attribute to newspapers or science fiction books. One can look in just about any location and find a reason to kill someone. Should those sources be outlawed?
@MastaKadaj You missed my point completely. I said you cannot truly justify killing for money, land, power, whatever, because they are just inherently greedy actions. However, I can open the Bible, what a lot of Christians teach as the "perfect word of god" and find multitudes of verses that tell me to kill adulterers, disobedient children, homosexuals, blasphemers, people who work on the sabbath, thieves, and the list goes on and on. HUGE difference to a newspaper reporting a murder.
@MrY0ufail Aye, you could do that. If you chose not to read the New Testament. But you're not an idiot, so you'd realise that your argument is flawed...right? What about Buddhism? That is pretty much the pinnacle of anti-violence. It's a religion, so does that make it bad and one of the causes of murder etc.? (Not so much your point as the other guys, but just for shiggles.)
It also seems you've glanced over my point that people who justify evil in the name of God, are using it as a scapegoat.
@MrY0ufail It's not that huge of a difference. The majority of the western world relies on news to give them information. If the news constantly described dogs as harbourers of disease and death, and that they should be exterminated, people would go out and kill more dogs.
@MastaKadaj I dont know what kind of version of Western world you live in and I dont want to give into stereotypes, but majority of Europeans can distinguish between news and pseudo-news. If a news program would start drawing a correlation between dogs and diseases, people would first very meticulously investigate such news, not believe it based on the source. They would try to verify it by many different means and sources. I know I do it, I know many do it!
@MastaKadaj so is it an example or an an analogy then? Cant be both. Analogy shows similarities between otherwise different things. You gave an example of a scenario - news reporting on the dogs being infection carriers - which I merely pointed out not being plausible in certain places.
@eleminatus Clearly it can be both. Like you said, I gave an example of a scenario, regardless of how absurd, that was similar, yet different to the original issue. By your definition, or at least the English standard, that qualifies as both. Though, I'm not sure why we're arguing the pedantics of hypotheticals.
Yes, I agree it's not plausible, but you're not really reading between the lines. Not everything is literal.
@MastaKadaj I understand what you are trying to say: since news is primary source of information of an everyday citizen, they are perceived as truth most of the time. So if a lie were to be squeezed in, people would still perceive it as truth. Thats what I disagree with. Granted, you cant check every little detail. But if something seems peculiar people tend to double check it. Thats why people laugh at Fox News so much!
@MastaKadaj I apologize if I took this scenario out of context, since it was originally in the conversation with a different person. I just had a problem with assertion you were making.
@eleminatus Unfortunately, news sources tend to slip little lies in here and there already, and people believe them. I was just enlarging that issue, but I do agree not everyone would take it as fact.
@machado231097 But I am curious what you consider the multitude of genocide instances in Africa and other parts of the world as. Clearly they aren't religious reasons, so what could they be? Oh, you'll just forget about them because it doesn't work for your argument? Yeah, that's what I thought.
@machado231097 You're imbecile. Hitler was a racist, the Crusaders wanted nothing but treasure and it's probable 9/11 was an inside job. Seems more like the actions of humans being humans rather than humans being religious. You're attempting to cover up the fact that humans are inherently evil with the fact that they blame their actions on religion. Just because they blame their actions on religion, doesn't make it the case. Think outside the fucking box, you blind bastard.
@machado231097 Ah, so what about drugs? Or insanity? Or racism? I'm pretty sure those are used as scapegoats. But I digress, you're the type of person who only concentrates on the negatives of any religion, and uses a small portion of the population as a justification for those criticisms.
@machado231097 People's true desires make people do evil things. You're blind if you think there are not any non-religious people that have done evil things.
@telebluesful XD Revolution? Jerry, this guy fuckin serious? XD Ah, ok man wow that was a good laugh. Thanks for that! Now back to your pisshole appartment and get drunk.
@arouska certainly not a gay fellow, he was making eyes at me when I got my autograph from him. transvestites are not the same as transexuals, there's a very big difference that not enough people care to notice the two are different things. You do have your straight and gay men who wear parts of women's clothing and that's not transexualism either, that's just a clothing preference, certain colors and fits aren't made for men or found in the mens section so guys go to the ladies section.
Eddie's dyslexia really comes through in his Stand up. His brain working at a million miles an hour and his mouth trying to catch up. Would anyone else call Eddie an inprov comic, he writes like he adlibs so you can't really tell which bits he's making up on the spot.
