Many scholars said "Mawlid is a good INNOVATION" like Ibn Hajar, Suytiy, Ibn Duhiya and many others, but wahhabis are misled.

Imam ^Umar initiated the gathering of people in Ramadan to pray the Tarawih Prayer in congregation. When he saw the people performing this prayer in congregation he said:

نِعْمَت البِدعَةُ هَذِه "What a good bid^ah (innovation) that is!"

^Umar used the explicit term البِدعَةُ "innovation" in his praise. If all innovations were misguided--as some claim--^Umar would not have innovated this practice, nor expressed this praise, yet both al-Bukhariyy and Muslim related this incident.

We do things today that the Prophet and Sahabah did not do. We read Qur'an with dots harakat, which were added to the Qur'an by Yahya bin Ya^mur from Tabi^een. This is a good innovation, same as Mawlid. It's thanking Allah for sending our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. But wahhabis are ignorant.

I dont call Mawlid as Bidah. Watching television and Using the internet or doing other stuff are as considered Bidah. The Wahabis are just trying to confuse us. Not all sufis follow true sufism, many sufi claimers today have ignorance. But making tawassul (Asking Allah by (bijah) the Prophet) is permissible in Islam and taught by the Prophet. Ibn Omar when his foot was paralyzed he called out "Ya Muhammad" and was cured, and our master Khaled bin al-Walid's slogan was "Ya Muhammadah" when he fought Musaylimah the liaer as narrated by at-Tabariy and others.

Imam Omar innovated praying taraweeh in congregation and said: نعمة البدعة هذه "What a praised bid^ah that is". So does that mean Imam Omar did an evil innovation?

Imam Othman innovated second adhan. Khubayb innovated praying 2 rak^ah before death. The Tabi^iy Yahya bin ya^mur innovated adding dots to the Qur'an!! are they all in hell?? Of course not!! Only ignorant wahhabis would think so.

Mawlid is dhikr, quran, and praising the Prophet. Is that forbidden? NO.

The hadith "Kullu Bid^atin Dalalah" does not mean every single innovation, rather it means most, just as another hadith "Kullu ^aynin zaniah" means most eyes commit the sin of the forbidden look, and we know that because Prophets, angels don't commit such sin. And this is called "^Am Makhsoos" in the arabic as Imam an-Nawawiy said.

The great hafidh Ibn Duhya, the Great Amirul-Mu'mineen in Hadith Ibn Hajar, Imam as-Sakhawiy, Hafidh Ibn Rajab al-Hanbaliy, Hafidh as-Suyutiy, Hafidh al-^iraqiy, Abu Nu^aym al-'Asbahaniy, Muhammad bakhit al-Muti^iy, al-Munawiy, al-Barzanjiy, Mustafa Naja, and other great scholars said that Mawlid is a good and rewardable act. And all Ummah do it, and all cannot be wrong.

What is Mawlid? Reciting Qur'an, reading the Prophet's birth story and his life and call to Islam, praising him, and feeding the people for the sake of Allah. All of this is approved in alsunna even if it was on a fixed day, for our Prophet urged us to fast ^Ashura' every year thanking Allah for saving Prophet Moses.

Also Imam Muslim related, through the route of Jarir Ibn ^Abdullah, the Prophet said what means: "The one who innovates a good innovation in Islam has its reward and a reward similar to those who follow him in it--until the Day of Judgment--without lessening their reward. The one who innovates an innovation of misguidance would be sinful for it and has sins similar to those who follow him in it--until the Day of Judgment--without lessening their sins."

Wrong. Adding dots to the Quran is not something easy, but a scholar did it because it complies with our religion. And so is adding second adhan, mihrabs, taraweeh in jama^ah, praying sunnah before death by khubayb, and others such as Masbaha and Mawlid.

The Prophet did approve of the mawlid acts. How? He said when asked why do you fast Mondays: "In that day I was born".

Adding dots on al-Qur'an was innovated after the companions by Yahya bin Ya^mur, all scholars approved that good bid^ah.

The first to start al-Mawlid was a pious sunni ruler named al-Mudhaffar. He invited the scholars and rich and poor to the Mawlid and they all approved it.

Imam Ibn Hajar and as-Suyutiy among many others approved it as well and said it's a rewardable and good way to thank Allah for sending Prophet Muhammad.

There are many things that the Prophet did not do but the companions innovated which are considered as good bid^ah such as the second adhan, the Mihrabs, the dots on the Qur'an letters, the taraweeh in jama^ah which the our Master Omar said about it "What a good bid^ah that is".

