  • Exactly why you should have a reg book, as of last year min size was 36"

  • calm glassy water yestureday

  • The minimum size for a California Halibut is 22 inches, not 28. The daily bag limit is three, and the season is open all year. There is no minimum size for a Pacific Halibut.

Make sure to know the rules and follow them. Call 1-888-DFG-CALTIP to report poachers.

  • @neversat Wrong, Pacific halibut DO have a min size limit in Cali.

Never trust what people say on the net, get a reg book

  • @Tiggitytye No, I am not wrong. Perhaps it is you who should consult the regs, specifically section 28.20 of the 2010-2011 California Ocean Sport Fishing Regulations (page 42). It clearly says that there is no minimum size limit on Pacific Halibut.

  • I could be wrong but CA law states that a halibut must be 28 inches. Nice fish just not a keeper. Watch out for the game warden.

  • nice sunny day perfect for fishing , nice halibut Lee!!!
