If you can isolate cannabis from the rest of the hard drugs, I think you would see the small times gangs (fueling the larger ones in a trickle up business model) running out of funds very quickly. Violent crimes and actual physical drug addiction would sharply drop also. But that's just how I feel about it.

heroin costs more than weed.

but if cannabis, and ONLY cannabis was legal, and we started teaching the truth about cannabis in schools, the gateway theory only has a tiny bit of truth if cannabis is illegal.
now my point, if hard drugs are offered in a enviroment that is not safe (dealers etc), wich can be stopped if we kill the blackmarket with a legalisation and regulation of cannabis.

Sure you can slap "gateway theory" on there as an explanation for why someone used "hard drugs", but for sure that's not the exact science of why someone decided to use "hard drugs". Lack of education and massive propaganda wars is the main reason.

the only reason marijuana can be considered a gateway drug is because it is sold on the black market...along with hard drugs. which makes them easier to access if you already have to buy weed illegally. there is no inherent property of cannabis that makes the user want to try anything else.

Nobody is saying a drug twists your arm up your back and forces you to take another drug,or hypnotises you to do it,but its always going to be easier to try the next drug if you have already tried the first ,so called soft drug.
Very few,only maybe very mentally disturbed / depressed people would go out and go straight into injecting heroin,id say at least 80% start on ,alcohol,cigs,marijuana then heroin,in that order.

I knew the little sticker said not to stop usage abruptly, but HOLY SHIT, I had no idea what I was in for. Looking back on it, I could have had a seizure and died, instead I just felt like I was dying FOR MONTHS. I'd rather get punched in the face by Mike Tyson with brass knuckles every day for a month straight than to go through that again.
