  • nothing like a strat!

  • Fine job there ol' pal !!

  • BERLIN (Reuters) – A German court has ordered former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore to pay damages after ruling the guitar solo in his 1990 hit "Still Got the Blues" had been plagiarized from a German song written in 1974.

A court in the southern city of Munich said on Wednesday the solo in Moore's song was too similar to the one in "Nordrach" by the band Jud's Gallery not to have been copied

  • Wow am I glad I stumbled here & heard your Guitar . You can change lives with that sound - Dr Guitar !

  • Gotta say it, the singing sucked, but you are pretty good at guitar.

  • congrats...

  • nice sound , what did u use to record ifi may ask?

    keep the blues alive

    greetings from belgium

  • @JCTellie

thanks, its just windows moviemaker and an (old)1/8" PC mic.

  • leave out the singing and you will be greate :D good job mate

  • that was awesome man for a first try but you should have push a little more reverb on the mic

  • ENJOYABLE - SO BETTER MUCH BETTER THAN THE ASSHOLE WHOLE WHO GOT FAMOUS BY IT................. gary moron .

  • Dude you need a guitar pick. It would flow much better and you would have more control. nice waa

  • I don't like anyone! I am considered a "you tube nazi". This is good. Your guitar playing is right on. I would add a lead singer to your band. But you have guitar playing skills! I VERY MUCH ENJOY YOUR PLAYING, Thank you...

  • Gesù Cristu sà sona...

  • nice cover Donald Sutherland! :)

  • malisiiiiiiimo

    los times ?????????????

  • dude...

  • great simpler versioN~ but ur mic sounds a lil weird

  • he badly needs a good shave and haircut, and he sounds like there was something stuck inside his mouth, a deep thorat or something...and his improvised killed the original rendition of the song ....

  • And you could do better?

  • @enginebooze and you are who?? to give such a derogative response, i looked on your channel to see if it was justifiable by 1 of your video's but there were none. :X

  • excelente!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!very good

  • Incredible VOICE...

  • Szivi!

    Ismerős a dal??

    (Box??)

  • You just got a new Fan

  • haha i love how youre singing into a mic, yet its the camera mic that picks up the guitar, backing track, and vocals

  • Strat, That was Unreal mate.. vox key lead smox, you played as it pleased you yet we all know indefinitely what song it is...

4* as any justifiable cover deserve's...

  • love the improvisation, but the vox are way off and the key lead riff is definitely out of time.

  • Nice voice, very nice solo, this interpretation is perfect ! Mind of the sixties it is, is brilliant man ! Continue

  • lol

  • lool

  • Excellent interpretation and video. No doubt you got the blues.

  • very nice man !!! I kinda like that black & white scene too.....

  • no way thats a awesome song, amazing and soo good cover

  • que va tio, esta guapo joder tocalo a ver que tal. te lo digo de buen rollo yo tocla guitarra. bueno supongo aque lo habras intentado

  • a esto le llamo yo destrozar un tema precioso!

  • i really like blues

its like a drug for the guitar player. A blues solo comes ALOT from the heart and after having some jamming with a track like this you will feel wonderful afterwards, No matter your level

    Love the video man

  • @AJGNW

thanx bro, thats why i posted it ....despite the obvious flaws, i put ALOT of heart into it, and you can hear it.... thanks for "getting it" ;o)

    Strat

  • bet you had a band man!. saw gary in 2001 in birmingham u.k. his own show do this. version he played was awesome but he used more sustain, slowed it down, emphasised the licks, thot your version more complex. cool.

  • I really like it. I don't understand how the vocals wouldn't be appropriate for the song, though.... the only thing I didn't like was the attack on the guitar... I just think that the tone was a little too harsh, I'd probably tone it back myself, but to each his own. More power to you if that's what you like.

  • hahahaha! i thought you were joking!

  • sound good! I like it!

  • Credo, que merda! Não aguentei passar dos 00:55s!

