  • im saddened that this only has 26000 views in almost a year. that's only about 70 views per day. please share this with someone you know.

  • For me, they can do what they want. But at the end, they'll face the consequences.

  • WHo better to influence law making than the successful? Or would you rather put the power of law making in the hands to those who can't even support themselves. It seems the recipients of welfare would rather vote in people who will keep the free cash flowing than to vote in those who would create a business environment better suitd for growth. In other words, it is better to borrow the country into oblivion to pay for handouts than it is to create taxable wealth that would balance the budget.

  • Excellent!!

  • This is so precise, entertaining, and it makes for an excellent call to action! Brilliant presentation!

  • 40% of the names on Forbes 400, Board of Governors on Federal Reserve, most top level cabinet positions for past 40 years, every name on Vanity Fair list of 100 most influential persons, most powerful lobby in Washington, CEO's of the largest banks, largest recipient of foreign aid, owner of 96% of all privately held media outlets, all major Hollywood studios. All have one thing in common. Jews either control or own all of the aforementioned.

  • The secret war that is being waged is not a left vs. right battle. This is an illusion, much like professional wrestling i.e. good-cop - bad-cop Because, both parties have long- since been co-opted by "Global Collectivists".

The true battle is: "Collectivism vs. Individualism". We are being covertly led to embrace the tenants of Collectivism in America to vulcanize our society to a Socialist/Fabinist/Corporatist control-grid where ALL power and control is promulgated by the ruling elite.

  • Terrific video. But how will this ever come about in America? We are now a multicultural nation, and most people from most cultures aren't interested in these kinds of topics. Non-whites, especially, do not avail themselves of these ideas. Blacks particularly are just not interested. Indeed, we have lost this Republic to corrupt pols and insidious fat cats, but i think it is impossible now to return to our constitutional republican roots. The masses have changed and they are not up to the task!

  • @PoliticalAnimal1959 I don't believe the country is multicultural. White Anglo-Saxon Protestantism holds the most power and it's the form which the so-called Tea Party and the Radical Religious Right holds as the ideal. It will have to be crushed at some point or perhaps it will collapse upon itself.

  • Does educational institutionalization make a difference?

Alumni organizations solicit contributions and fund programs as governmental practices, much as parents fund children in the psychogenic transfer of moral and value expectations.

Models of university interdependence, e.g., the research triangles, promote greater incorporation of educational institutionalization. Social and cultural value systems in-dependence are evolving toward greater social psychological cohesion, albeit traditional.

  • The speaker wants Congress to be "dependent on the people"--and yet he lauds FDR? This guy schemed for years, illegally, against the American people to get them into World War II, finally ALLOWING the Japanese a free hand to bomb Pearl Harbor--just as all the fishy business on 9/11 gave Bush his excuse to attack Afghanistan. But of course, WWII was a 'just war' that 'democracy' 'won'--by, e.g., handing all of Eastern Europe over to the Soviet Union! This talk propagates a false mythology.

  • Some people might be pledged to argue that Hitler was aware of the Zionistic corruption and takeover of humanity and therefore, was willing to exterminate all Jewish descendants in any manner possible. Any thoughts to that? I'm not looking for some "tough-guy bullshit," it's merely a question to ponder because I've heard a number of people bring it to speculation.

  • @Omega1874 ...Go to Henry Makow, com and read his latest article on hitler.....its what you want.

  • Oh, there's a root alright...

"The colonies would gladly have borne the little tax on tea and other matters had it not been that England took away from the colonies their money, which created unemployment and dissatisfaction. The inability of the colonists to get power to issue their own money permanently out of the hands of George III and the international bankers was the prime reason for the Revolutionary War." ~ Benjamin Franklin

    Sound Familiar?

  • Confusion is the root problem. If you xyz world wide wiki flowchart ie Number and Entitle Everything (NEE: photos, paragraphs, sections, sitelinks, etc) you get a study of truth/contextology language: lore/law: 'civilization 2.0'.

  • pssttt...Juries...CAN and should judge the case--but also they CAN judge the so-called law!

  • The root we need to strike is the central banking system.

As long as one small group of people control our nation's money, the government will remain their wholly-owned subsidiary.