For anyone calling him a 'fag' he actually refers to himself as a male lesbian, as in he wears women's clothing and likes women. Also, he's awesome and hilarious. Get over it.
I've got no problem with people calling me gay. I don't consider it an insult - the only straight people who are offended by being called gay are those with severe doubts about their own sexuality - like you. I would advise you to come out to your family and friends; I'm sure they'll be supportive in the long run. Well, actually I'm not sure. Thinking about it they'll probably lynch you. Chin up though!
"there's a difference between faith and faggotry" - that's so deep.
Because when you supplicate yourself in front of your muscly, bare-chested statue of a hairy Jewish guy that's definitely just faith. And when you whisper about how he's your saviour and how you love him that's definitely not screamingly gay. Never mind 'take the body of Christ in your mouth' etc. Filth.
Speaking of 'fags', how exactly would you describe someone who's obsessed with a hairy man in sandals from 2000 years ago, references him in an adoring homoerotic fashion in his username and undoubtedly spends at least one day a week on his knees in front of a half-naked statue of the aforementioned hairy man, muttering under his breath about how much he loves him?
Theres a difference between faith and faggotry. Or do you just equate everything with something homosexual? Just goes to show how corrupted your atheist mindset is
@ChristyourSaviour Homosexuality is only mentioned in the bible 7 times. The most famous f which is Leviticus "...mankind shall not sleep with mankind as with woman.." what is funny is in that same chapter the consumption of shell fish is condemed. Been to Long Johns lateley? Have your opinions, but I really hope you r as passionate about liars, thieves, and people with tatoos. If not...its time for you to have a seat and be quiet.
Silly Lass, everyone knows Jesus was jewish. Did daddy just tell you that and now you think you're a bible scholar? Get back to me with some real debatable points or dont come back at all.
Nope, wrong again. I never pushed my beliefs on anyone. My opinion is that he was wrong, and he is. You are the one pushing your believes on me and replied with hate filled deception about Christianity. First berating me for "insulting" you than replying with insults of your own. Your ignorance to your own hypocrisy is very unsettling.
Why are you telling me your life story? You seem to care far too much about what I think of you. and you care far too much about what I believe. You should start living your life instead of telling others how to live theirs.
@ChristyourSaviour how's this for pushing my beliefs: fuck you, your religion and anything that has to do with you. i don't give a fuck about your opinions. go suck jesus's dick cause that's all your good for.
@ChristyourSaviour here's the funny part: I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK!!! so go suck your "saviour's" dick and kiss his ass too. christianity sucks balls and so do you.
That was a pretty bad ass rhyme you did there. *golf claps. You do care , otherwise you wouldn't be replying back to insure me you don't care. Also nice Caps locks yell....otherwise i wouldn't have known how to dramatize the sentence. Good stuff.
@ChristyourSaviour murder in the front row crowd begins to bang when there's blood upon the stage bang your head against the stage where metal takes it's place bonded by blood!
@NickyLess make up is heavy and uncomfortable and the only reason to wear it is to make yourself more attractive. Which in this case is a fail. Lipstick okay, yea I get that, but the rest just makes you look like a parody. Unless that's what he was going for?
@daymyth It may be heavy and uncomfortable for you but it's not for me and seeing as Eddie used to wear a lot of it, I'm guessing it wasn't for him either. Whatever his reasons, they are his. If he wants to wear make up, he can.
But Edward Vi (is that the right one?) introduced a faith along the lines of Calvinism popular in Geneva. Mary got rid of that, going back to Catholicism, and then Elizabeth went back to a halfway between Catholicism and Calvinist religion.
Henry didn't set up the Church of England exactly, you're right. But he definitely did set us along the way, and began the break with Catholicism
Strictly speaking Edward was raised with Catholic values at the core of his teaching, just seperate from Rome. His first protector, Somerset, favoured a more traditional doctrine that sucked up to the Holy Roman Empire without reasserting papal authority. His second protector, Northumberland, pushed and politicked and very nearly converted England to a more Lutheran/Zwinglian doctrine that was more extreme than anything before or since excepting Cromwell and the Puritans...
Ahh, Zwingli, not Calvin? I remember that Edward VI, when he died, had gone very much to the extremes of Protestantism, which Mary reversed, leaving Elizabeth to go back to a more liberal Protestantism than Edward had gone for, which also kept some elements of Catholicism.
In all honesty, religious history doesn't interest me that much, but I did do a project on it last year, so I have a very vague knowledge. Kudos, though, for giving an intelligent response and not simply resorting to abuse.
I really liked your video and your channel. If you need any help getting this video or channel exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. God Bless!

