  • how do you stop a takedown from bigger opponents ?

  • Nice video. I have a question about the matting you have in this video. Does that "lego-style" matting work well for falling and rolling or is it too rough?

  • I like your beard Master Kareem. In Afghanistan some tribes also dye their beards. I couldnt pull this look off but you sure do. By the way sir this is my wife account .

  • Karim Sensei really is a terrific person. Have trained along side him at Tai Kais, such a passive speaker. Mind you I do think there is something to the beard giving him special powers ;) I hope to come to NYC in the coming year to spend time with him and learn some.

  • Did u know the made a movie called Black ninjas in the 70's?

  • I see your beard is epic

  • how would you defend against a takedown like from a wrestler

  • Comment removed

  • @hotpopcorncake Stop lying, I have never trained in any Korean art. WARNING hotpopcorncake is a DAMN LIAR!!!!

  • Be water my friends....

  • Pretty good! I like this Ninjamaster! Very convincing movements!

  • Id love to see this type of training in MMA......WTF Im far from a badass but with these simple moves you can easily STOP or WIN the battle. Absolutely Epic

  • This art form DEFEATS ALL others if done correctly. Master Kareem is an exellent teacher.

  • I have done boxing and Taekwondo and i never thought of this even though i took these course for self protection. great words too thanks for the upload.

  • black ninjas? 40% better for night ops :)

  • rofl looks like tech n9ne

  • Thats similar to a kamae we have in the bujinkan hira ichmonigi. Good technique

  • Nice moves makes me want to get in to ninjitsu.

  • i love his beard man.

  • this looks pretty cool but when ur in a real fight people are not gonna pause im not saying this is good or bad but looks like more hand movements and things of that nature

  • Great to hear you sayin´ "OSU!"

Guess this is a bit forgotten in these days, very cool demonstration!

  • thanks guys, this video really helped me change the way i think about martial arts and self defence. Its really interesting and incrediby usefull knowing the conceps behind these sorts of things, since as you said befor knowing the concepts are much more usefull then just knowing the technique, since it helps you addapt. knowing and mastering the technique is usles unless you know what its for and how to use and adapt it

  • why would they fake a martial art? why would someone create a conspiracy this big? If this guy is faking what he's doing, how then can he flip someone twice his size if this wouldn't work?

in the movies they don't move half as well as this man in this video. Of course, you wouldn't know how pressure points work, would you? or how about the concept of using the center of balance against your opponent (tia Chi). this isn't fake.

  • Blackie Chan!

  • once upon a time ninjutsu wasn't even ninjutsu. It was a number of poor people over many, many years searching for, studying, coming up with and trying different teachings to defend themselves against their opressers. so who's to say what ninjutsu is not, if its effective against the ememy!?

  • I understand what the sensei was trying to say but, I find that with all the training videos, books, etc. It is always very structured as in, 'If he attackes you this way you do this'. So what happens if he attacks you another way? or if you initial defence didn't stop him? I guess what I'm saying, you are at the mercy of what your master has taught you anf hope you don't come across something different.

  • @slavetotheblues Thats why you learn countless techniques and applications. Thats why you learn concepts and not just techniques. So if your attacked in a different way all you have to do is adjust your self to that attack. Its not that hard to adapt .

  • I respect this style greatly, but i would love to see it against an MMA fighter. All due respect

  • Although there were times in wich there were interceptions a vast majority of the time in this demo it was more interrupting the the attack as opposed to intercepting. Like I said there were a few times where the attack was intercepted but most of them were not. Good demo none the less..what ninjutsu system is it based on?

  • where can i learn this style

  • How can one 'prove' the effectiveness of a style in UFC? I think it is a disadvantage to martial artists because they can't do a lot of things they are taught resulting in the big guy winning the match by sitting on the opponent most of the time. Some styles are too deadly for prime time tv is all Im saying.

  • Peace my brother. Do you have a dojo in the atl?

  • btw are you training bujinkan? or an other style

  • awesome, the explanation is very good. couldn't be said better. but i have a question is it really only self defence or is it also attack. because in ninjutsu you also study several kicks and, punches.

