  • Is there any other subsitute to using wine? can i use water instead?

  • @nanooha85 You can use water instead, but keep in mind that all the alcohol evaporates

  • is it possible to use anything else then wine?

  • is there a specific flour that you need or just plain ordinary all purpose flour?

  • @tatulover01 All purpose flour is fine... but since it has more gluten than Italian flour, maybe you'll have to use a little less liquid.

  • Can you boil, then fry, instead of baking?

  • @ferbrz No, according to the recipe they must be boiled!

  • @ferbrz ...and baked

  • @yellowsaffron Thanks, you saved me. Didn't want to be wasting ingredients LOL.

  • how come their is no eggs in the recipe??

  • what do you mean when you say let it rest in a (fresh) place ???

  • @kitsunesphere Allow the dough to rest away from source of heat

  • what if i dont consume alcohol.. any alternative plz

  • @shafeenaz10 As I said before, there is no alcohol left in the dough, since it dissolves while cooking... but if want to avoid it at all, substitute with the same amount of water

  • I was craving for pretzels just before watching the video. Is there something I can use instead of wine?

  • @Licazy Wine dissolves while cooking

  • would children be able to eat this even tho it has the white wine in it? or will that just dissolve while cooking?

  • @kochen0 Of course, it's a recipe for children, too!

  • Always pleasure to come back to this great site, which makes it so easy for us to listen and read the recipes right under the video here without going back and forth on the video just to try to write the recipes.

When I look for recipes and see a few videos of the same recipe and see giallozaferano, I always run to your site first, knowing I'll get it all nice and easy right from the start.

    Thanks.

  • I thought bagels are not supposed to contain any fats.

Or there are many versions of making them???

  • @pamdento Taralli have something in common with bagels (the shape and the way they're cooked), but they're not the same!

  • @yellowsaffron: Is this simple water, or do you boil them in leach, made with soda-bicarbonate? That's how I know it from bagles and pretzels.

  • @Rigo0Jancsi No, it's just water... bagels and pretzels are similar, but not the same.

  • I would like to know if there is a non-alcoholic substitute for the white wine?

  • @Lissagirl99 Even if there is wine in the dough, the taralli are not alcoholic at all!

  • Can we replace water instead of white wine for children?

  • @vukvuk5 whenever you bake/cook alchohol, it evaporates completely, so you don't need to worry

  • This looks interesting! What can you eat this with? :)

  • @JMClover101 Cheese and salami, for example!

  • Even if i'm italian, i had eaten those only 2/3 times. :(

  • Yumm my mum used to make these

  • I watched this video with the translations. It was fun!:-)

  • see you next week, we make a pizza pie

  • Is this channel just for Youtube or is it on television aswell?

  • @HeavyMetalist24 In English it's only a YouTube channel, up to now... but we're working on the website, too! While in Italian we have a wonderful website w w w.giallozafferano.it

  • @yellowsaffron I recommend everyone watch both the English and Italian versions. Listening to Sonia's voice is music to my ears.

  • Love it

  • You are one of the top 3 cooks on youtube!! These look delicious!!

I saw on your profile it said United States......do you live in the U.S. Do you speak english too?

  • @Wivanunu Thanks for the compliments! We live in Italy and translate the videos in English...

  • DELICIOUS! give me time and i could prolly finish that basket in one sitting.....

  • @kkz201 NOT if I get to it first, LOL!!!!

  • I don't have any wild fennel.

  • isn't 4 cups 1kg? it says here 500g

  • @oxRACH333Lxo nope, 4 cups isnt a kg :)

  • @hengjovi i'm fairly sure one cup is 250 grams, multiply that by four and you get 1kg.

  • @oxRACH333Lxo nope, flour is lighter than liquid, if you dont believe, you may measure 4 cups with a weighing machine, comparing oil to flour :)

  • @oxRACH333Lxo 1 cup of flour is 125 g

  • @yellowsaffron oh, well a cup where i'm from is 250g's, i guess i'll just half it and figure it out...

  • Buoni i taralli!!!! =D

  • Sweet snack!

  • As always, very very likeable...
