  • Faggot below my name

  • cool that awesome!!! i always wonder how do that, i got beautiful draw but mean i have to buy tool and etc aslo er is that glass ?

can you make one of my fav for my draw becuase i want my pc case mod on fix my case nzxt.

  • Hey, nice video. Can you provide me with a link to the blue light you used inside your case?

  • sooo is it normal to spend 20$ on the heads for one mod?

  • i would replace those hand tools with dremel grinding bits. for example aluminium oxide stone those are found in many shapes and sizes so they'll fit in those little holes and sharp curves too. ( With those remember not to push too much aluminium oxide is pretty soft and will wear out in seconds if you push it too much into sharp edge... at least in china copies of dremel ;) just bought my first real dremel after third china copy starting to melt/smoking/firing while cutting/grinding metal)

  • Very high quality set of vids, awesome man!

  • Definitely gonna need to get a dremel for cable management on my new build...Antec 900 case has terrible management, awesome cooling.

  • you have AWESOME work tops.

  • nice video.

  • isn't it better to cut from the inside of the panel so you won't see the paint of the case has come off?

  • as it is called the logo?

  • this helped me a lot.,. what kind of plexi glass should i use for xbox's?

Getting my first Dremel soon and then I'll start some real modding :D

  • amazing! just a Dremel

  • do you ship on europe(greece)?

  • @schabadas1 nai pantou

  • @MonsterMawd como dices que se llama el aro de plastico..? (1:33)

  • @Cronos477 "U-channel molding"

  • @SuperSpunky00 Gracias

  • I saw you use a black n decker rotary tool. Is it pretty much the same and can get the job done?

  • Thanks for this. I've been trying to use a Dremel to cut long, skinny channels into a panel for slider controls. No luck; the cutting wheel likes to dance all over the place and I can't get a decent, straight cut. Now I know what kind of cut-off wheel to use; to engrave first, then cut; to rest the wheel gently on the surface; to NOT try cutting straight across; to rest my arms on a wide stable surface and use both hands... I think I can finally do this. Will try again tonight.

  • i love the logo but i cant find it any were can you help?

  • Wouldnt it be better to use a jig saw to cut the circle???????

  • Thanks for some awesome tips!

  • Man, I love legos. And computers!

    You are my soul mate.

  • Very impressive work with a cutting wheel bit. Have you ever considered using the scroll saw attachment for cutting out shapes more easily?

  • Sweet video man it is cool, i took the skull design i couldnt find any bigger image than what u have in this video soo i traced over it :P with an old cd case and it came out Perfect!

  • Great precise tutorial, now to get my dremel on.

  • OMg..The working table is amazing did you "mod" it yourself? If yes how?Would you make a tutorial about that ..Thanks Love case modding...

  • dremel master ^^

Thank you for a great tip

  • i want that logo whwere you find it?

  • Thx for the guide. I will make a window on my case now with my dremel 4000 :D but just a standar window, not a circle..

  • that used in the minute 1:28 to cover the borders of cutting?

  • thinking aboute trying this but i was thinking of useing window tinting for the picture design rather than metal

  • That is some nice work dude, well done!

  • Im going to put a window in the bonnet of my car :P

  • Hi

On my next computer build I will mod the case and I have a question. Do mods like this always leave that white outline like in the first video? Can those be sanded out so you get a perfectly black edge?

    Great videos by the way.

  • @mu51im

    it's bare metal

  • can i buy a custom case and just put my hardware in it ?

  • Very nice

  • very nice.

  • What was the plastic in this video called?

  • What's that Lego thing you used called?

  • What dremel is that? i do xbox 360 case modding and the one i use just isnt doing it anymore

  • I wonder what it would've looked like if you could get some of that edging on the cutout logo thing.

  • Nice Tips!! I was looking for custom Fan covers and saw your video! I think I can definitely make a custom fan cover using this technique intead of using the grills for cases that have a ton of fan holes like the Danger Den Acrylic Cases! mad props! very nice...

