I wish he would play Chopin on his conzerts!!! Why he dont do it ? I think Chopins musik fit to , ok it's not really right to say that musik is fit to something, but I dont find right word to express my thoughts...so, if I listen to Chopins mazurcas I see pictures in my head, picturs with snow, snow flakes are falling, no they are dancing, from heaven, all tree tops, all house roofs...all..all scenery covers with snow....so, one can listen to silence everywhere ..its really beautiful
You're absolutely true that there are a lot of different interpretations and I think that is richness in the musical world. My argument about Mr. Anderszewski was perhaps a little arrogant and I apologise for that but I simply expressed my justified opinion... Have a good day!!
This polonaise was absolutely terrible! I mean, it is marked Allegro maestoso, not Moderato or Andante maestoso, where is the flare and excitement??? He pulls artificially back every melodic note and the result is like in a slow-motion movie and it really gets tiring to hear this after a while. He is not in the league of great pianists.
You Kalkula, I heard this piece , this WONDERFUL , EXPLOSIV piece by palying of Horowitz, Rubinstain, Richter and Argerich, I just can say the interpretion by PIOTR is the best. He makes it by such incredible way, by the RIGHT way, I just can fill Chopin would play it so!
you know, to hate some musik piece by Chopin is not posible. It is somethig I cannn´t understand. The hatred is a to strong feeling. You mean maybe yo don´t like it. Okay. It´s quiet differend. His interpretation is diferend as a from Richter, Rubinstain or Horowitz. I got today a CD with Kissin´s Chopin..so, just want to compare...I think, there´re so much pianists therefore there´re so much iterpretations!!!
Penso que vi o filme mencionado por arwena55, porque minha impressão foi exatamente a mesma. I agree with her "in totum!"!!! Great musician and great personality!
Wonderful pianist and personality, I saw a movie about him yesterday, I am delighted, what a personality, so interesting, so sensitive, so creative, wonderful, bravo!!!

It's a matter of taste of course. You love it, I hate it, that's fair enough:)

Piotr has an unsurpassed touch, making wonderful music. He should be much better known.
Only Ingrid Fliter comes near in the quality of her touch. It's like making love - it's all in the quality of the touch.
Argerich is brilliant, but in a totally different, wildly exciting way.
