Nah, when your first dropship arrives, it SHOULD be filled by a high ranked commander + several heavy cannon python tracks, lancer cobra tracks and machinegun cobra tracks from your new paradigm campaign, immediatly use this group to go northeast and take out the enemy hq, sensors and bombard pits, back back out, get the concrete upgrades going and a heavy cannon hardpoint at north of base, grtz, now all you gotta do is use commander battlegroup to sweep the rest of the enemy off the map.
It's a very difficult level, but you can beat it. Build commanders and your strongest machine guns that can also hit air. They're cheap and will bring your commander experience up, while you build a repair facility and set them all to retreat at medium damage. Then build air defence and recycle the machine guns into lancers. Don't worry too much about the walls, because if you get bottlenecked in then your damaged tanks won't be able to retreat.

I donno, I personally enjoy having control and customization over every single one of my units and down to what upgrades I really want or how I proceed about handling missions. Or the fact my previous bases don't get removed or 'wiped' out randomly because I go to other missions. Having a main base, several side missions, and overall saving resources from doing this all, seems like a pretty positive idea to me.

A suggestion:at the beginning of a mission where the enemy has got air units,build 8 anti air bunkers near the QG,so the air units will be smashed up trying to bomb the QG! XD
Hi,I recently played to this game,but I have met some problems with missions with time limit...if I don't manage this type of mission,the game ends and I can't restar at the beginning of the level,but only from the saved game;so,if I have saved the game when time limit is quite out and I can't destroy enemy base,I have to restart all the campaign from the beginning,and remake all missions.How can I restar only the mission and not the entire campaign?

The first time i played this game was when i where 4 years old (on ps1) and im still playing this game. Btw this mission is one of the easiest i cleared it when i where 7 =)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)
i really miss this game. dunno how i lost the old game discs. fell in love with it after playing the demo which came with one of the Tomb Raider sequels. ran out and found the last copy a local store had. they said they were gonna throw it away if it wasn't purchased soon. :O

My friend slaughters me with ripple rockets and sensor towers within 30 minutes. UGH! Im beginning to not like this game, mainly cuz I suck at RTS games. (only one ive beaten is Battlezone 1 for the PC)
i thought this mission was really hard the first time i played it, second time i blew through it.
just get a team of lancers then go take out the mortar pits after you've defended against the first wave of attacks, the mission should end once you get rid of all the enemy structures.
also building up your defences where they've destroyed your hardpoints is a good idea, keeps the AI away.
Warzone rocks, this games is awsome I highly recommed playing I particularly like the skirmishes its very challenging and addictive!!!! Best RTS game in my opinion.
Warzone 2100 is pretty nice. I still play it today. This level was pretty intense and I failed the first time because I was caught off guard. Beat it the second time by placing several mortars just behind the walls so the enemy mortars wouldn't destroy them. I also sent a truck or two to keep fixing walls to distract their mortar fire. As soon as you arrive, send for back up.
@TheAviator8 Yeah, you can see me building them at the NW part of the base to peel those units off that front and reinforcing Anti Air to keep the VTOLS off my command center. Its just time consuming.
@vidEOkid12345 No idea. But if its anything like CnC for the PS way back when. Its not as responsive as the PC version. Maybe RTS's and Console gaming just don't mix?
@SirRavin Warzone for the PSX had an interesting control system where you could pick a single "leader" unit and drove it around and other units would follow you. From what I heard, that control system made it better than any other console RTS, although one would still rather play it on a PC. Micromanagement and consoles do not mix.
@ZarelSL You can do that on the PC version as well. You get a command unit, link them to it, take the unit, click to point it while you do I think the command had F with it or Spacebar. It would come to a dropdown. I loved driving heavy cannon tanks and watch them in a near first person view as they blew out buildings. Its what turned me onto RTS, but sadly, no RTS to this day gives me the satisfaction this one did. :I