  • People tell other to prove selfdefence in MMA are strange. If you would know about your so called "rules" you would know its not allowed to use punches aginst throat or geniatals. But do we have to discuss if it would be more effective ?!

On the other side i have to say i would prefer to stay away from any situation i really have to think about hurt someone so bad it causes serious injury :)

Anyway it is a good demonstration of your chosen martial art!

    thanks for uploading!

  • Dear sirs from SuubUrbanNinja. I'm a taekwondo instructor as well as a ninjutsu student. I agree with you, yayiekitty has no idea of what he is saying, UFC is like football or any other sport. Ninjutsu is a real combat discipline, a real martial art. But the last statement about the damn high school kids, I think wasn't necesary. If this person is ignorant, you should try to teach him. If he does not want to learn, you should just ask him to leave. It's not necesary to insult.

  • @zaxarion You are right. Much respect.

  • UFC is is for sport fighting "with RULES" meanwhile commandos, berets, SEALs ext. use these forms of art for stealth, espionage, close combat, assasination, ext because it IS effective in the REAL WORLD........please STOP the one way thinking:/

  • I find that all martial arts are applicable on the street but some such as this one it appears you needs to be at a high level. I learn and teach krav maga and I find that the even at the most simple level it is the best to use. I'd llike to be proved wrong but I'm yet to be

  • if this shit is so effective.. PROVE IT in the real world, try the ufc.

  • @yayiekitty UFC is not the real world. Its a sport competition. When as the last time you saw a referee and fight RULES in the real world????

  • @SuubUrbanNinja what does it matter? the rules apply to both fighters, mma is the nearest thing to reality, it's not like people can walk around and just kill each other for no reason. i'm a martial arts purist too but i do believe that u have to prove the effectiveness of a style 1st b4 everything else

  • @yayiekitty It matters alot. in the real world you don't shake hands with your opponent before an attack. In the real world your attacker has intent to seriously harm you or kill you. In the real world any thing goes. And what do you mean in the real world people dont walk around and just kill each other??? Where do you live? And we have proven the effectiveness of our style on the streets of the NYC instead of the UFC. Many of our students are here today because of our style and testify to it

  • @yayiekitty and see , your statements prove you just dont get it. You say the rules apply to BOTH FIGHTERS. Well in the real world rules apply to NO ONE! Especially the killer, street thug, or Mugger. And we dont train for FIGHTS. We train for SELF DEFENSE. You nay sayers keep talking in the context of a fight because all you know is UFC. Well we are talking in the context of Thug trying to take your car, your money while at the ATM, Home Invader, Serial Killer. You dont square off with them!

  • @SuubUrbanNinja

Amen to that lol i could not agree more, too many ppl see UFC or MMA as the best martial art but so many fighters in UFC have not bin even once in street fight and cant even think out side the box, yea they are great fighters but thats what they are fighters anyone can be a good fighter with some good training but to be martial artist is diff, there are maybe few UFC competators that i can say are actualy martial artist and wolud be efective in the street fight

  • @SuubUrbanNinja

100 % agreed. These UFC fanboys need to understand that REAL fights are not UFC matches. You cannot duplicate the adrenaline and intent and unpredictablility a real fight has compared to sport.

Real life altercations are completely different.

  • @yayiekitty And I saw your TKD team video.A bunch of damn High School kids and you trying to tell us about Real world danger?? What the hell you know about real fights and real attempted Murder or robbery? You not qualified to discuss that with us. Get moving kid!

  • @SuubUrbanNinja u said it urself, HIGH SCHOOL KIDS, that video was for the kids participating in a school sports fest, it wasn't about fighting, do u actually think i'm 1 of those kids? well ur sorely mistaken, i have a 2nd dan blackbelt in tkd, therefore i teach it, but i also happen to practice boxing and i'm training in brazilian jiu jitsu under ROGER GRACIE, u don't know anything about me so don't say that i'm not qualified to discuss anything with u. can't believe u even watched the video

  • @yayiekitty Well then take your own advice!!! YOU DONT KNOW US, SO DONT SIT HERE MAKING IGNORANT COMMENTS ABOUT SOMETHING YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SuubUrbanNinja Dont waste your time mannn

This guy still plays Xboxlive on saturdays instead of going on 20+ mile runs

  • @SuubUrbanNinja

Ninjutsu is just a mix of aikido, juijitsu and karate.