  • amazing thnx

  • NICEEEEEE

  • nice work there,i want to mod my pc case and i wonder if u can give me some links for some awesome simple logos to attach on the panel, keep do the awesome work :Dsee you later

  • i like your video style ! it is nice and slow .... you talk and show a sample so its easier to follow ! keep up the great work :)

  • Was this made for a LEGO fan or are you the Lego Fan? :D

  • @TheToxicVirus, Yes, and I also like LEGOS, Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • cool. i cas thinking about doing this to my 360

  • Gosh - Do you realize the brilliance of this tutorial is overshadowed by that insanely sick table the Thermaltake was on?? That's unreal!

  • thanks for the tips, awesome video.

    greetings from Brazil. :P

  • What number of disc you would use to cut office cosmos

    thanks

  • This is fantastic and very healpful for me and I think not only for me.

  • hey dude i am modding my xbox right now lol this has got to be the best vid i have seen to cut nice one m8

  • nice my xbox is getting butchered :D

  • Interesting approach, the design and implementation screams keep it simple stupid, your technique is simple and effective. Thank you for this insight

  • Thank you!!

The tips, though not what I'm going to use it for, a fare superior to what I've learned so far! :-)

    thanks again!!!

    Peace...

    - Thomas

  • Thanks for the tutorial it helps he out alot

  • thank you I have been looking for a good modding vid on how to cut the window out for a super long time thank you sooo much for this God bless you!!!

  • Awesome, thanks for the video guys. I'm thinking about adding a window to my P180, but don't have a jigsaw to use (or anyone to borrow one from). This video now confirms my hopes of using a dremel to cut out the design for my window. Keep up the great work!

  • @VincentBProductions The plexi is engraved from one side and then has a color tin foil on the back I think. Unless you have a CNC or something I really dont think that you can do it at home. Another option would be search ebay for a company that does it and then just pay someone else to do it and tell them the design that you would want on it and go that route.

  • @VincentBProductions Ya but you cant get everything out. That dust and crap will make it overheat easier to. But its your case mod man. I'm just trying to tell you stuff that I wouldn't do.

  • @VincentBProductions Whatever you do make sure you dont have the side of the case open on your 360 because if you do it will just get that much more dust in it. Dust and other crap is bad. Good luck

  • @VincentBProductions Coats of paint on mine plust like 2 or 3 coats of clear coat. Turned out pretty nice. Try going to google image or something and either search xbox's or search designs of some sort. Personally I think the apple symbol on the entire side of it would be pretty hilarious but thats just me. :)

  • @VincentBProductions I guess it depends on what kind of things your into. I dont know you or what games you like so its hard for me to say something that you would like. I think just a random design that I drew up worked well for me. Doing the LED's in it look pretty sharp to. You can buy them on ebay for VERY cheap. Only thing with those is there very small and hard to sodder. I used the Krylon Fusion paint. But be careful it takes a couple days to cure. Well mine did I put about 4

  • @VincentBProductions Just to let you know...Dremeling the plastic is kinda hard because with mine it kept trying to melt the plastic instead of cut it. So be cautious and try it out in the middle of a piece your cutting out first. Good luck.

  • @VincentBProductions Make sure you post a video or some pics of it for all of us to see..

  • is the plexiglass cut in any way? or just stuck to the side panel as a small square?

  • nice vid . itll help me out on my 360 case

  • really good vid, you answered all the questions i could possibly ask in the vid, just as they popped into my head :D

  • Beautiful finished product!!

  • must... has... dremel...

  • Thanks for the videos. I think i can actually attempt at custom designing a case for my xbox. or at least i think i can lol. i always mess things up so i guess i better get 2 xbox's.

  • y love MonsterMawd good tutorial man : )

  • were did you get the blue lights from because i really need some

  • @GameGuide728 LED's are better man or SMD's

  • Looks nice :]

  • To be honest. I was more interested in your table top.