Hi, I love this game. It is one of the rare games that i almost fisnish (by stopping time counter though).
But I know that Pumpkin Studio was closed after Warzone 2100. Is that due to the fact that WZ2100 was not enough promising, or something else more complicated?
I used to work at a movie place when this game was still on the shelves, I would bring it home for weeks at a time. I was 17 at the time and this guy in his mid 30s showed up one day all pissy because we never had this game on the shelves. It only validated my experience. I returned it for him and the bastard stole it!
@AncientCrepsley You fail. CnC came out around 95. RE2 wasn't out until 96. Both games were two dimensional and offered limited units and structures. Both games however, amazing as they are, pale in comparison to Warzone 2100. being the fact of the customization of Warzone or the Research aspect of the game.
Even to this day. Id rather play Warzone 2100. Warzone 2100 was released in 97 If I am not mistaken. Taking every aspect of RTS and making into something amazing.
@SirRavin I would agree with you if not for the fact that warzone would not have been released if not for command and conquer allthough they offered little variation of units and were 2D these games where released 2 years before warzone and contained realism that is missing from warzone. I must admit though i was lost for many years when i could not find my Warzone 2100 cd for my ps1
@master0r0 I was actually rather surprised when I found out it was also for the PS1!. Considering I played the original CnC on the Ps1 which ultimately lead me to getting the PC Version with the OPs extra missions. I then found Warzone 2100 threw a friend and instantly fell in love with it.
If anything, I have WZ2100 and CnC to thank for making me play the PC!
Nice game, i'm playing it right now, the newest beta is very good and looks great :) I still remember playing ORIGINAL demo of this game and man... So much better, yet... still the same :) I reccomend it to EVERY RTS fan!
in skirmish games i like to erect my base at the rear and then construct a hardcrete wall maze to drive enemies into turrets firing away at them. Then at the end if they emerge, my units blast them away.
yes this mission is quite hard. i just out bombarded them when i got the counter battry detector. but it still took me like 40mins. i panic when the time is close to running out.
Its available for free now, the source code was released, and it is under open source development, mainly for balance fixing, graphics updates (the new terrain renderer is awesome, and high poly models should come out relatively soon), etc
research is the most important thing in the game only after 3 minutes u started cannon.. if u did AA res u could destroy all VTOL's without building more construictions...
the transport let u call reinforcements from alpha base and u didnt get any...
this is not that hard its only hard because u let it be, u got lots of power and only after 7 minutes u really start using it
I agree. But this was my first playthrough in years. Considering I just fought down the new paradime I wasnt exactly full force and ready to take down the next area. So I just went in with what I had. Lol

i dont know why but the VTOLs on the pc verson are harder to shoot down, i had 5 AA batterys torth west of by base and out of the 5 planes that came in thay ouly shot down 1
I dunno but I always use command turret python tracks + a bunch of heavy cannon,medium cannon, lancers in his group and steamroll anything.
Makes this mission also alot easier, just put the commander group at front entrance and blast incoming forces untill you are ready to advance to wipe out the enemy base
I'll admit that the first couple of times I did this mission it was hard at first, but after that it wasn't too bad to successfully defend the base. Surprised you allowed your hardpoints to be destroyed and not as quickly rebuilt/repaired as they were.
The artillery is just shelling them from afar. It was no point in trying to rebuild them because trucks would get targeted and id lose more then simply at the time to build units and try to close the LZ to the south.

Yea, it also uploaded itself to some reaally annoying laser satellites, but you kinda shoot a couple of missles at them and that goes bye bye. The hardest part for me tho was the Nexus takeover virus, it kept taking my 1) HQ, 2) Factories, 3) Hellstorms, which blew up like 4 buildings before I could take out the outposts...
i actully want to get the pc version now lol the ps1 version was good. but i was looking at the back page and noticed that the 3 picture on the back is in the third zone and it looked like it was scavenger raiders against nexus. i was gutted when i couldn't create them in the ps1 version. also can you research and use the scrambler turrent in the pc version as i found it annoying that nexus kept absourbing my units yet i could absorb theirs.
i downloaded this AWSOME game a few days ago but and im loving it... but the cutscenes wont play, just comes up in typing instead, anyone know why or how i can fix it?