It's good to say "yeah, i practice ninjutsu"...

  • @SuubUrbanNinja TESTIFY!!!

  • @yayiekitty

    MMA: 1920

    Ninjutsu : 12th century

Still think Ninjutsu's effectiveness need to be proved?

  • @Peo92 I would date MMA to 1500 BC in the form of Pankration from Greece. No rules fighting from a blend of boxing and wrestling.

  • @yayiekitty seriously... you dont get the true meaning of martial arts then.... you should quit from TKD and go paint or something like that...

im a wu shu 2-dan black belt owner and have been practicing for the last 14 years... each martial art i have seen has its own + and -.... so before you comment on an ancient martial art just watch it closer and with a more open minded view... you like kicking i like blocking and counter attacking... in the street there is no rules....

  • @yayiekitty plus you will never see the results or the effectiveness of a style until you actually get to know it or even better practice it.... you should respect a martial art like you respect a religion... its a way of life... i hope someone proves you in the real world the effectiveness of this art and then you might reconsider your skills in tkd.. when youre out in the real world i dont think your skill will be good enough to save you... considering your stance against a fighting style...

  • @yayiekitty I completely agree with SuubUrbanNinja. In a real fight it's not who wins or who loses. It's who lives, who dies, who gets raped, who gets murdered because people carry around guns, knives and fight without rules because they're is no referee or anyone to say "hey, break it up" when you go down. In real life people will smash your skull in with a baseball bat. MMA and UFC don't train for that.

  • @yayiekitty You are one of many keyboard-heroes, who doesn't know shit about martial arts.. There is subculture of martial arts (self-defense) like wing tsun, krav maga and Ninjutsu, where you are trained to "eliminate" an oppenent in real life, a kick in the groin or simulary stuff which is not allowed in the UFC... Its a sport where they both attacks and defend, in real-life its different....

  • @yayiekitty they cant kill in ufc haha

  • @yayiekitty retarded comment,... many stories of boxers and mma guys getting stabbed and beaten up in the streets, a ufc would win in a cage with rules.. but one of these dudes would probably have better chances of surviving a knife attack or being jumped from behind in an alleyway

  • @yayiekitty ive never seen TKD used in UFC not gonna lie

  • @yayiekitty The reality of it is that a real Japanese Ninja would cut your UFC guy's balls and make him swallow them before he even realized he is dead.

  • @yayiekitty whoa2..hold on a second.both of u.u don't have to argue about the affectiveness of martial art techniques.all techniques are create to face the danger of real world.none were create for competition in the first place.the problem and truth is when we as martial artist, don't know what are our weakness.that why masters of wing chun, capoeira, karate and the others could create great techniques.they know the weakness and learn how to overcome it.that's the truth about martial arts.

  • nice vid but plz tell ur master to explain and show it at the same time.it would be more effective learning for me.

  • @yayiekitty ninjutsu is a REAL martial art, that is aimed to kill opponents as quickly and efficiently as possible in the time of war. These are just modernised techniques, try the real ninjutsu as it was a few hundred years ago in real world today, and your probably a murderer

  • @yayiekitty I could prove it in your face ;)

  • @yayiekitty UFC is not the real world. in the real world anything goes. even tearing off ears, gouging eyes and breaking joints. UFC is patty cake compared to what anyone on the streets would encounter.

  • @yayiekitty in UFC you cant do lethal strikes,in real world you can do everything....

  • @yayiekitty fighting is about technique if its about power a bullit is stronger then muscle right it depends also if you have a heavy weight against a feather weight that would be unfair :) fighting styles is about intercepting countering attacking defending etc its made by people for self defense but there are always evil people who want to beat his aponent for no reason...

  • @yayiekitty in real life there is no rules, so ninjutsu takes adventage of that feature thats wy its soo effective. we use the envirement to overcome a opponent. if you dont understand this then i wounder where your life whent soo wrong.