Thats a beautiful piece of work ! And your using it as a Work Station ! ARE YOU MENTAL ! ?

Is that a more of your own handy work ? Coz. WOW !

Had to watch twice, to try and gauge more detail.

    Top Dog.

  • Awesome tutorials! Very thorough. =D

  • try a scroll saw with metal blade to cut your logo

  • you have girl hands o.O

  • Dude this is sick! :D I love it, and i cant wait to get my brand new dremel!

  • love the review and the symbol but...

unless you have a brother or son wats up with all the nerdy shit

  • YOu've got some skills!

  • awesome i love it!!!

  • I'm building a custom PC case right now out of an old beige box I found in a back lane near my place. I'm using some of your techniques to cut a custom window and some fan routs, so I'll link you the video when its done!

    Thanks for the tips!

  • I'm about to try my first case mod and I've learned a lot watching this! Very, very helpful.

  • These videos are awesome, I always wanted to personalize my computer case but never knew how to do it, I am learning a lot! :)

  • Hey monstermawd, I got my 360 done and its on my channel. You should check it out if you get a chance. Not quite as nice as the stuff you do but it'll do...:) I dremeled out the whole case and the dvd tray of the 360. Thanks again. :)

  • Does the U channel molding make it difficult to stick the plexy window on? Doesn't it create some space between the window and the case siding where you'll be using the adhesives?

  • Yes, u-channel is just to cover up edges, Thank you for watching and commenting :)

  • Cool...can I use silicone instead of tape to stick the figure?

  • @herbdell i guedss youcan, but it will be harder to get the figure off (if at all)

  • Yes, if you wish... Thank you for watching and commenting :)

  • Legos rule

  • Agreed, "Secret Agents!" Thank you for watching and commenting :)

  • Thank you for this guide, I'm starting to mod my pc case, and this ( and the previous one too ) was very helpful! :)

  • Glad to hear! Thank you for watching and commenting :)

  • Its funny someone else made a comment about modding there xbox, cause thats EXACTLY what im going to do to. Lol. Thanks MonsterMawd for the excellent tutorial. Keep up the good work and keep comin with some more good ones. Thanks again.

  • Thats great, Thank you for watching and commenting :)

  • the table looks awsome

  • your tabel is soo fucking nice :D

  • thank u for your tutorial now i can mod my xbox 360 and pc case

  • Cool! Thank you for watching and commenting :)

  • Thanks for the tutorial. :-)

My black Thermaltake "Suprano" case already has a big window in the side, but if I were to mod a case, I'd probably go one further by using some fine sand paper wrapped around an oval needle file, grit facing out of course, to finish off the edging of cuts. Then match the satin black paint of the original case with a can of spray paint or better still, an air brush. :-)

  • sounds good to me :) Thank you for watching and commenting :)

  • Thanks again for the video. I love watching and learning from people, such as yourself. :-)

I changed jobs, not so long ago, now I'm working in a store that sells a lot of great stuff I could use for customising, such as the "U" (or "C") shaped rubber for putting over sharp edges. I'm learning a lot of tips from the tradies (proffessional tradespeople) who come in to buy stuff from us. :-)

  • ur awesome u know that right

  • Hi, Thanks, Should i buy the Dremel

1.15-Amp Keyed Rotary Tool that you are using or the Dremel

    2-Amp Keyed Rotary Tool ?

    thanks a lot

  • you can cut plastic, wood, metal, and engrave glass <--( i think)

  • yes

  • Would the U-channel molding not work on the lego head cutout because of the sharp corners? I think it'd look better if it had that or paint the corners black again. The exposed unpainted metal bugs me.

  • nice tutorial man !!

this is great , im working now in my tower but i have a qestion.

What color can i use in acrylic for don't lost the blue of my neon ?