Your resources will never grow and the enenmy has you where he wants you. Hypervelocity cannons will destroy faster than tank killers because of their reload capacity. then concetrate your weapons on one tank at a time. Use the Ctrl and 1 to combine a team of tanks. and MOVE OUT. defences should be walled to allow enemy to move into a killing zone. Otherwise your shooting all over the place.
Age hasn't slowed this game down one bit. Now they pack the videos with WZ2100R, so the deal's even sweeter now. The game is free! FREE! And it's FUN!

On the Playstation version, it's a bitch! I use a Heavy Cannon/Python/Hover, Heavy Machine Gun/Python/Tracks(I think I spell it wrong), and Lancer Missile/Cobra/Tracks Rush against the ones that are on the top of my map, and those that are on the bottom of my map, and then I bulk up my base defenses for the next attack. That is one piss-off mission that I will never forget.

On pc, the LZ in this mission is inside the base and on PSone the LZ is outside.
I prefer on pc cuz u can build your building near each other unlike on PSone (but i found a trick to do :P only for offense buildings)

Need a tip?
Use track propulsion for all units, and command turret, for giving the attack orders.
And build air defences to get rid of enemy VTOLs .

Hi, I love this game. It is one of the rare games that i almost fisnish (by stopping time counter though).
But I know that Pumpkin Studio was closed after Warzone 2100. Is that due to the fact that WZ2100 was not enough promising, or something else more complicated?

I used to work at a movie place when this game was still on the shelves, I would bring it home for weeks at a time. I was 17 at the time and this guy in his mid 30s showed up one day all pissy because we never had this game on the shelves. It only validated my experience. I returned it for him and the bastard stole it!

@AncientCrepsley You fail. CnC came out around 95. RE2 wasn't out until 96. Both games were two dimensional and offered limited units and structures. Both games however, amazing as they are, pale in comparison to Warzone 2100. being the fact of the customization of Warzone or the Research aspect of the game.
Even to this day. Id rather play Warzone 2100. Warzone 2100 was released in 97 If I am not mistaken. Taking every aspect of RTS and making into something amazing.

@SirRavin I would agree with you if not for the fact that warzone would not have been released if not for command and conquer allthough they offered little variation of units and were 2D these games where released 2 years before warzone and contained realism that is missing from warzone. I must admit though i was lost for many years when i could not find my Warzone 2100 cd for my ps1

@master0r0 I was actually rather surprised when I found out it was also for the PS1!. Considering I played the original CnC on the Ps1 which ultimately lead me to getting the PC Version with the OPs extra missions. I then found Warzone 2100 threw a friend and instantly fell in love with it.
If anything, I have WZ2100 and CnC to thank for making me play the PC!

Nice game, i'm playing it right now, the newest beta is very good and looks great :) I still remember playing ORIGINAL demo of this game and man... So much better, yet... still the same :) I reccomend it to EVERY RTS fan!

I screwed myself over on this mission:
1. I accidentally recycled all my units before I play this mission except the ones that were in the transport.
2. I DIDN'T KNOW THAT I STILL HAVE TO TRANSPORT MY UNITS TO BETA BASE!
3. This mission was a ugly experience for me! DX

in skirmish games i like to erect my base at the rear and then construct a hardcrete wall maze to drive enemies into turrets firing away at them. Then at the end if they emerge, my units blast them away.

the LZ at the south west of youre base gives you the most trobule (second to the air raides)
take that out first then you can foucus on the attaks to yore front.

yes this mission is quite hard. i just out bombarded them when i got the counter battry detector. but it still took me like 40mins. i panic when the time is close to running out.

