Anyone realises the Space marines are actually under Kyras' loyalists. The Eldar are just trying to slow the Exterminatus on Typhon. The Space marines ordered by Kyras to destroy the Farseer so that Typhon can be extermnated from the universe forever. I think this is based of the campaign mission where you have to hunt down the seer council and eliminate the farseer And the warp spider was probably the guardian that keeps teleporting the farseers to random places around the map in the game.

Anyone realize that they change the voice of the male Eldars in DOW2.In DOW 1 , they all had a really girlish androgynous voice.The Male especially sound ridiculously and funny . In Dow 2 there's clear distinction between the genders.The male sound like male . The Warlock and WPE sound bad ass .Good change Relic .

Space marines actually win Dark Crusade (the official history is that The Blood Ravens, beat back the Necrons on kronus)

As for Soulstorm, Space Marines get beaten up pretty badly, but Imperial Guard and Eldar wins that one, so its half a victory for the empire :)

As we can see they're 3 factions already implemented in-game. What about the 4th? Can it be nids? Or chaos maybe?... With the space marines always comes the chaos, so I bet it will be chaos since it's the Imperium's greater nemesis! As I said before - I'm an IG player and I hope they make it into the expansions if not in the first Dow2...

P.S. one final thing : Eldar! Cadian 412th has seen doom before! We bested it then, and will best it today! DIE WELL :D

Seriously, this is a debate that's been going on ever since they first introduced this video. All we can do is to wait and see what THQ got up their sleeve. If they're gonna add Chaos as the final faction (considering if they going to go alá the first DoW, that only had four factions), then sweet. More souls to Slaanesh!

...eldar sneaking up on them means that their augmented hearing is no match for the stealth of the eldar. I was also a bit disappointed at the vulnerability of the space marine power armour. Their reflexes could also have been quicker (see the part where the warp spider delivers the killing blow).

The warp spider was probably the most impressive warrior in this clip closely followed by the squad leader of the space marines. The dreadnaught was impressive too.

That was a really good video. However, did you see how many space marines the eldar slaughtered at the begining? I don't know why but it riles me when I see so many being killed at any one time especially given the extensive training and trials (not to mention the investment in war gear) that goes into training a marine.

Um...well nids are actually the most dangerous foe the imperium or any Xeno can think about. They evolve super fast, they spawn super fast, and they come in giant swarms...chaos could stand against a small hive fleet (tens of thousands) but agains a large hive fleet(millions) they would get owned.

The largest crusade that the Imperium went out on had over 6 BILLION Guardsmen. Imagine how many BANEBLADES, how many SUPER HEAVY-TANKS and TITANS they brought with them? The Tyranids were split off, and now only exists as splinter fleets. Sure, they're dangerous, but saying that they are more dangerous than Chaos is a grave understatement.

The Imperium can destroy ANY faction in WH40K, it's just that they would give up the defense of other worlds, and by doing that, slowly kill themselves.

There's only two factions that actually represent a threat to the Imperium, and that's Chaos and Tau.

Chaos: It simply is chaos. It builds up cults and inspire rebellions. What the hell do you think broke up the entire Imperium a loooong way back? Was it 'Nids? No. Was it Orks? No. It was Chaos. Pure CHAOS. Tyranid players can shove something up their asses if they think they're stronger than Chaos.

Tau: Because they're expanding. FAST. And just like chaos, they inspire rebellions.

That.... is problably the most idiotic thing I've heard so far. The 'Nids are strong, no doubt, but compared to the MAJOR factions (alá Chaos, IG, SM), they're freakishly weak.

The faction that's going to cause some serious problems in the future are the Tau. They keep converting other worlds and forcing them to fight for The Greater Good. And since you don't have the constant threat of being shot by a commissar, most people join them.

Oh I'm sure everyone wants Tyranids, I mean, I was dying to see them too in the first DoW game. However, I predict they will play it safe and put in Chaos instead of Tyranids. In fact, I have heard some strong rumours that the fourth faction WILL be Chaos (which, given the current make-up seems more than likely: Chaos is THE classic arch-enemy of the Imperium and Eldar race, even though the Tyranids may pose an even larger threat).

But we can dream, sure. :-) We'll see.

Actually, seeing as the Games Developers didn't dare to make a Tyranid race in DoW I, I think the blurry colors in the sky is in fact warpspace bleeding into ours. Perhaps Tyranids, but I think a Chaos Incursion is more likely. Ulthwe has always guarded the Eye of Terror and tried to prevent Humans doing something really stupid (and thus dooming this whole planet to Chaos, likely).

Also during a gamespot interview one of the developers said that there was a clue as to what the 'invaders' will be at the end of the video, but i cant really make out that much :S

I dont know what she means, but, u see the planet has a moon, this could be something to do with the world Tyran - the imperium's 1st encounter with the 'nids. Also, she says, 'this world is theirs' the collective pronoun could suggest something without number, a nameless evil, perhaps death itself. Also, gauss weapons and necron energy is green, so perhaps it isnt necron, could be chaos as well as nids, picture could be depicting nurgle's rot. I still think nids though.
