  • I love this woman so much. Though she is no longer with us, I feel a very strong connection to her. I love you forever Pearl.

  • She was an idol, now & forever, too bad no one cared ..... i still carry her torch

  • Within four months of this appearance, she was gone.

  • "They laughed me out of town, out of class and out of the state man,

    so i'm going home...." :D

Who ever had as much guts as Janis Joplin?

    I love her.

  • What would that have been like if Cavett had gone with her to the high school reunion.

  • dick cavett... old skool jonathan ross

  • I think she's charming, and he's being a bit patronizing. She was so ahead of her time, that I guess they didn't know how to take her. Janis was delightful, on and off the stage. Thanks for sharing this!

  • @norfolk03 I don't think he's patronising, I think that was just his sort of dad-style humour. They were actually friends, so Janis must have felt comfortable in his presence. It was to Dick that Janis confessed she was considering suicide because "if I died, who would care?"

  • @xXPinkGoddessXx Thanks for telling me that, it sheds a different light on this. She was an amazing lady!

  • why does she have feather boas in her hair?

  • @hisluckienstar614 cause she was awesome!

  • "They laughed me out of class, out of the city and out of the state.. so I'm going home" that quote is so sad and so defiant in tha same time

  • It was closer to home than that baby! I was surprised she was that comfortable, I thought she might either be rude or shy but she's great!

  • I remember her well...

  • Isn't she lovely, and so is he.

Knowing this one almost by heart (it is on the blue sampler "Janis") I am so happy somebody put it up here so we can see the two ... and Dick's shoes. (I was always wondering how they looked like.)

  • Btw: This is complete while the one on the LP/CD is shortened.

  • Mr. Cavett was flirting with Janis. If I was doing the interview, I would do the same. Love You Janis.

  • " I dont either believe me "...

  • you're a real swinger, I can tell by your shoes haha :D

  • What a charming, funny, cool woman she was. I'd go to a party with her and get tattooed

  • She was that kind of person.

  • 1:52 / 7:34

    who

    ohw

    ok

  • I don't either, I don't either believe me, so I'm going... She was the best and she's still the best, always will be the best. Love ya Janis!

  • Few times she showed a little girl charm, i love it.

It's an opposite image to extremely strength of her singing but so more attracted me.

  • God, this woman was awsome, in fact, she still is! Rock on Janis!

  • God. I love her, man. And Dick's pretty great too: "I looked that up one time and promptly forgot it." Haha.

  • was this after "get it while you can?" is that what she makes the mule cart reference to?

  • she raided the wardrobe at the Muppet show. ha ha ;O)D

  • Actually she got a lot of her clothing from good Goodwill and stuff.

    She's awesome

  • you shouldn´t make fun of her, but that´s a good joke, dude.

  • I love her, she's the best.

  • She's cool, and funny too.

  • I can't say why exactly but I love her so much!