While I'm here I'd like to praise LL for his avocation of sane copyright law and curse his incredibly poor sense of timing. His action only reinforced the idea of perpetual copyright. Free Mickey!

By wasting 11:39 without once directly mentioning "the root," we are left to wonder who Lessig really serves.

  • The 4 dislikes are rich people.

  • corruption=jews

  • for those that say tldr....

    "money talks"

  • Wow. Sitting here reading the comment threads below. How pathetic. How can you watch this and then hold on to any partisan ideology whatsoever? This isn't about Donkey's vs. Elephants. This is about our survival as a nation - and it is a brilliant and desperate, trans-partisan rallying cry for subversive dissent and constructive evolution - for our own enlightened self-interest.

  • @pjboulder All well rendered. This's a visceral struggle. This is one that defines us as life, itself. I am being vague, on purpose, to be clear. Ultimately, what we must do is have the courage to seek a vision that is counter to what we see now. We are kept distracted by the eternal Media/the wall-builders/the gatekeepers that only have the power if they have convinced us that the inside of the wall is better than anything outside. Corruption comes from us giving up our willingness to be aware.

  • If you sold a book explaining your political philosophy for money, and people bought it, should you not be allowed to put forth as much money as you want to support your ideas. Everyone is biased. My first donations of charity will be to my closest friends who have similar ambitions. Madison wrote that Ambition Begets Ambition. Money is a very neutral way of voting. I will agree, howver, Corporations should have limits. They cannot claim individual rights when speaking for a group of people.

  • I guess today was opposite day for AAJONES.

  • ...didn't the 13AJJONES comment below require 13AJJONES to view, and be in close proximity to, a monitor pulsing out an electromagnetic field??

  • @13AJJONES says the moron as he goes back to watching American (brain on) Idol!

  • @TheMadApe IM THE MOST PATRIOTIC, POLITICALLY INVOLVED, CONSTITUTIONALIST YOU WILL EVER MEET ...AND IVE NEVER EVEN SEEN 1 SHOW OF AMERICAN FOOLS, CUZ I RARELY WATCH YOUR IDIOT BOX....YA DUMBASS !

  • "Here in America we are descended in blood and in spirit from revolutionists and rebels - men and women who dare to dissent from accepted doctrine. As their heirs, may we never confuse honest dissent with disloyal subversion."

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. "

    -Dwight D. Eisenhower

  • "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

    -Thomas Jefferson

  • @Tempolisto

    are you volunteering your blood?

  • @Tempolisto let's avoid blood, we should have become more civlized since Jefferson

  • no news on the why, no content on the WHY.

but other than that it's an excellent presentation! what's the tool used for the slides, does anyone know?

  • If I were a person in big govt or big money, and I wanted a citizenry too passive to revolt, I might want to indoctrinate every child for half of their waking childhood hours, and I'd want to drug any that were not passive enough to sit still and do what they were told. Then I'd want to train all of the adults to spend all of their leisure time in front of amusing "programming" created by big govt and big money, and I'd want to drug any that found any of this to be depressing. Oh, wait.

  • @702midwife yes.

  • @christopherwerler I really don't think "rioting" is a necessary thing. See: Martin Luther King, Jr, Ghandhi, Tahrir Square.

  • I've always wanted to see what I already knew presented in the context of history. Thanks Professor Lessig. Ultimately, when the right incentives are in place, the people will reclaim their authority over their own destiny and restore democracy.

  • Clearly the right incentives aren't yet in place. The right incentives will be in place when, like Egypt, we have millions of people, unemployed and without any social safety net, who have nothing left to lose -- and only something to possibly gain -- by rioting in the streets in the millions.

  • When that happens, we will no longer hear about how our government's budget needs to be cut....we will hear about how those who have the money will start funding their society adequately. And those with the funding will only fund the government adequately with the right inventives: rioters in the streets disrupting the daily functioning of capitalism.

  • As for now, as citizens, we're entirely complicit as we have willingly egged on those that have looted our democracy for the last 30 years, celebrating them and calling them patriots. They are not patriots, and citizens themselves will deserve that name when they end the looting, take control of our democracy, and leash up the dogs. Capitalism is wonderful, but like a dog, it's trouble off the leash.
