  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • She pull her covers tator(tighter) I press against the door.

  • Rippled steaks and Debbie's cakes, when u dj, the 13 year olds quake. Chef Boyarde and gravy boats, mcgriddle cakes will make you float. Eating sausage out of a bag dude? Slurpees and nachos in the nude? All signs point to Paul Blart, cannot endure another SOC fart. Scubba Steve and Taser Ted, fills my mind with fear and dread. Legends come and legends go, and you my friend will reap what you sow.

  • Awesome song by great band played with great passion!

Rock over London. Rock on Chicago. Folgers, it's good to the last drop.

  • Awesome song by great band played with great passion!

  • I love my uncles work (vaden)

  • I Love the Toadies! Just like I love the Van Halen, the AC/DC, the prince, the Black Sabbath, the system of a down, & the The Beatles!

  • I was in this video! I was there on the front row! It was amazing! Jessica

  • I was in thes video! I was there on the front row! It was amazing! Jessica

  • Check out SBoE playing Tyler cover at Freedom Fest 2010!

  • I saw these guys play in Savannah, GA at a place called Velvet Elvis about 10 years ago. They were fuckin AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • haha i love this song, we did a cover to this song, a not so great cover but a cover none the less lol

  • From 2:00 - 2:30 is ridiculous. Its perfect. No one can touch that!

  • Awesome.

  • FUCKIN RIGHT! This song is badass and I love the creepy stalker vibe he gives in his song and performance. The Toadies rule!

  • where is the bassist?

  • SO UNDER RATED!!!

  • they sound damn good live, can't say that for most bands.

  • loooooooove this song! toadies come to germany damn!

  • TOADIES!

  • EXCELLENT sound quality. Thank you for the great-sounding video. Crystal clear.

  • the intro to this song is extremely similar to that of The Pixies - Where is my Mind

  • @fumf20000 yeah sorta. same kinda riff style.

  • i thought they used to be a pixies cover band?

  • never heard of this... but it wouldnt surprise if they were at one point

  • Saw them in seattle 09, one of the best shows I've ever seen!

  • saw them at acl 2009 a.k.a. mudstock 2009! they're sooooo awesome!

  • didnt know they were back together!?!? Is Lisa back cuz they said "back in the day" that there was no band without her...

  • she wasn't there..

  • Just saw them live today for the 3rd time....still amazing

  • Love this song but Possum Kingdom is still my favorite.

  • the first every band i listened too when i was 5.

they recorded their first EP in a recording studio right down the street from my dad's shop and he was fortune it enough to be give a copy

    great video!

  • YYYYYEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!

  • fucking amazing damn....

  • One of my all time favorite songs. My second concert was the The Toadies, live at the Bronco Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas in 1997. I was 14 at the time, and I remember everyone going crazy when they played this song.

  • Top 50 rock songs of all time! call me crazy but if you are reading this something has fated you here............listen carefully my newly initiated soul.

    Toadies 4Ever

  • This song is equally as beautiful too! This song always gave me chills

  • Intro is the same notes as the Pixies song weird dude!

  • You talking about the one at the end of Fight Club? Yeah, I thought they did that song for a long time, cuzza' this.

  • thats funny because my buddy has the pixies song Where is My Mind? on his shuffle... and whenever it comes on im like "its tyler!"... but im always wrong :)

  • The song has one of the best bridges of all time.

  • Finally!! A band that cant F%@! up live.

  • amen bro.

  • Most bands are 1 or 2 hit wonders, with possum kingdom for the toadies, but it's #1 hits that bring back bitter sweet memories of a crushed heart from highschool. Strange to think this song is about rape. I interpret it as a love song myself.

  • It is a love song....just in a very twisted, unreciprocated way!

  • I took it as a love song, but Ive heard its about rape. The lyrics can suggest either way.

  • noot a 1 hit wonder my friend. see them live

  • Oh I'm sure they can still tear the roof off. But when you say a band's name, usually someone will thinkof a handfull of their 60+ songs or how ever many. Tyler always did it for me.