The innovation is weighed by Sharia, if it complies with Qur'an and Sunnah than it's a good bid^ah, and so is Mawlid.

May Allah reward you brother. The dream was mentioned yes, but it's NOT true that the torture for Abul Lahab will be changed because Allah said in al-Qur'an {La Yukhaffafu ^anhum min ^adhabiha} so scholars said that dream cannot be used as a fact that is against al-Qur'an.

The true story is that Allah forgave for Prophet Adam by the virtue (tawassul bijah) our beloved Prophet and on the day of Judgment he will have the grand shafa^ah.

To celebrate the birth of the Prophet by doing rewardable deeds-- that can be done on any day of the year--is considered an innovated practice because this was not done at the time of the Prophet.

Although this innovation was praised by the Muslim scholars of Islam, some people consider any innovation an innovation of misguidance.

Those who consider any innovation an innovation of misguidance have been misled, because there are two sahih hadiths which support celebrating such an event.

Imam al-Bukhariy mentioned the story, but he does not accept the claim that "Abu Lahab's torture will be reduced on Mondays". Why? Because a dream does not rule.

How could that be the case when Allah mentioned clearly in al-Qur'an that [Torture will not be lessened on the Kuffar]! the Ayah is clear enough.

Let us praise the Prophet in describing how great he was and how by him and his virtue Allah forgave Adam, those are such true stories.

Some kuffar have torture less then others yes. And the least tortue is for Abu Talib, which is a hot coal under his foot. But the torture will not be reduced.

That stroy is very popular, and some people thought just because al-^Abbas saw it, then it must be true that Abu Lahab's torture on Mondays will be less, BUT IT'S NOT TRUE :)

Before the birth of the Holy Prophet (saw), his father, Hadrat Abdullah (rad) had already died, so a lady slave called Thwaiba was sent to Hadrat Aminahs house for her help and service. Upon the birth of the Holy Prophet (saw) Thwaiba came running to Abu Lahab, the Prophets (saw) uncle, to give the good news of the birth of his nephew.

Dear brother, I know that story. It's just a dream. It is NOT true that Abu Lahb's torture will be reduced while in hellfire. Why? because Allah said in al-Qur'an:

{ولا يخفف عنهم من عذابها}

This ayah in surat Fatir means: [The torture in hellfire will not be reduced on kuffar]. So the torture will not be reduced on the kuffar. So that story cannot be accepted that Allah will make less torture on Abu Lahab every Monday! Because it belies the ayah we mentioned.

What is Mawlid?

- Mawlid is a time where Muslims (not wahhabis) rejoice in commemorating the birth of best of mankind, and talk about the mercies of Allah for sending Prophet Muhammad.

What happens in mawlid?

- Recite Qur'an.

- Praise Allah, and the Prophet and not exaggerate

- Teach the people about his life.

- Feed the people, rich and poor

Did the Prophet do it?

- He did not say don't do it! Rather he fasted Monday and said:"That's a day on which I was born"

- All Muslims celebrate Mawlid which was first made by al-Mudhaffar Hakim Irbil who was a great generous Muslim leader.

If wahhabis told you that mawlid is shirk or bid3ah, tell them I have a simple proof that I can show that in 2 steps:

1- All Muslims (Hundreds of Millions of Ahlus-Sunnah) today, they celebrate Mawlid, they visit the Prophet's grave, and the grave of pious people, and they recite al-Qur'an for them, and they ask Allah by the virtue of the Prophet so that Allah fulfills their needs.

2. and since all majority of Muslims do this, the Prophet said

"لا يجمع الله أمتي على ضلالة"

The basis for commemorating honorable events repeatedly every year is evidenced in the Sunnah of the Prophet. As related by al-Bukhariyy, when the Prophet emigrated to al-Madinah he found the Jews fasting, so he asked them why they fasted on the 10th of Muharram (Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar).

They told the Prophet they do so to commemorate the day Allah saved Prophet Moses (Musa) and the Tribes of Israel (Isra'il) from the tyranny of the Pharaoh. It was revealed to the Prophet what the Jews said was true, so Prophet Muhammad told them: "We are more deserving of Moses (Musa) than you." He said this because Prophet Moses (Musa) was Muslim. Prophet Muhammad ordered the Muslims to fast the 9th and 10th of Muharram, and this Sunnah is still practiced today.