  • @yayiekitty ufc is gay any damn ways boy u dont come here talk some shit, all they do is hug and slam eachother on the ground like little homosexuals

  • @yayiekitty SuubUrbanNinja is right but there are ufc fighters who are mixed martial artist and most ufc fighters are and some of those mixed martial arts are tae kown, kingfu, wrestling, jijistu and ninjitsu..and it depends how good you are with those arts to defend your self.

  • @yayiekitty they will never do that, because this crap only works in movies and video games :P

  • @Banminator You mean thats all you do is watch movies and play videos games. So you nothing about what we do.

  • @Banminator you do realise this is a demo, so theyre going at a pace so we can se clearly whats hapening, and theyre not trying to hert echother. this isnt ufc and mma or any other ring sport for that matter, its about taking out your oponant with minimum fuss. I dont know about you, but if i got hit in the throat i would find it pritty hard to continue doing anything other then trying to get my breathing back to normal, let alone continue reacting to what else is hapening and fighting.

  • @raysetiger285 yea the true meaning of the martial arts is bout forgotton they turnd it in to a sport and another way to make a doller u take a U.F.C fighter ( lord knows them guys are out to hurt u ) but u take him put him aganst a shaolin monk that has studied at the shaolin temple no ring experience at all just pure 100% shaolin monk that ufc fighter wouldnt have a chance in hell

  • @solaris5370 I disagree sir. (:

  • I love how this guy has such subtlety with taking kazushi by sweeping the legs out.

  • Do you learn Jeet Kune Do?

  • black ninjas!

  • This guy is totally right, you are not going to stand in a stance when you are arguing, no one is, actually if you do - you will look like you're crazy. This man is a true sensei.

  • Really impressive...but I can see clearly that the most important actitude to develop is the proper "timing" to wipe off and counterattack

  • This is nice im interested but theres no schools for me to learn in around my area

  • @sliczer22 Try our online training videos. The link is on our channel.

  • this brings back the memories... i need to get back into training!

  • That's no fair at all. The second (invisible) ninja made two on one.

  • do you also teach other jutsu like chidori?

  • 89 people fought him for a week and didn't even hit once.

  • @RainboColour LOL dude. It works when you have mastered the technique and you are in the right mental condition. I have spend over 11 years in various martial art. Boxing is just too limited. This is another way of fighting. You have to learn and experience it and be calm inside of yourself. But if you want go there in Brooklyn and challenge the master himself. Goodluck :)

  • black ninja

  • do u have any branches or schools linked in jersey? any recomendations

  • @hurricaneru5793 i live in new jersey. i go to an aikido school, slighty different than ninjutsu, basically same stuff.

  • i like these demonstrations much more than most others ive seen. the attacks are much more fast and looks more realistic

  • Badass beard.

  • Not too bad for a bunch of cosplayers

  • this is preety cool im in jujitsu its all about breaking balance and giving you the upper hand in this martial art where can i learn some of this

  • @SuubUrbanNinja Do you know of any in Australia? NSW pref :)?

  • The demo was great but the kick at 05:12 stopped the motion and you had to restart it to complete the through. The motion is what makes this all possible.

  • @Rainbocolur with all due respect I used way of the winds Ninjutsu techniques against kick boxer, wrestlers, and skilled knife fighers and all have been effective for me both in combat sparing and avoiding conflict.

  • Show me where this works anywhere in the real world.. anyone and make sure its not a demostration. Just show me.

  • @RainboColour you are welcome to visit the dojo and try it 1st hand. Attack as fast as you want and get a 1st hand experience.

  • @SuubUrbanNinja i have full faith in you sir! you truly are a master. to good to bother with these chumps...

  • @SuubUrbanNinja where's the dojo? :)

  • @SuubUrbanNinja don't let that troll question your experience, you're very knowledgeable.

  • @RainboColour

    Good luck bruh! ^_^

Great artists know that it is not the art that defines their success. It's the integrity of self that defines their success in any art. The advantage to this technique is that it is not commonly known and it's deadliness rests in it's innocent look. But if you ever came across a ruthlessness strong practitioner of this deadly art. You'll lose a lot more than your pride; many of the primary moves will cripple a man for a very long time.