That was a pretty bad ass rhyme you did there. *golf claps. You do care , otherwise you wouldn't be replying back to insure me you don't care. Also nice Caps locks yell....otherwise i wouldn't have known how to dramatize the sentence. Good stuff.

@mhollandable In Europe, the 20th century is the 21st since we are in the 2000's it would only make sense to label it as the 20th century.

@supplican Wearing women's clothing I can understand, but why make up?
daymyth 1 year ago
@daymyth 'Cause it's pretty. ^n_n^
MultiFacets 1 year ago
@daymyth Why not? It's fully up to him what he wants to wear.
NickyLess 9 months ago
@NickyLess make up is heavy and uncomfortable and the only reason to wear it is to make yourself more attractive. Which in this case is a fail. Lipstick okay, yea I get that, but the rest just makes you look like a parody. Unless that's what he was going for?
daymyth 9 months ago
@daymyth It may be heavy and uncomfortable for you but it's not for me and seeing as Eddie used to wear a lot of it, I'm guessing it wasn't for him either. Whatever his reasons, they are his. If he wants to wear make up, he can.
NickyLess 9 months ago
@NickyLess never said he couldn't just said I couldn't understand why you would.
daymyth 9 months ago
@daymyth Well later on in his stand up years he gets breasts so I think he's just going for the whole female look.

He's wrong though. Henry VIII set up a church in england that was still catholic but without papal supremacy.
Elizabeth created an informal anglican faith with it only becoming that towards the end of her reign
britishhedgehog 2 years ago
But Edward Vi (is that the right one?) introduced a faith along the lines of Calvinism popular in Geneva. Mary got rid of that, going back to Catholicism, and then Elizabeth went back to a halfway between Catholicism and Calvinist religion.
Henry didn't set up the Church of England exactly, you're right. But he definitely did set us along the way, and began the break with Catholicism
gregtill 2 years ago
Strictly speaking Edward was raised with Catholic values at the core of his teaching, just seperate from Rome. His first protector, Somerset, favoured a more traditional doctrine that sucked up to the Holy Roman Empire without reasserting papal authority. His second protector, Northumberland, pushed and politicked and very nearly converted England to a more Lutheran/Zwinglian doctrine that was more extreme than anything before or since excepting Cromwell and the Puritans...
britishhedgehog 2 years ago
Ahh, Zwingli, not Calvin? I remember that Edward VI, when he died, had gone very much to the extremes of Protestantism, which Mary reversed, leaving Elizabeth to go back to a more liberal Protestantism than Edward had gone for, which also kept some elements of Catholicism.
In all honesty, religious history doesn't interest me that much, but I did do a project on it last year, so I have a very vague knowledge. Kudos, though, for giving an intelligent response and not simply resorting to abuse.

OMG for once he makes religion funny without completely making fun of it