The thing about Mawlid is very interesting some people see it as "How can something that unites Muslims and is good and we mention Allah in out actions be bad".The thing is its not!!! لم ينكر أحد من علماء أهل السنة أن المولد بدعة فاسدة. وابن حجر استحسنه وكذا السيوطي وغيرهم من أئمة الاسلام. كفى.

الخلفاء عظموا رسول الله أكثر منا ونشروا علمه. والمولد هو تعظيم النبي ونشر علمه صلى الله عليه وسلم. ليذهب الوهابية التكفيرية لتعلم معنى "البدعة" ثم يأتوا ليكتشفوا أنهم هم يفعلون "البدعة" الحسنة كصلاة التراويح جماعة وتنقيط المصحف وغيره لم يفعله الرسول ولا الصحابة.

وكم من أشياء يعملونها لم يفعلها الرسول، من ذلك عمل المحاريب للمساجد، فالرسول ما عمل محرابا لمسجده بل عمل لمسجده محراب بعد تسعين عاما، والقرءان الكريم ما كان فيه همزة وشدّة، المصحف ما كان فيه همزة ولا شدّة أي الصحابة ما عملوا، كما أملى عليهم الرسول كتبوا بدون همزة ولا شدّة، ولا أشياء من هذا القبيل بل كانت المصاحف مجرّدة، الصحابة على هذا الوجه كتبوها.

ثم بعض العلماء الأتقياء عمل هذه الأشياء التنقيط والتشكيل والشدة والهمزة، وهذه لا ينكرها هؤلاء، أما عمل المولد ينكرون بدون دليل.

من مئات السنين جرت عادة المسلمين على الاحتفال بمولد النبيّ في هذا الشهر وأول من عمله هو الملك المظفر ودعا خلقا كثيرا من العلماء، ورجال الدولة وغيرهم فأعجب الكل.

فوافق عليه العلماء والفقهاء، ولم يزل ذلك معمولا به إلى هذا العصر، وكان من أشد النّاس عناية به أهل مكة والمدينة وأهل مصر.

وهذا لا ينكره ذو فهم بالدين لأنّ الرسول عليه السلام قال: "من سنّ في الإسلام سنّة حسنة فله أجرها وأجر من عمل بها بعده". عملا بهذا الحديث نعمل هذا الاحتفال. وذلك الملك الذي هو أول من عمله نرجو له من الله أجرا كبيرا لأنه طبق هذا الحديث.

وليس كما يزعمه بعض الناس، إن هذه بدعة قبيحة وليس عند هؤلاء حجّة، سوى قولهم ما فعله الرسول، ما فعله الصحابة.

الفرح به صلّى الله عليه وسلّم مطلوب بأمر القرآن من قوله تعالى ( قل بفضل الله وبرحمته فبذلك فليفرحوا ) فالله تعالى أمرنا أن نفرح بالرحمة ، والنبي صلّى الله عليه وسلّم أعظم الرحمة ، قال الله تعالى ( وما أرسلناك إلا رحمة للعالمين ) .

وللحافظ السيوطي رسالة سماها "حسن المقصد في عمل المولد"، قال: "فقد وقع السؤال عن عمل المولد النبوي في شهر ربيع الأول ما حكمه من حيث الشرع؟ وهل هو محمود أو مذموم؟ وهل يثاب فاعله أو لا؟ والجواب عندي: أن أصل عمل المولد الذي هو اجتماع الناس، وقراءة ما تيسر من القرءان، ورواية الأخبار الواردة في مبدإ أمر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وما وقع في مولده من الآيات ثم يمد لهم سماط يأكلونه وينصرفون من غير زيادة على ذلك هو من البدع الحسنة.."

ويذكر سبط ابن الجوزي في مرءاة الزمان أنه كان يحضر عنده في المولد أعيان العلماء والصوفية.

فبعد هذا كيف يتجرأ الوهابية المجسمة على تضليل مئات الملايين من المسلمين لأنهم يحتفلون بولادة حبيبهم محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم!!؟؟ الوهابية دوما يضللون المسلمين وهم خرقوا اجماع الأمة والنبي يقول: "لا يجمع الله أمتي على ضلالة".

ذكر الحافظ السخاوي في فتاويه أن عمل المولد حدث بعد القرون الثلاثة، ثم لا زال أهل الإسلام من سائر الأقطار في المدن الكبار يعملون المولد ويتصدقون في لياليه بأنواع الصدقات، ويعتنون بقراءة مولده الكريم، ويظهر عليهم من بركاته كل فضل عميم.
