No military was not used to arrest people. The military didn't even have weapons. They just walked around and acted as observers and the the the act that you talk about doesn't apply to the protection of international diplomats. The military didn't have handcuffs because they were not there as law enforcers. They took the guy to the police .

No military was not used to arrest people. The military didn't even have weapons. They just walked around and acted as observers and the the the act that you talk about doesn't apply to the protection of international diplomats. If there weren't so many foreign dignitaries the military wouldn't be there. The video you speak of is of a guy being arrested for breaking windows. The military didn't have handcuffs because they were not there as law enforcers. They took the guy to the police .

well I understand that but police provoking people isn't 100% bad. Sometimes police officers are in a position where they feel if they leave that a situation will escalate for the worse. Everyone one new that the protesters were going to riot if the police didn't establish a heavy presence. The police aren't there to be there friends. They may of been harsh When arresting people but the people there had ample opportunity to get permits and behave but once property is destroyed police must act.

yes some of the protesters did have permits but since the protesters that did have permits and the ones that didn't were all in the same area it was impossible for the police to determine who has legit and who wasn't. Besides the police would of been completely legal if they arrested people for wearing mask because it isAPittsburghOrdinance that mask cant be worn during protests but the police didnt enforce it. I have a handgun permit and it is legal in the state of Pennsylvania to carry a holstered gun "Un" concealed that is on the outside of her pants and you may do so without permit provided you don't bring it into a bar store or entertainment event. Tell that to the victims of the communist purges, which outnumber capitalist war casualties. (70m between Mao and Stalin) Freedom from capitalism only comes from freedom from human nature which only comes with enlightenment which is something that can take an individual a lifetime to achieve. Completely impractical as a form of government or economy. People are always going to break the system, it just happen to be far easier with communism.

Can you show me a successful Communist then? But my point about those purges is correct, even if you are trying to argue against it after disassociating it from communism, and the idea of state property. Permanent revolution is lie, they never even change party leaders.

First of all, using the term "communist" and applying it to any country between 1917 and the present is very incorrect, and will make you appear ignorant before debating anyone on the left. Communism is a STATELESS and CLASSLESS society. Theres little doubt that the USSR wasn't stateless, what with the soul crushing party bureaucracy and all, and it certainly wasn't classless, the intelligentsia effectively were the new bourgeoisie. These countries were only ever called communists by westerners

To look for "successful" communism you have to mostly look to before Lenin dissolved the soviet workers-councils in an emergency move to save the revolution from the invading white army. The problem we've historically had with communism, is that we've never had a sterile environment to build a socialist or communist nation in. We've always had to deal with imperialist and fascist nations pillaging us. My favorite *communist* (it was literally classless and stateless) was catalonia in the 1920s

Well, historically speaking, the world hasn't been sterile. Laboratories are, you should try it there. Don't blame the world for communism failing. Blame communism for communism failing. Just like these people are blaming capitalism for capitalism failing.

What about China? A lot of the starvation was due to idiotic planning (killing off the crows comes to mind) and natural famine. China also followed the USSR model of centralizing and removing the power from workers councils

Actually, I couldn't really answer that question as I don't know much about Maoism or Chinese history. I don't know what effects the Japanese invasion and the aftermath of world war II had on the development of socialism in that country. I just know that they mimicked soviet policy up into the soviet-sino split.

Communism is a stateess, classless society. The "New World Order", if you will, is pretty much the complete opposite, for it's global dominionism through political, and economic imperialism. It is essentially corporatism; the inevitable result of a decaying capitalist market.

Communism INEVITABLY leads to suffering because it doesn't allow for personal greed or human nature. They force scientific ideas (social and genetic) on their people (purges, anyone?). The only reason these bankers were allowed to do this, is because they hi-jacked the representative-republican system, AND BROKE THE LAW. At least in the current system, anyone can become a banker if they work hard enough, and befriend the right people. It's actually more difficult to corrupt a capitalist gov't.

You really know nothing about communism, instead you're suggesting that communism, despite it's many different forms, is what was seen in the USSR; it's not. Communism is a STATELESS society where the workers democratically manage their workplaces themselves. The best example of this would be Anarchist Catalonia in Spain during the 1936 Spanish Revolution.
Do some research into anarcho-communism, or read the ABCs of Anarchism by Alexander Berkman, it will refute all of your arguements.

The clashes that took place during the Barcelona May Days we're between the anarchists and Marxists on one side, and the Soviet-backed "communist:" forces on the other. Anarchism, as Marxshmallow pointed out, has been a socialist theory since it's creation. The ideas are not oppossed at all, communism is not the belief that the government should run everything, it is the belief the people themselves should run everything; it is a stateless, classless society.

Well ideally, that's how it would play out. I'm a Libertarian. So the ideas are similar. Mine are based less on fantasy, though. (Classes emerge - it's the human condition, and human nature) For instance, I believe in representative democracy over absolute democracy, and state protected rights, so 49% of the population aren't slaves to the other 51%. Are there any communist bills of rights? That is a genuine question, I'm honestly curious.

That's how it played out in Catalonia for three years. Classes emerge from a society where domination exists through hiearchial organization. If you eliminate that which defines class, money, you can eliminate classes altogether. If you're truly intrested, you should take a look at the ABCs of Anarchism by Alexander Berkman, it explains the basics and refutes myths about anarchist communism, and can also be found on the internet for free.

Yeah, but classes emerge in everything. They money class is simply the most dominant. In capitalism, there will always be better capitalists, in communism, there will always be better communists. Government in the one thing that protects the rights of the people, but as a side effect maintains a ruling class. It's human nature, there are hierarchies in everything, people are always going to want to impress or emulate their perceived betters.

nothing will happen, militant socialists in the UK always say their gonna "re-claim" the streets and all that happens is they turn up in London, shout a few things, smash a few windows and then go home. Then they put the videos they recorded with their capitalist mobile phones onto their capitalist computer and download them onto youtube. Hardly the stuff of revolution. Classwar, antifa and the rest are fuck all. Always have and always will be.