Its available for free now, the source code was released, and it is under open source development, mainly for balance fixing, graphics updates (the new terrain renderer is awesome, and high poly models should come out relatively soon), etc

Even on hard this is easy
-use commanders (one vet commander makes all units assigned to it recieve benefits of a veteran unit etc.)
-use half-tracks NOT hover for lancers
-get rid of the bunkers useless and block
-remove walls from the front end to be able to quickly move units in and out
-set to retreat on heavy damage (have repair bay built)
-bunker busters are useless, if you are not hitting those bunkers/hardpoints scrap them

If you are being overwhelmed turn the speed down silly goose :V (control+ minus key)
+ recycle the tracked trucks they get in the way, esp since you are using hovers
half tracks give good hp modifier and speed, lets those lancer tanks survive the lancer hardpoints north of beta base
Having 8 hover bombards + hover sensor back @ alpha and reinforcing it right away will help a LOT with defending on hard

research is the most important thing in the game only after 3 minutes u started cannon.. if u did AA res u could destroy all VTOL's without building more construictions...
the transport let u call reinforcements from alpha base and u didnt get any...
this is not that hard its only hard because u let it be, u got lots of power and only after 7 minutes u really start using it

I agree. But this was my first playthrough in years. Considering I just fought down the new paradime I wasnt exactly full force and ready to take down the next area. So I just went in with what I had. Lol

Btw it is called beta base.
Yeah nowadays they always use bravo, but in warzone they use beta (hence the alpha, beta and gamma greek letters are used in briefings aswell)

i dont know why but the VTOLs on the pc verson are harder to shoot down, i had 5 AA batterys torth west of by base and out of the 5 planes that came in thay ouly shot down 1

I dunno but I always use command turret python tracks + a bunch of heavy cannon,medium cannon, lancers in his group and steamroll anything.
Makes this mission also alot easier, just put the commander group at front entrance and blast incoming forces untill you are ready to advance to wipe out the enemy base

I'll admit that the first couple of times I did this mission it was hard at first, but after that it wasn't too bad to successfully defend the base. Surprised you allowed your hardpoints to be destroyed and not as quickly rebuilt/repaired as they were.

The artillery is just shelling them from afar. It was no point in trying to rebuild them because trucks would get targeted and id lose more then simply at the time to build units and try to close the LZ to the south.

Basically, You fight him at the main base in the Rocky Mountains. The time limit is removed from this fight.
It took me I believe 3 hours to do the final level.
But You do kill Nexus, and then start rebuilding the world.
If you have played the game, you'd know why you were killing him.
But yes, that is basically the ending. You destory the Nexus main computer bunker which is where Nexus is hiding

Yea, it also uploaded itself to some reaally annoying laser satellites, but you kinda shoot a couple of missles at them and that goes bye bye. The hardest part for me tho was the Nexus takeover virus, it kept taking my 1) HQ, 2) Factories, 3) Hellstorms, which blew up like 4 buildings before I could take out the outposts...

Yeah, They tend to do that, that's why I relied heavily on end game on artillery and cannons with sensors to keep them from absorbing anyone.

i actully want to get the pc version now lol the ps1 version was good. but i was looking at the back page and noticed that the 3 picture on the back is in the third zone and it looked like it was scavenger raiders against nexus. i was gutted when i couldn't create them in the ps1 version. also can you research and use the scrambler turrent in the pc version as i found it annoying that nexus kept absourbing my units yet i could absorb theirs.

If you can get air support. they can pick of annoying sneak attacks from the rear. God help you when you get up to the Gauss guns and Rail Weapons..lol I have been a major basher of this game since 1999 and I know how huge this game can get. Good Luck

Your resources will never grow and the enenmy has you where he wants you. Hypervelocity cannons will destroy faster than tank killers because of their reload capacity. then concetrate your weapons on one tank at a time. Use the Ctrl and 1 to combine a team of tanks. and MOVE OUT. defences should be walled to allow enemy to move into a killing zone. Otherwise your shooting all over the place.

On the Playstation version, it's a bitch! I use a Heavy Cannon/Python/Hover, Heavy Machine Gun/Python/Tracks(I think I spell it wrong), and Lancer Missile/Cobra/Tracks Rush against the ones that are on the top of my map, and those that are on the bottom of my map, and then I bulk up my base defenses for the next attack. That is one piss-off mission that I will never forget.
