to bad ron paul is pro- free trade which means american's buy all these cheap foreign products from countries that do not buy an equal value from us, creating for us a 35 yr straight trade deficit, that is now in the trillions, and growing each year. and since then US doesn't back it's dollar by gold, the central exchange banks that want to collect for the goods sold to american, can only get US bonds and treasury notes, forever tying our economies together, on a global scale.

Agreed. When it comes to government involvement in ANY facet of life, less really IS more.
The only thing our government should be doing is protecting the citizens (and their property) from foreign threats through the military, and each other through police, and public utilities. Government should have little/nothing to do with health care, education, welfare, scientific research, space exploration, business, economics, media, religion, relationships, parenting, or anything else

I for one hope the dollar is destroyed and that DIGITIZED money becomes the norm. Everyone will have to carry an RFID chip equipped car and all fund transfers will be monitored by the government.