  • Soulfull singing and playing yer guitar! TOP!

  • wow! dude i love that music and you take it to a whole new level! good job! love it! keep uploading ur vids in here! ur awsome

  • NO GUITAR PICK and it still sounded great ..good job

  • (About the description of this video that came up when I got this video in a search) Charvel Guitars ARE Jackson Guitars...Jackson Makes Charvel...

  • Great staff and beutiful guitar.

    5*****

  • Great stuff!

  • Out*)(*$ing standing !!!! Thanks !!!! that rocked brother !

  • Good guitar but it's very distracting that you sing most of the vocal lines one beat later than Gary does...

  • what the hell was that ? not bad guitar but try and stay true to the song.

  • Great guitar work! However, your singing is a different story.

  • oh dude!!!

  • dude, you look like jezus xD

  • Heard about picks?

  • Jeff Beck says that guitar picks are for sissies.

  • Nice guitar work, vocals are not appropriate to the song i agree. 5 star for me though dude. Rock on.

thats because he cant use one. :)

Knopfler and Gilmour dont use picks for their songs and it definetly gives another dimension to tone and emotion.

  • Not only does Gilmour almost always use a pick for guitar he also uses a pick when he plays a bass. Check your facts before putting out incorrect info.

  • the outro solo is just face melting my friend...keep up the good work

  • I could listen to you play all day,

  • Dude. Your solo KICKS ASS.

  • ESE VIDEO NO PUEDE SER MAS MALO....

  • well the last comment was over a month ago, but who cares. This reminds me sooo much of the way i play (you're a bit better, and probably much more experienced), and i hope i can play like this within the next couple months.

Really awesome skills, and was that some crazy pinch harmonic at 05:20? Ear splitting, haha.

Mostly i hope i can look as cool as you when i play. I suppose all i have to do is grow a kick ass beard like yours and i'm set, right?

    haha, anyway good job!

  • thanks a lot for the thoughtful comment bro, i just listened to it tohear that harmonic, it was quite earsplitting haha, i hope the beard comes out the way you want it dude

  • I hope to play as well as u, man! Thanks!

  • thank man, just keep practicing what you love bro ;o)

  • he got the touch...thanks man...

  • thanks for noticing ;o)

  • I like it! It is good. You look like Jesus.

    Cool!

  • thank you ! btw i get the jesus thing a lot

  • Good job.Just one thing, your voice doesn´t stay in tune.Work out that thing.

  • i know , i am working on that. i really just wanted to play the guitar part.. thanks ;o)

  • Wow that sounds nice. I love that song. I used to have a 76 hard tail with rosewood fingerboad. I miss that guitar a lot. You sound great :)

  • thanks! this is a 76 hardtail but with a maple fretboard, i took out the old electronics and replaced with a pre-wired fender lace sensor set up

  • Badass dude definitely for a woman and i so know how you feel.Very respectable son especially for such a hard song to follow GREAT GREAT JOB!

You should run one on Parisienne Walkways mmm that would be nice.

  • thanks man! i have a cd of GM backing tracks so i jam with the whole thing

  • YOU'RE REALLY GOOD, NICE NICE GUITAR

  • thank you very much !

  • very good

  • Super cover man!!! Gary Moore is one tough act to follow but you do better than respectable on this!!! Keep the cool sounds flowing our way bro!!!

    Michael

  • thanks a lot michael, this is one of my favs to perform ;O)

  • FROM SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA: Realmente me gustó. The guitar solos were amazing! Is That a Fender Guitar?

    Felicitaciones.

    Orlando.

  • thank you , yup its a 1976 fender stratocaster hardtail.

  • Great stuff, keep it up

  • thanks !

  • May I take a guess? You've never taken a single lesson and learned by listening to the blues & rock greats. If so, that's the way it should be done. Thank you for the soulful song. Rock on brutha!

  • youve got that right bro, thanks for the inciteful commment ;o)

  • dude, don't quit your daytime job !!! keep on playing !