  • @RainboColour

I should add that Master Karim is not doing much to show the art in this video. He is merely disrupting the balance of his opponent. There are far more bone crippling applications that can be utilized from many of his positions. But he is teaching the core or any art. Maintaining your balance and disrupting your enemies balance. I don't train in the same art that Master Karim teaches, but I have seen these techniques in the art I train and it's all legit Japanese skill.

  • @RainboColour Can you tell me why you think this would not work?

  • @RainboColour i agree

  • @RainboColour While not a practitioner of this martial art, I have experienced first hand what similar techniques in Aikido are capable of while I trained in that martial art. With limited background in fighting and curious of the "real world" capabilities of some of these methods I was invited by my sensei at the time (who is a 5' nothing woman) to attack her and very quickly discovered two things. First, she was impossible to hit, and second, where the floor was.

  • @RainboColour

my brother has been doing ninjitsu for about 10 years now.. hes a black belt.. i would say in the real world he would kick your ass lmao

  • @RainboColour a lot of people say that the style of martial art that the ninjutsu use is one of most dangerous and useful to know. Krav Maga is another.

  • Were you guys from Bujinkan ?

  • thums up if Sam brought u here

  • I got suspended for doing this to my gym teacher as a joke.

  • I would be so agravated not being able to land an attack.

  • Bro. Karim: Thank you for sharing your expertise and knowlegde with us. I'm always willing to watch and learn from Real Masters at work (Mose Powell, George Logan, Robert Crosson, Master Michael Wong ) and many others. For those of you who doubt this art-get a grip. This thing is real. Notice how Master Karim hand usually ends up on or close to the opponets throat. In a real life situation when the throat or neck is properly hit-well, Lights out nobodys no longer Home. Bro. Michael L. Ellis

  • @michaelellis9777 yes but no body puts there right leg through as the right hand is thrown where would be no power and you would leave yourself wide open ie in this demo

  • @whiteasasheet I disagree. If I person wants to close the distance they step through with their right leg while trying to hit you with their right hand.

  • @SuubUrbanNinja iv had lots of fights in the street and in comps no one punches like that even to close distance unless they fight south paw in all the stand up arts its either south paw or ortherdox you should know that try fight someone from a stand up fighting back ground ie boxer thai boxer etc etc they would throw all pull back ie not leaving yourself wide open to take downs

  • @whiteasasheet your experience is not proof of what everyone else does.

  • @SuubUrbanNinja ok maybe its not but look at the majority of fights on the net ul see no one commit as your students do keep it realistit my friend get some different style fighters down for some sparring and see what works

  • GOD what I'd give to be able to train with Master Karim and that school...

  • dog gone it.What he saids manke so much damn sense.

Ive been thinking like this for ages I just didnt know ninjustsu was the answer.

Tae kwon do is fun and all but I need something that like a ninja turtle.

Cmon thats how we all got got started.lol

  • i like the way you teaching...i think its very spiritual.isnt it?? i am doing japanese martial arts since many years...and in my way its not important to learn many many techniques..its important learn to be a warrior, learn to be relaxed in any situation, learn to die...if thats possible

its a pity my english isnt good enough to understand all your words.

    greets from germany

  • I like his beard, I bet that's where his powers come from.

  • that looks a lot like an aggressive form of aikido

  • I'm a short guy, not very powerful but really interested in martial arts, I hear that Ninjitsu is about using your opponents power against them, is this right? and if so, do you recommend any Dojo's in England?

  • @sycoman999 I would recommend as a first try to look up wing chun, it is a very goo dstyle and also you have (as in any other style) specific weapons that you can use, and all in all it is a very interesting style. But one thing i must state, no style is complete, it is always better to study multiple styles and try to learn what the best part of each style is.

hope this helps! and BTW wing chun is for short and not very strong people

  • Very nice demonstation both in terms of your ability and the style of your tuition. It is very similar to the principles of Aiki Jutsu with which I have some familiarity.

  • Sensei Karim has very fluid movements. He is the most Aikido-like practitioner of Ninpo I've seen yet, and that's a high compliment. A lot of his technique is ultra similar to Aikido, although that really should not surprise me since they are close arts, but in actual practice I usually see very little Aikido Kihon in Ninpo. This is very impresive to me.

