what was the value of the gold silver and chemicals that you used, compared to the proffit or recovery of the silver in the end? how much total proffit total did this yeild? thanks
@tiger1572 He is inquartering the gold. Nearly pure gold (21K to 24K) can be dissolved immediatly with Aqua Regia, but Gold that is less than 21K but greater than 6K has too much Silver content. The alloyed Silver forms Silver Chloride, a passivation layer, and keeps the gold from being dissolved. So he mixes more Silver to the Gold and alloy them to bring the purity down to 6K so that they can be chemically processed.
