i got two cvrs in a box for 80 bucks and i thought they were crazy loud then hooked up a brand new btl 18 without a box as is and it hit 10 times louder than the cvr 12s. My car was flexing like crazy only on 1000 watts its insane. Even tho a local audio shop said it had a pussy spyder lol.

No 3k isnt too much. They are rated at 2k for warranty purposes. 2k is a 100% safe amount of power for the sub. people with the right equipment and setup throw in excess of 5k on them with no problems.

Its in the process of being built now. I have the battery rack, new trunk floor, and some wiring done. Already put in about $1500 in suspension alone to support the weight of the car and to help with steering. Most likely sometime after the new year.
