It's funny I started really getting into Forza 3 (and driving games as a whole) as I was approaching my 17th birthday and was soon going to be able to start learning to drive, for added realism I went straight into playing using the first-person view from inside the car where you can see all the dials and interior etc. and now I can't play any other way, I don't fell like I have any control over the car from any other viewpoint except the other first person over-the-bonnet view.

Never played forza2 but you see the difference in the graphics. Forza 3 has so much more advancement with the newer graphics engine. The cars in forza 2 didnt look too bad but yet they more ressembled a kids toy version like matchbox or hotwheels. The cars are much more sharper looking, better lines, more greater lighting which makes the cars curves stand out alot more than before. The course graphics are alot smoother too, look at the grass or NY track just to tell the difference.

FM3 looks better in just about every definable way. Anyone that has spent adequate amounts of time playing both knows this. Only major bonus for FM2 is that some tracks feature a later daytime lighting, which looks snazzier. That's it.

Why do racing games always have a flat green layer instead of proper grass? Coz if GT5 has decent reflections and proper grass i'm defo getting it. Anyways on the subject of which is better then Forza 3 coz it has way better lighting detail.

@cvturbo its because of the tracks hes on. in the forza 2 model hes on a track where the sun is setting so you will see that reflection off the car. in forza 3 its in the middle of the day so no reflection. if you play forza 3 on a dusk track, the reflections will look just as good.

Pointless test, I have both Forza 2 and Forza 3 which i play on a 720p 52" projection screen, and there is a HUGE difference between the two games. You need to have a big screen and HDMI if you want to see the difference. Forza 3 is superior in everyway, cleaner, crisper, not as glossy for sure.