  • @JRHulbret Being from TX will do that......

  • I love the way their songs tell stories, ballads so to speak. Rock today is so pathetic, nothing but cliche lyrics about slutty females. Of course this song is said to be about rape but at least it's unique.

  • No this song is about their home town. Tyler Texas i believe. I hope. Rocks testicles either way.

  • The song is definitely about some form of rape:

"I stumble in the hallway, outside her bedroom door

I hear her call out to me, I hear the fear in her voice

She pulls the covers tighter, I press against the door

I will be with her tonight!"

    (Great song, Great band)

  • dont think so, toadies didnt even form till 89where is my mind came out in 88

  • this has always been my favorite song, but just the other day i heard the pixies"where is my mind" kinda made tyler sound a bit like a rip off, still love it though

  • You're in luck.

"Tyler" was written and recorded BEFORE "Where is my mind." The Pixies actually borrowed it from the Toadies.

  • but but!! rubberneck = 1994

and and surfer rosa = 1988...

    WHAAAAAA??? LIARRRR!!!

  • I stumble in the kitchen!

  • oh damn i knew that rif sounded familiar

  • AMAZING band.

  • Saw them last Friday...it was fucking great.

  • god i love this band!!!

  • Awesome band, I just saw them here in Solana Beach, California! I'm glad they are back together. This band really loves their fans.

  • think they sound better live:p

but they are awesome ither way

    n_________n

    woooo!!!

  • Bought this cd when it first hit the shelves still have a miss the 90s

  • brilliant song!! fuck all of the cd is genius!!

  • .. best song the Toadies ever wrote..

  • After watching this killer video, I'm going to the fridge to get myself a beer...no make that a shit load of beers!!!!Awsome tune from an awsome CD!

  • aaah, nothing in this whole wide world could be better than that....

  • what show was this from???

  • Get the CD...Best of Toadies Live. That's where this if from....

  • man toadies are so fuckin awesome man ...fuck i wanna see them ....love this song

  • This song, and the Toadies have a whole lot in common with the Pixies, but they are still so great!

This is their "Where is my Mind"

  • many people here speak of good texas bands has anyone heard of the old 97s? a little country but way cool

  • toadies are better and this song is the shit it makes me cry sometimes beautiful

  • i know the old 97s a friend of mine from texas introduced me.they're sick

  • the coolest band...the most underrated, rubberneck rules.

  • Agreed. Not a weak song on the entire album. How rare is that? A true classic. One of the best albums of the 90's in my oppinion.

  • @everman187 fuck another goddamn "underrated" comment. not everything can be "uberrated"

  • Just saw them last night in San Antonio. By far the best concert I have ever been to. Small venue and freekin rocked it.

  • original members?

  • yes, the original members. aparently they just got back together and started touring again.

  • Im seeing them in Corpus Christi on the 18th when they broke up i was so bummed i never thought i would get to see them again its gonna be fuckin legendary

  • This album was definitely one of the best when it came out. I saw this band live 3 times and still have one of their concert T's. What happened to them?

  • They broke up but they are back together they are gunna play in Houston soon I hear Im gunna fuckin try and score some tickets

  • I agree, one of the most under-rated albums of my generation...I had it on tape and wore it out...I never liked the all the labels people try to put on music...to me it's another great "Rock" album.

  • The most underrated album. These guys ruled.

  • Rubberneck is one of my all time favorite albums fuckin ever (along with Slipknot,Follow the Leader[Korn],L.D 50[Mudvayne],Sacrament[Lamb of God],and Antics[interpol] thought id let everyone know that, i dont know why. This song kicks ass!

  • you know there's other music out there then rock lol you know that right some of it's even pretty decent you think these people jus listened to rock cuz they didn't corey taylor does a chris isiaac tune which is pop anywayz i love slipknot/stone sour and ofcoarse toadies and i agree rubberneck is one of the best cds and personally i like subliminal verses better i think we get to see more of who slipknot really is their first two cds are jus like one of them

  • ok anyone calling this grunge is dumb another the the rock in the nineties that deviated from grunge was the best this band smashing pumpkins the nixons stone temple pilots i mean to me grunge was nirvana it was rock that was all bout barre chords and minimalistic solos which is not this band or the ones i jus named

  • Toadies are grunge or Alt/indie but the music industry labels it as "grunge" its the same with alot of bands in the 90s that are indie but labeled grunge

  • i've been listening to toadies for like ten years and this is the first video i've seen of em wow they're ugly lol but they fuckin rock!!!!!

