Wow, quite a reflector on that first oven. I heard on PBS that China uses a lot of solar heating for water. This was a great video showing various energy alternatives. It looked more like an experimental station or a community resourse rather than a single family home. I wonder exactly what this is?

It is north island New Zealand. I would describe the guy as a famous eco innovator from japan. I think the house is all the things in one.
I wanted to visit when I was in New Zealand but I got sick and couldn't travel far.
