This is a great idea, and increased my knowledge of the strat. I really like the additional options made available, I'm a bit hesitant regarding routing the body but really like the easy access options capability. I'd like to have a couple preset options available (one or two switches on the pickguard) then I could switch to my favorite settings while playing - Very Cool -
Is it possible to set it up for say a blend-scenario and drill a hole for a mini-switch to turn on the series/parallel function so you didn't have to manually switch between the two functions?
@goldensleeves Leo Fender liked it because he thought you could get more bright from the treble strings the closer those magnets was to the bridge. Its the best of both worlds so to speak.
hey tim, at 3:25 in the video you show the back of the guitar. did you cut into the body inorder to access to the tone shaper? i was just curios. i was thinking of getting the toneshaper but i didnt want the hasle of taking the strings off and havving to out new strings on there. if you could answer it would be much apreciated
@ghost6392 I'm not Tim but I have a Toneshaper and I can answer for him. 1). Yes you do have to cut through the body to have the hole in the back like he does, ALTHOUGH you don't need this hole to put the Toneshaper in. You just can't change the Toneshaper's setting on the fly without the hole. 2). The Toneshaper is amazing piece of hardware. Don't be lazy. Take those fucking strings off and put a Toneshaper in there! If you're that reluctant to change 'em you probably need a new pair anyways.
@mrnikko419ya i got you. it aint about being lazy. u should kno tht this thing has many combos tht you can use to produce different sounds with some flips of some switches. i just dont wanna take off and put stings on at 7 bucks a pop for cost of some new strings. but alls fixed. i already got mine with some custom 69's and i love thm
yea i kno. its all good tho. i actually just got a custom made fender replacement body from warmoth . com and it gives you the option to have access to your electronics like in the video or in a gibson. i got the rear out configure and it works a hell of a lot better thn taking off your faceplate, plus i got ma fender body chambered which gives me a whole lot more sustain and better harmonics, and it makes ma 69's come to life. thnx for the tip tho@francisco444

Darn...clicked the wrong button and deleted myself. Anyway, as always, great demo. Like I had said, not having the rear rout was a concern as I would want to make quick changes on the fly. But, I am really digging the tones...I think I will give it a whirl.

@rancidalika probably best to contact George at Toneshapers to get the answer to that

This is a cool demo! Learned a lot. Why is the bridge pickup of a stratocaster angled but the other two pickups parallel?

@ghost6392 You dont have to take strings off to get the pickguard out. Loose them up and pull the pickguard out. Very simple....
