The opening song is an arranged version of the Popeye theme. The spider is voiced by Popeye's voice actor, Jack Mercer, using the voice that he would later use for The Professer in the Trans-Lux Felix the Cat cartoons.
As a child i remember watching this and many others like it on a VHS. I NEED, i mean NEED to find this VHS, this shaped me as a child and are very scary to me today! Is anyone familiar with a tape like this? it was like 50 classic cartoons
@CreativeFilmMaker I have a very old tape called 50 Classic Color cartoons Volume 1. Although I don't think it has this particular one on it; it has Looney Tunes, Some Fleischer Cartoons, ("Small Fry" is one of them), Felix the Cat, and lots of others. It has "Diamond Entertainment Corp." on it. Unfornutaley I don't play it often because it's wearing out.
When I was 5 I saw this And it scared me!
But now I remembered it and I'm so glad I found this! I can relive the moment I saw this.

This cartoon and "Small Fry" are my 2 favorite Fleischer Cartoons. If you never saw "Small Fry" search it out on youtube. It's another classic! :)
