  • I had seen this video over a month ago. Does not belong to uploader.

  • It has an elevated notch on the tip that causes it to shift each rotation. It's a cool concept but the drill will wear out extremely fast due to all of the friction from the shifting around.

  • ok, but why?

  • What the fuck Reddit?

  • Reddit sent me.

  • Drilling square holes - difficulty: Asian.

  • @Zalintroductions grow up, asshole.

  • @BobMillahhh ok im the immature one. you are the one calling peaple you do not even know on the internet asswholes. thats low.

  • @ilpyrofreak1994 I think you mean "karma" whore. And this is youtube, not reddit. Wait, shit this IS youtube... I don't know what to do here... um... erm.... uhh.....

Thumbs up if bacon is delicious.

  • reminds me of a rotary engine

  • so.. do u have to drill pilot holes first????????

  • god damn the chinese

  • I have the weirdest and squarest boner right now.

  • SORCERY! BURN THE WITCHES!

  • I want that shape/motion as tires on my car.

  • They've had these things for years.

  • MR. SPARKLE

  • Whats going on in japan: some crazy shit...

  • watching that, i notice the wobble induced to the chuck from the force of the bit cut. that would destroy it in short order

  • I find it entertaining that after about 15 minutes of searching this is the first video I've found of it actually in use, everything else is computer rendered simulations, and proof of concept using a "pre-drilled" hole and showing the bit just moving around inside the hole

  • That's great. Can you put a round peg in it?

  • fuckin japanese do everything

  • It does more than a barrel roll ! ! ! !

  • @tmanran It did a cube roll!!(???????)

  • No need for spark erosion any more.

  • Thumps up if Adam sent you!!!

  • @siggeskater ken sent me.

  • Thumbs up if you came here via Adam's tweet.

  • the bit may be expensive, but not nearly as much as as 4 axis mill.

  • Well that's one myth, Adam and Jamie can't bring to their show.

  • The drill rotates around two axes, really smart

  • Yeah but just look as the monstrosity that has to drive that chuck. Those bits are gonna be very rare and expensive, too.

  • Well, time to nuke Japan again. They've discovered witchcraft.

  • But can it drill a rhombus?

  • circle + triangle = square? makes sense to me

  • @IceLordCryo its called "asian"

  • @IceLordCryo The triangle doesn't have the same axis as the circle, it's slightly off, making this possible. Quote cool actually.

  • HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!? SWEET JESUS I JUST DONT UNDERST *slowmo* oh neat!

  • It's like a rotary...but for drilling.

  • ADAM

WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME

    MY BRAIN... IT HURTS

  • @1HumanKind And why is it fake?

  • I want one. I don't know what I would do with it other than drilling square holes, but I want one.

  • This shat is wack!!!1

  • Wadsworth constant applies

  • this is against nature

  • There's some interesting math in that video....

  • @1970zona I wish I was good enough at math to make statements like this lol.

  • my dad always said to me fitting me into society was like fitting a square into a circle hole,

    WELL... HA HA HA HA!

  • Cool ... but where do i get squred screws?

  • Now someone needs to invent square screws.

  • WHAT SORCERY IS THIS

  • DO WANT

  • Japanese technology... of course.

  • @yamaguto

Wrong, friend. Like the other ingenious inventions involved, such as: the electric drill, the electric motor, extruded wire, aluminum alloys, transistor-based robotics, not to mention mass electrical service and the hydroelectric dam or the nuclear reactor that supplies it, this square drill bit was invented by a WHITE man. Harry Watts patented this particular bit type 1917.

  • Hooray for science!

  • BID DEAL ! SO FUCKING WHAT

  • Minecraft drill.

  • Rouleaux triangle wiki: read it

  • 1 person is Christian and thinks the bit should be burned at the stake.

  • A rollo!

  • @yoshinibble123 Two different bits that make square holes though this one works better.

  • The Wadsworth Constant applies here as well.

  • fucking drill press, how does it work?

  • when will this attachment be available for my dremel ?

I believe it would do nicely with my future trepanation project.

  • you think this is real? this is al by the government come on wake up sheeple.

  • @lost4468yt You're a moron.

  • @inlinevoid ure a sheep followin the government

  • @lost4468yt You're a worthless waste of space that can't spell properly.

  • @inlinevoid keep following the government and suckin their dick cuz u love it so much u dont even care they lie 2 you all the time wake up u sheep

  • @thestuffz - not even close to a drill bit. It is a triangle shaped endmill with a wobble collet that creates precise parabolic offsets throughout the rotation.

  • News just in, it's hip to be square. Even engineers are doing it.

  • Mamutstube: *trollface.jpg*

    Us: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • You can't fit a square peg in a square h... Oh wait.

  • NOW if they could just make one that drills ROUND holes! Oh, oh yeah wait we already have that. Sorry.

  • its just a rotary drill bit..

  • If you put that bit in a hand drill it would break your wrist and try to kill you. This is a drill press/mill bit only.

  • I can finally make keyways!

  • Genius...

  • Offset collet!

  • it's pure magic!

  • Now square screws? =p

  • I just had a toolgasm.

  • @hickmachine

    You 'nailed' that joke.

  • @SpartanM622 I 'saw' that one coming

  • @SpartanM622 *facepalm through head*

  • @hickmachine

    me to :D lol
