This video is full of bullshit and bad facts. Worse, it is also streaked with ugly propaganda which is intended to rationalize their exploitation of a blood sport for their own amusement and financial gain, when in fact these people are desperate and poor and killing each other for 15 dollars (which is NOT a lot of money anywhere you lying bald testicle) is a sad reality of their lack of options. Uh... you know people in Cambodia work for like only like 25 cents to a dollar an hour right? 15 dollars is A LOT. You could buy food for 4 weeks with that much. I've lived in Cambodia with my relatives for about a year and I was amazed how little people get payed for (or how cheap everything was for that matter).

Learn to think. If there is very little economic stability, labour is exploited cheaply for the sake of a few in the leisure class, and you are able to scrape a few extra crumbs together by possibly risking your health and life in the short term, and definitely risking your longterm health, is that a good job? Desperation will bring out the worst in people, and in the west where this sleazy, morbid show was seen as entertainment, we actually perpetuate that desperation. It's still NOT good pay.

@VariedInterest In Thailand, a lot of folks are opening gyms and training foreigners. It's creating jobs, feeding people, and supporting trainers and their family in Thailand. It's popularity is due to shows like this one. With foreigners inluences like rings, timed bouts, and gloves, this martial art has become a lot safer. Like two sides to every quarter. Don't just focus on the negative.

well... for one their stances are different; predal serey is upright emphasizing striking, bokator is more crouched with animal styles, they focus some more on submission as well. that's just a little of the differences.
