I was at this game. Clearly was helmet to helmet. The sound of metal against metal could be heard in every corner of the stadium. How the refs missed it is beyond my understanding. That is why people were booing. Especially when MSU started celebrating and continued to do so long after Jefferson was lying almost motionless. What if he were paralyzed? Typical classless MSU. Thankfully Jefferson was able to hold onto the ball. UW came away with the W and MSU pooped away the rest of the season.

I'm glad the Wisco guy was ok. The worst thing about this hit is that it stopped the clock and gave Wisconsin a chance to kick a field goal. If #3 makes a regular tackle, Wisco has to rush to spike the ball or the time runs out. How did the game end? Michigan State lost by a field goal...

It's clear there is helmet to helmet contact, as I made as clear as possible in my post. What you also failed to recognize in my post is that the only reason there was any helmet to helmet contact is because Jefferson is taller than Warrick. If you knew anything about contact sports, you know you need to lean into hit in order for it to be effective. Clean hit.