  • i love this song and the pixies. just throwing that out there

  • One of Todd Lewis's favorte bands is the pixies

  • Todies are the shit

  • great song...underrated album.

  • Go Pioneers! They went to my high school. Kick ass!

  • Only Lisa went to Boswell High School...the others went to Fort Worth schools

  • Oh, did the others go to Brewer?

  • I saw The Toadies open for R.H.C.P. on the "One Hot Minute"-tour. Nobody wanted them to leave, they were that good. Unfortunately, Navarro-era Chili's were terrible live, and I ended-up leaving midway through their set.

  • Rubberneck came out in what, '94? Hardly "post-grunge". I used to have the logos of all my favorite bands drawn on the front of my school notebook in grade 9. I was 14 in '94. Toadies logo was on the notebook, goatee was on the chin, plaid-flannel cardigan was on the back. Toadies were of the grunge era. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Soundgarden were just coming out with third albums around that time.

  • nice

  • I LOVE THE TOADIES!!!

  • i miss these guyys !! where else am i gonna get great songs to send to x-girlfriends !!!

  • i saw these guys on the 2001 farewell tour down in san antonio...great show....with cinderleaf and the riddlin kids

  • dude they do sound like the pixies and they cant be post grunge if they were founded in 1989

  • Post Grundge? Might sound that way because they have Pixies influence, but seriously? Time paradox

  • Post grunge my ass, toadies date juss as far back as your bedbuddies kurt and vedder.

  • Thanx so much for posting! I Love these guys:)

  • work sux, dont worry i'll enjoy the st pattys day show for you

  • this is probably my favorite song ever. period. end of story. so many memories i have associated with it. all of them are mostly just dreams now. But i still have this song. never saw em live though, i hear conflicting accounts of them live, so maybe i am not missing anything much.

  • Bro I saw them live in houston just a few months ago and they rocked my face off. Vaden was hard core.

  • Reunitind again for St. Patricks day sucks i have to work.

  • fuck yeah. greatest post-70s texas band EVER. (followed closely by tripping daisy, damnit!!)

thanks for this post. man i miss this band.

  • They did reunite late last year for a one time performance kind of thing here in Dallas, but that was all.

  • the lead singer for toadies is now in the band Burden Brothers. still has the same awe some energy.

  • This is one of my all time favorite songs

  • I just recently rediscovered this band and I also found out they broke up. A bloody fucking shame. Easily one of the most talented bands out there. If I heard that they would reuinite I would probably shit myself with joy.

  • I guess you could put this down as alternative/grunge type rock. Either way it kicks some ass.

personally Possum Kingdom is a better song, but this one is still great.

  • its post grunge

  • No, it's not post grunge.

  • yeahhhh it is grunge was big in early 90's

    this was mid 90's

than after that it was crap rock.

  • Grunge is well know to have lasted to the mid 90's. Toadies have been around since 90, even earlier. This song is smack on mid 90's. It's grunge.

  • grunge was dead to many in mid 90's.

including me. but i'll go with you.

  • Its just my opinion and being from the dallas erea and watching these guys for so long that its a shame how record lables can realy fuck you over when your this great. And in my opinion there the third greatist band to come outa texas next to SRV of cource and the greatiset band ever ZZ TOP

  • They only made 2 recrods... each being 7 years apart.

  • This was one of those underrated albums. I liked some tracks on their later records, but thought the later ones were self-conscious overall as a whole. It happens I guess and I could be off the mark in saying that... hope they're still making music and hope I hear some of it.

  • This is one of the best songs ever written. I love this kinda of music but I'm not sure which genre it would be.