  • thanks for the advice

  • Very good man, the main factor is that you feel the music, this is very important... Respect

  • thanks a lot bro!

  • Nice one dude. I just love the spiritual delivery of this track and the feeling it gives me hearing it. If you can work it up a bit, please do so as it's obviously going to be worth the effort. People like me will love and enjoy it with the lights off and a nice cold drink. Spine tingling. Hopefully that will give you a suitably warm feeling of achievement!

  • thanks for the thoughtful comment ! whenever i have played this in my live act, it grabs a lot of attention ;o)

  • Was this for a lady? I know how it feels...

  • so do i brother....;o)

  • Nice one dude. I enjoyed that. Thanks for posting.

  • glad you liked it, thanks ;o)

  • HOLY SHIT. you look like Don Felder in the 70's. That's a compliment

  • really great man =)

  • Haha you kind of look like Dan Aeurbach. Nice chops though, man.

  • great job holmes

    up vote

  • 100% original, 100% you, 100% passion guitar. keep going man... wish i could play like this...

  • don't warry man soon we will be like him :)

  • thanks a bunch man ;o)

  • skilled playin' !! great tone of your guitar, keep going man !!! 5*

  • thanks !

  • Actually, you have a good voice. Its hard for anyone to sing out while sitting down, and the other guys were right, throw in a little delay or verb on that voice. The technique with the thumb picking is awesome. The bend at 5:10 is very nice. The whole thing feels very authentic. Nice job

  • thanks John , i may redo this one with seperate channels to get a better vocal.

  • Yes!! Jesus is alive and well, and playing Gary Moore covers.

    Nice one actually.

  • bless you ;o)

  • thats a great one bro, i might do that one

  • DO YOU DO KING OF THE BLUES BY GARY ALSO

  • a little vocal processing to match the overprocessed guitar would work better. And make your voice sound better.

  • Nice job. I'm considering doing a lesson of this solo on my website. You may have just inspired me to try it.

  • cool man, id love to hear it on that Lester ;o)

  • Fantastic! Everything! NICE guitar! Not overdone... MELODIC! Tasteful. PERFECT!

(Dry vocals and not balanced with everything else but... that's okay... still good!)

  • thanks for the detailed commen. the vocs are embarrasingly bad but i think the lead is so melodic and tasty i chose to post it anyway ;o)

  • Nice guitar, nice playing. So many people claim to have met Jesus and know what he looks like - funny old world eh?

  • thanks a lot bro

    Peace man!

  • Hey strat, people ever tell you that you look like my Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ? Just an observation. Laters!

  • well i look like some artists renderings of what they gather he may have looked like and yeah actually i get that a lot ;o)

  • I've met Jesus Christ and he's lost the haircut AND the beard due to 'constant stereotyping'. He now has a tattoo and an earing and has dropped the 'peace man' catch-phrase.

  • I used to listen to this song over and over again! Man it's been a long time since I've heard this. Man, you can play the hell out of that guitar!

  • thanks a lot man !

  • im so speechless! this is so hotttt baby...

    *M*

  • thanks ma'am

  • Which Pickups do you have in that?

  • Fender Lace Sensors

  • Nice tone.

  • thanks , theyre pretty hot yet noise-free

  • Is that what Gilmour uses? U running that straight in your amp or any effects?

  • dunno but Clapton uses this set-up on his strat

  • The guitar was amazing. 5 stars for me too.

Next time i would reccomend lowing the vocals volume a bit. :-).

  • thanks a lot bro! the mix is tuff under these conditions, but i hear your advice

  • Yeah.. I understand completly.

  • Well I thought it made a refreshing change for the guitar NOT to be drowning out the vocal, but, yes, I think the balance is/was a bit off - at first (ahem) I thought you were lipsynching - sorry awful thing to say I know.

  • great cover five stars from me

  • thanks a lot , i love stars !

  • Oh - and I really meant to say how conciencious of you to answer so many comment
