  • 日本有一部日立斜道升降機, see it: v=uIKZHoD0x-k

Maspero.

  • like the chinglish sign "Elederly and Disables given priority"

  • It's probably a typing mistake. The keys for 'S' and 'D' are next to each other on a normal US-style international keyboard.

  • can anyone ride this elevator? also is there an operator in the elevator or does the user push the buttons..

  • It's just a normal elevator apart from the inclined shaft design. Passengers press buttons on a normal button console in the car, with no attendant.

  • Amazing, what a rare find!!!

  • Actually I've already known about it for long. But I happened to be inspired by a Google ad here about an inclinator that I finally decided to film it.

  • The only incline elevators in the US that I know of are one in Dallas, one in San Francisco, and some at the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas.

  • Someone has a video of one in a train station.

  • Where in san francisco is an incline elevator??

  • I remember seeing a video of one at a convention center.

  • San Francisco? Where?

There is one in Los Angeles, it's been there since 1978 (at least) it's in Studio City at the Hollywood Studios where you can tour.

  • I don't remember exactly where.

  • There is a smaller incline at the San Diego Convention Center, providing (rather labyrinthine) access to the harborfront without having to go around the huge building.

  • @BalloonJammer where??

  • @dieselducy If you're on Harbor Drive, at the south/east end of the Sails Pavilion area (around Entrance 'D' or 'E', there is a track with what looks like an elevator with a decorative round 'cage' around it. You can ride that to a walkway across to the bay side, without going into the event areas of the Convention Center itself.

  • wow, very unusual! Are these common in Hong Kong?

  • No. At least not at the moment. Apart from this there is only one other such machine in Asia. It's the inclinator at the Bvlgari Hotel on the island of Bali, Indonesia.
