  • I would personally go for the hermit.

  • I do find that the woman playing at hostess is enjoying her part far too much. Snobs are always natural bullies.

  • The hostess says that Miss Francesca is behaving inappropriately and inaccurately, but back then, the lady's companion would have been doing what she could to try to get a husband (just as Miss Francesa is doing now).

  • ewww! did she really bathe in that? gross!

  • I like the music in the background XD

  • forget the house guys, it's all about the hermit!

  • the hostess sounds and looks like a witch

  • @cookieshopgirl I wish she would fall off her broomstick.

  • The hermit is totally hot!

  • What is it with the English and the comment "red Indian"?

  • @chaui71 It has to do with native americans

  • I do not like the hostess, but the truth of the matter is that a hostess back then would have been exactly like that. Perhaps even worse. She's playing her part to the T.

  • the hostess is simply horrid!!!

  • That parasol was chosen for her and I thought it extremely rude and unbecoming of the hostess to speak through the window.

  • I love how the companion girl didn't take it personally, like Victoria did. That girl knew it's a TV show and she's playing a part, and in real life, the old lady probably didn't give a shit about her and that guy.

  • Wow...the trainer looks pretty serious at 5:58...he really looks the part! I see so much of what Jane Austen was talking about here...

  • The hostess is Lady Catherine!

  • @CissyTrix You noticed that too?!

  • OK, the hostess is really getting on my nerves!! Good Lord!

  • POOR GIRL, That did'nt look like much of a bath either - she was only in for two seconds b4 she got out & whats the point of wearing the night shirt & knickers? Hows the water ment to get to all the nooks & crannies? I think i'd rather just take my soap (did they have soap??) to the nearest stream than use someones dirty bath water, especially since the person that had used it before her hadn't had a decent wash in a while so it was probably filthy - you'd probably get more privacy too . . .

  • @MissAshleyJClark as bad as it is for miiss francesca now a days in 1811 things were quite diffrent see she would of been something of a step child or something of distant relation back then and it would of been a positon of honor for her really now adays things are diffrent

  • @MissAshleyJClark I think I'd have just refused to bathe at all. At least you're rolling in your own filth and not someone else's.

  • Did every one bathe on that water??

  • @esteff22 I think so!

  • @esteff22 yes. This was common practice. The first to gave the bath is the highest ranking person and then it moves down the line to lowest ranking person. In familes, in these times, the same thing was done with siblings. If the there were 10 kids they would share the bath water from oldest to youngest......so gross!

  • @novanurse77 That also happened in ancient japanese culture.

  • @novanurse77 eww, that is really disgusting, it really stinks and to know they didnt bathed as often.
