You're such a hero aren't ya.I'm pretty sure they weren't red bellies they look more like a couple of small eyed snakes cryptophis nigrescens.You do realise that 95% of people get bitten while trying to catch or kill a snake,but good on ya for not killing it.In future leave it up to the pros hey kiddo
@MySnake79 that was my first guess too actually because of their size and all, the last snake i picked up was a small eye about 10 years ago, its not a common occurrence by any means. cheers for the care factor mate :)
