My mother is from Jamaica and always used to tell my siblings and I "what's joke to you, is death to frog". The saying comes from a story(or fable) about 2 boys at a lake who threw rocks at a frog, which was fun for them but it wasn't for the frog, cuz it killed him. Its a saying about what may be funny/fun to one person is cruel and unkind to another. When I stumbled across this I was like "o, an animation of the fable from my mom's country". Good, no great job with the animation and message!!

@Bibliothekaresse Hi, the Digital Character Animation program is a 6-month program and it is focussed on creating character-based animations with Maya. The 3D Animation & Visual Effects program runs for 1-year. It also covers working with Maya, but it covers a much broader field (including animation, modelling, and visual effects). Hope that helps. I'm sorry, that was stupid. The story was lacking, the message to the story, if there were one was messed up, and the ending was like a cliffhanger. Hell, only the killing of the frog was animated in, not even the burying part.

And shouldn't a story have a message? You think if someone makes a movie about assault, about abuse, etc. you would hope that the message was something more than "and the guy who helped killed the frog actually had the decency to bury it".

Decency a good video. The theme is a little short, and shows a military theme. A frog is an evil spirit in the ancient texts dating back to Babylon and ancient Egypt; you cannot hug a frog, a clean person cannot eat a frog, it does not communicate anything of value, it is cold and self-serving but will leave its offspring everywhere, also considered a curse that give rot to anything. The military theme is remove the evil spirit designated frog, and then bury it, for that is decent.

@karlbej i don't think movies should make a point all the time. sometimes we all make decisions that we regret at least the regret he felt at the end shows some kind of compassion. Peer pressure is a powerful thing that we all suffer from, this film poses a question as apposed to offering a solution or moral law which imo is more important than preaching. the kid only started throwing rocks when the bully suggessted that he would be suffering. i liked this movie a lot. its well made.

Lacks creativity like birds lack feathers! This guy communicated the emotion of the situation brilliantly and with excellent characterisation. The little touch I most enjoyed was the elasticity of the frog when dragged from the water. You don't need a complex plot to tell an engaging story. Well made!

I feel that Decency is a great name for the video. Even though the character was persuaded into killing the frog, he clearly felt bad about what he'd done or else he wouldn't have the "decency" to bury the frog. Great job.