( sorry for my bad english, i dont know if u can understand it )

  • blue, maybe green or clear

  • Good, cause we cant.

  • where did u get the lights?

  • I wish I ad thought to use a dremel when I made my window, I use a nibbler and it took my 3 days to cut the entire window! I also used c-channel tubbing because it was cheaper, idk if it's better or not but how ever, Don't make the window too big, I did that and it's hard to open and close the computer now...it's not bad for a first time mod, you can watch on my you tube account if you want.

  • Do you sell those lights?

  • would you be able to do this with a 360 case

  • ive done it before :D

  • Very nice. My casemod is almost finished (only paint and light is missing) but i want to engrave HDD in a peace of Plexi with HDD Leds. But it looks shit when i`m trying it. Do you have a tip for a good engrave tecnique?? Thanks a lot

  • use a vinal?

  • "Vinyl"

  • yh im an idiot lol :P

  • Great tutorial I've always wanted to mod my case but never had the guts to do it and know it looks easy.

    Thanks!

  • hey man, couldn't you also do the filing with the dremel? cuz it comes with a sanding attachment?

  • sure

  • can you please give a tour of the table your working on. The airbrush job on that is sick . please. let me know when you do. please please.

  • hey bill i wasnt sure where to ask this so im asking on this vid, it kindof fits :p

im just wondering if its worth cutting or dremeling out the square mesh type thing which goes over the exhaust fans on my thermaltake spedo case on the back, and then using a fan grill just for safety? im thinking in terms of noise and also airflow

    thanks in advance

  • sure worth a try!

  • why wouldn't it be possible to make a window with a dremel? i have a friend who made a window with his plasma cutter xD

looks very nice. like the lego logo.

  • sure thing

  • You talk about the Tape 'o the Gawds a lot, so why not sell it in your store? I can't find it ANYWHERE locally, so it'd be nice to order some with my other stuff.

  • I've tried, but 3M wont give me good pricing cause I'm not a big retail store.... you can buy it online, use Google, #4010

  • I know, I'm expecting inventory of it this weekend :)

  • Nice work on that case ! Shame they don't sell case modding parts in Australia. Well least at a decent price.

  • We ship orders to Aus weekly. goto link under "more info" and you will see our email under the country flags

  • Thanks alot !

I will look into ordering some parts !

  • I love having cool PC mods and stuffs created by myself, its fun what you are doing.. and actually you inspired me to buy that Dremel your using; I thought it would be difficult to use it. from watching your videos made me learn how to hold and how to cut.

Thanks for the amazing videos and for the nice guides and tips!

  • awesome! have you joined the mod brothers community forums yet?

  • Too Cool man. You've got a fun looking job. I used some of your tips on my first build. Modding is tremendously gratifying. I'd look the paint job for hours on end before even I put anything in it.

    Very informative videos.

  • now that is niice!

  • Thanks for watching! :)

  • and nice job as always! i would send in my case if i new that you would completely change it like the sword m case. I would pay up to like 200 bucks.

  • i am getting annoyed with my side for my thermaltake armor plus since it is pretty much all plexi. I haven't been able to find a side that is all steel so i can cut out my own window, you know of any place where it might be selling?

  • my computer is very plain and i want to make a custom window on the side but i dont want to mess it up

  • practice on something else first, take your time and remember safety glasses

  • Hey Bill im going to take these tips and make a Chevrolet themed Xbox. Great video!

  • Awesome, are you posting it in the Mod Brothers Forum?

  • Sure not a problem! Just waiting on that kickass Chevy orange and primary to arrive at my house. :)

  • Do I hear another tune of red alert 2 :P

    Nice vid !

  • Yeah STING is finished. But hey, you really showed me a new technique with that dremel, waddayouknow !? :)

  • Ok, Bro... I will post it tommorow with a link to your worklog on m od brothers :)

  • and Please post it in my Gallery too!!!!!
