Peer Raben was a gifted composer. Berlin Alexander score is one of the most beautiful and emotional scores I´ve ever heard, it reflects the sad and hopeless atmosphere of the main character (Franz Biberkopf) and its environment , a country and its society devastated by a war but soon destroyed again by another war, a place that was no place for a men who desired to straight his life. .