  • shit dude, did you go for a walk and find the biggest man you could to be your sparring partner? respect to you and the big man.. im a little white fella from australia and you have shown me you dont need to be huge to be effective. ill be in the usa in july and would to love to drop in if you dont mind..

  • Very insightful explanation of why not to "posture." In addition to the possibility of your opponent recognizing the style, I might add that your stance also reveals your skill level. A sloppy stance will advertise your lack of skill immediately and might even encourage your opponent.

  • Your beard is awesome

  • how would you do against taijiquan?

  • suuburanninja how would you do against taiji?, since taiji is even sneaker

  • For thoose of you who doubt if this works or not. Well it works even better in competition, the sweeps and takedowns that he does are seen in JKA karate, Wkf karate, MMA and all over the place. To do them right takes timing and guts. And they work both defensive and offensive. Very cool!

  • that is good teaching

  • i love to do ninjutsu but too bad nobody teaches in my country .... i have been told that in Japan they dont teach anymore ..... but in Israel they do and im not going to Israel so anyone knows where ?? plz reply

  • Are you affiliated with Ronald Duncan or Loriega?

  • very impressive. this level of skill takes years to perfect and hone.

  • He got mind rape by the same move and then got disrespected every time

  • Ok we are sending the MMA fighters there for some fun!

  • is this taijutsu from your Ninjutsu curriculum thanks in advance for your time and patience

  • Lol going 2 start ninjutsu next week

  • i dont have much experience of ninjutsu but this looks alot like aikido

  • I love the suit sensei! It looks so cool!

  • Very well explained,fantastic Kuzushi,thankyou for shareing.Regards.

  • what are your times of classes and price range?

  • damyummm tht dudes got skills

  • I love the way of defending, it would be safer on streets if You knew how to use it

  • oww that fall looked like it hurt

  • Not a bad demo. Against boxing the rules change of course but it's not hard to incorporate boxing into a training regime to make these concepts work then also.

  • This dude would be so cool to train with

  • Master Ali A. Karim makes a very good point on not revealing yourself to your opponent. That in itself in Ninjutsu. Very nice video.

  • i like the fact that all the techniques that this guy is using give you the chance to escape the situation........

  • Black Ninja! xD

  • @fightluv Brooklyn ,NY

  • JEET KUNE DO=WAY OF THE INTERCEPTING FIST. Bruce Lee would've Anihalated ANY NINJA. He was the Ninja of all Ninjas... PAHAHAHAHAHA! I love this stuff!!! "SEDUCE OVERCONFIDENCE IN YOUR OPPONENT" I am convinced that this guy knows what he is talking about...

  • @BEZCORE Looks like he seduced overconfidence in you.

  • My mind was widened when you said "there is no opponent". It give me a much more confident mindset in my abilities. It gives me the feeling like I'm, dare I say it, "a shadow". Thank you sir.

  • I was curious to know, does Ninjutsu have forms or kata? Or is it more just short techniques that they learn a practice? Thanks much

  • I really enjoy Ali's teaching style and I get a lot from watching him but I have never seen any of this work outside the cooperation of a dojo, not just his dojo.

Yes, they are good examples of what could be done but when it comes to actually doing it...I tend to not feel most strikes when I have something to accomplish, this must also be true for an opponent.

I prefer to stop whoever it is in their tracks without anything too fancy.

    thanks.

  • Very nice I am quite impressed, you have an excellent grasp of martial arts. I hope to meet you one day

  • does that guy knows how to kick? why does he attacks the same way over and over again. And ended lying on the ground. In the real life scenario things go worst before you expect it. I agree with your principle, but what if after a argument with someone he pulls up a gun and aims right before your head, does the principle of staying calm applies? hehehe

  • 60 people could not intercept the attack

  • I take Ninpo in Baltimore...this is the first time I really see a Black Man getting the real essence of Ninpo..or Ninjitsu. I would love to train with him...He's hitting you with mad Henka's.

  • wow

  • 5:10 is the coolest one.
