@brofranomo I can't tell you why they haven't made big time for sure, only speculate...but I don't think they want to. They do this because the music is their life...they don't perform to entertain, they're just telling their story. To be honest, I don't think J and the guys care about the money and fame...in fact, I believe J has said something to that effect before. Music saved his life once...he doesn't want to sell out and risk losing it all again.

I'm not sure how that was a reply to me...but the band certainly did struggle for a time, especially when Capitol records gave 'em the shaft. They continued with the album partially because much of it was already done and they do enjoy what they do. They haven't had much play time recently because they haven't come out with anything since Goodbye to the Machine, but they are again in the writing process and a record is rumored for late this year. As for jaybitts...I can't say anything about his

I think their record label dropped them and they paid for all that we see/hear now. Radio stations here were playing it a lot. One thing about this song is it tells a true story with excellent music to back it up. I'm 55 and I love this song so much. It's been on my favorites list since it first came out and It's going to stay there.
