keep creating and expressing yourself... your poetry is beautiful. Most people can't even conceive of an open mind... they are stuck in a linear ping pong game.. Did you do the artwork in the back ground?
@AngeMlO she writes for a Catholic oriented website, or at least she was last year. don't have the website name onhand right now. might be able to google it.
Actually, the archetype is from an ancient legend...but I believe that book uses the legends to explain personality types....and also used the legend used here.
O i love it. I love it when it's abstract. I look at it as a portrait of the world desperate for safety. But all the while from the view of one person as she is also looking for safety. It's like one those toys with the a small box in the big box.
Great! let's keep it a free country as well. I just don't understand why you find it necessary to slander someone you don't agree with on every issue. You've got to at least admit that he stands by what he believes. I would think someone like yourself would find that important. If you are going to slander why not spend your time with 2 faced candidates that deserve it like Guliani and Clinton. You don't see me trashing Obama just because I'm free to do so.
Ah! lovely poem, for me it symbolizes, creation and procreation! The woman, mother nature, perhaps a diety, feeling the pain of lost love or never having found love, great compassion, but still the creator of beauty and of life and it's imminent cycle, death and rejuevenation! We are one life, from primordial soup to humankind, connected!
very symbolic indeed..I didn´t get the meaning of any of it...very nice poem Kim,despite my lack of understanding it, I like it.Sorry if I seem shallow..
It has been an odd week for me. I have waited over 30 years to read a book and archetypal figures play a central part in it. Memories Dreams and Reflections by C.G. Jung. I found the book when I was a child, and I knew I was not ready for it. As a teen I tried to read it and knew I was still not ready. As a young man, I went deeper into the book, but turned away knowing I was not prepared. Now as an older man, I am almost finished.

Where is the real Miss PINKOLA ESTES???
AngeMlO 1 year ago
@AngeMlO Don't know.
But Pinkonla Estes didn't write the legend...just used it for psycho analysis of the female experience.

Excellent writing! Please stick with poetry and not slandering candidates you haven't bothered to try to understand.

Nice sorta reminds me of the one I wrote;
Forever is that time in space
Where love still lingers in its place
Looking for the ones that lost
Who's heart has gone from cold to frost
Gathering hearts that were left alone
Matching them with hearts that once have known
Of what it means to share their love
To be in that place in space above

Consanguinity
In the chill of the gloaming
the mutant wriggled it's belly
from the brine to
primordial ooze
it's tail flagellating.
waiting for that first breath
without Sedna.
