Watch the non-catching hand of Florida receivers. Notice how it pushes down on the shoulder of the person they're jumping against. This video doesn't show it much, but they scream in people's faces after points and are generally dicks. There's no doubt they're great athletes and fun to watch, but in a sport built around sportsmanship and "The Spirit of the Game," these guys are totally missing the point.

Grats on the championship. Next year, come back and win it with class and pure ability.

UF plays dirty all the time, and calls every single little foul committed against them. Don't dish it out if you can't take it. One of the biggest bunch of whiners and egotistical kids I've come across. I do not like UF Ultimate one bit.

@srqultimate Plays dirty? I know that they do commit a lot of fouls, but they don't do it on purpose. They are always full of energy and are always aggressive. I know its a non contact sport, but you got to be aggressive to catch the Frisbee. They want to be the best, and they deserve it.

I used to play with these guys for a few years. UF campus, Flavet Field 9pm on Mondays and Thursdays. Most of them are pretty good. All those games on Flavet Field shaped the best Ultimate players in the world.

The championship game between Florida and Carleton was one of the saddest and most despicable games of ultimate i have ever watched. Have any of you florida players even heard of "spirit of the game"? The number of unnecessary foul calls was disgusting and extremely detrimental to the sport of ultimate. I could barely watch the full video. You should be ashamed to call yourself players

@OvrTheHills I think your getting the spirit of the game and the rules of the game confused. True Florida calls a lot more fouls then other teams but that is a part of the game, you see a foul you call it. The spirit is simply enjoying the game for what it is competitive. My high school team has a rival we play twice a year and yeah we yack it up and call fouls and contest during the game but afterwards we all laugh it off and just be friendly.

@BeanTownBomba07 nah dude, highlevel ultimate gets very physical. it may not be "legal" in the rulebook but people let it slide. if you've ever seen an NHL hockey game, you'll see them crosscheck/slash the shit out of each other (which is against the rules) but the refs let it go, i imagine the players feel similarly about light pushoffs and stuff.
